PJ, I surely do wish you the best of luck dealing with the situation. It's hard to have a past history like that and be able to logically justify doing it again, but on the other hand, once that motherly instinct kicks in....well it's just better to just give in...I hope you find an amicable solution.

The only amicable solution at this point is to just let it happen. I understand the motherly instinct thing is at play here. But, ... well, not going to get into that here.

The wheels (literally and figuratively) are already rolling. She found a 2018 Niro on the dealer's lot today that she likes, struck a nice deal even without a trade, and is picking it up tomorrow or Friday.

38, feels like 28, gale warning posted, winds out of the North 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40mph.
Brrrr.

Jay, really nice to hear from you. I just have images of you in a toboggan being pulled by
your giant dog through the snow.

staying inside for the afternoon, garden club ladies wore me out. Had a nice chicken parm at local Italian restaurant, with extra red sauce,
had to take half home, portions as usual way too big for me, but getting two meals
out of one order is fine with me. Just have to keep eating Farmer's chicken.

37, feels like 27, still gusting over 30 mph. Couldn’t get a thing done outside due to the wind. Visited mom, talked to an old friend that I didn’t know was a resident there. He use to own the VW, Mazda and Audi dealerships here, still owns a large car wash complex.
Looked at a tractor today, a Simplicity CUT with loader and three point, has a deck, but I’d likely sell that. It is the perfect size for my use.

Welcome back, Jay.

Don, I like your "Texas 12 Days."

I thought I got a good deal at the Sunoco on Monday - gas for $1.93...but heard on the radio that the lowest price in the nation is at the Buccees (sp?) in Denton...Bird, isn't that near you? Is that the station with so many pumps?

Yep, that Bucee's is about 5 miles north of me. But 4 days ago, I filled one car with gas at Sam's Club, about 10 miles north of me for $1.919, and 3 days ago I filled the other car at a QuikTrip about 2 miles south of me for $1.919. And the Walmart about 2 miles south of me in Hickory Creek bulldozed their gas pumps and all associated construction a few months ago, and I noticed this morning that the new facility is now open and gas was $1.839 this morning. It has seemed to me that Bucee's has almost traditionally had the cheapest gas, but apparently the other places in the area have taken up the challenge. I haven't stopped by Bucee's in the last couple of weeks, so I'm not sure what their gas prices are now.

There is a great app for your phone or iPad called "GasBuddy".

Home from surgery. Reported as "nothing earth-shattering" found. Meniscus had degraded some, they removed additional portions. Some tibial bone was " rough", so that was smoothed. Some "debri" was removed. The actual surgery took about an hour. I did not want to wake up from the anesthesia....way too good of a nap....haven't slept so good in the last 9 months :D

I think the knee is finally fixed. There is minimal pain, feels better than the entire last 6 months. Hopefully it stays this way. No weight bearing for the next 3-5 days, getting used to the crutches again. Now if I can just get myself to remain bedridden for a couple of days.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT! It really means a lot to me. Prayers out for all others needing them.

So glad you're feeling better. Prayers for continued improvement.

New tractors, new teeth, rebuilt knee, decorations, car, trips, congrats all.
RNG, hope you get home soon. Do you get enough rain to catch an emergency supply?

We get it all here on GMT.

Thomas had a bear come visit the other night destroyed another bird feeder

I’m afraid your winter will be filled with heavy wet snow

Saw where a grizzly killed a mom and child daughter. Also saw where a 600+ lb black bear was shot. wow!

Farmer, congrats on the weight loss.

Eric, stealthily got his new tractor.

Will add that to end of life list:
Live your life so the preacher won't have to lie at your funeral....and....minimize death bed regrets.

I had a rough night last night myself. Abdominal pain. Pretty bad on my right side. Wifey thinks it's possibly a gall bladder/stone. Never had a gallstone or pain like that before. I finally took 4 Advil and after about 50 minutes, the pain subsided. Lot's of prayers and woke up feeling fine. Have a doctor appointment Tomorrow. Going to bed early here in a few minutes.

Jay, I'm thinking about Turner and hooch or some big crazy dog like that. What do you mean "natural muzzle?

RNG, hope you get back in soon. I'm telling you, a swimming pool could pull double duty. I guessing that guy was one of the meth heads you've spoken of before. Wow, what a sinister dude. The cops weren't going to let him have any excuses or leeway. Sounds like they've all had plenty of run ins with him before. Maybe all the meth head shanty shacks were alleviated....

Good night all.

Good evening all. 43F this morning, clear, calm wind. More wind today, 15-25 mph give or take, sky stayed clear, and high temp was 68F. Mens's mtg to start the day, then work on lights. Stopped to take a bike ride, then back to sorting out lights.Had to go to town at 3, groceries while wife got her hair permed. Dinner at the rib crib then home.
Don enjoyed the 12 day of Texas Christmas
As of tonight Buc-ee's of Denton 1.699/gal unleaded (10% ethanol)
Jay, welcome back. With regard to Brogen, if accidents persist, try pumkin on his food. We had a cat with similar problem, and vet found that pumpkin controlled the "output" far better.
PJ had the same problem with youngest stepson at one point. Finally asked what the exit strategy was, was able to talk through the motherly instinct enough that the financial aid tapered off.
prayers for all.

Who doesn’t love Bucee’s?! I drive 85 miles to work and there’s a Bucee’s located about halfway so it’s a perfect stop for to fill up on coffee when I roll through about 5 A.M. Plus I pump ethanol free gas for my small engine equipment.

Kyle hope the doctor finds out what was causing your pain

Buckeyefarmer glad you are completely recovered

Welcome FarmanJoe to the good morning thread

Do not pay much attention to gas as I run mostly diesel and it’s still high $2.93 a gallon

mighty cold this morning, 24 going up to maybe 50, but warming up over next few days, maybe that system coming from the South.
74 predicted for Saturday, won't that be nice.

cleaning ladies first thing, then an hour sitting in Ram dealer while they fix three different recalls, and then off to see my new tractor this afternoon.

Welcome FarmanJoe, lots of Texans here. I hope you like ice cream!
