Good evening all. 68F for the start this morning, overcast with light sprinkles, and .1 inches in rain gauge. Light wind with occasional moderate gusts, partial clearing in the afternoon, and high of 72F. Went to chapel, worked on Saturday's bike route, made hotel reservations for a wedding the wife and I are going to attend. Also watched some Cardinals baseball, Cowboy football, and read on my book Devotion a biography about two pilots in the Korean War.

Good morning, unlike those of you getting a soaking, it looks like a dry day ahead for us.

I don't think I'm getting as many flashes in my eye now, so I sat down outside last night to try and measure this strange thing. Last night I counted 25 light streaks in 10 minutes. Fortunately the ground has gone soft with the rain and I now have an air seat, so my wife has approved me taking the Iseki out as long as I go real steady.

CWB, I've not come across rodeo style mutton busting here. A few places do hold annual fun sheep races, however they are under pressure from people who oppose the use of animals for human food or pleasure. To me the sheep look like they are used to being handled and don't seem to be under stress, though I do detect some possible minor cruelty coming for the young boy dressed up in the "sheep dog" costume - when his parents show this to the girlfriends he brings home in a few years time

What a wonderful fair and fun for the children. I especially like the jockeys on the sheep. Glad your eye is better.

Hurricane path looks bad for Central and Western Virginia and NC for feet of rain, and of course, for the NC coast. My wife read Joe Bastardi's post that this could be the worst storm damage in recorded history. Better take it seriously.

Good morning all, 58 going to 76 with a 40-50% chance of showers/ T-storms. Got some more rain last night, not sure how much. No plans for today, will take it as it comes.

Eric, the only abuse I say was the little girl hitting someone with her balloon. Still praying for your eye.

43F cloudy low 60's for high.

Rain arriving late morning least until late tomorrow morning...we could use it.
Locking pickup about dark time got little surprise,one of gray fox pups slowly walk on top length of wood row than lay down on the mate,another pup trying to figure out how to join the pup on top...hmmm.
E muffin feed little critters slow roll to work.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 54° with rain this morning. Heading to 62° with continued rain. Did almost nothing yesterday. Then NASCAR race got canceled. Good relaxing day in the LazyBoy. Got .1" rain since yesterday afternoon. Did take wife to get a new airfryer. Works good and does not have a bunch of digital settings. Off to dentist this morning. Then nothing else planned.

63 outside, heading to lower 80's today. Rain expected today and the rest of the week. The hurricane looks to be pretty nasty for the mid-atlantic. Daughter made a shopping run last night for herself and said the food stables and water was already picked out.

Will have to secure stuff around the houses these next few days. Not much else going on. No run-in roof work. Cannot see putting half a roof on only to have a hurricane say something else. LOL.

Eric, streaks of light are not good or normal. Please go see a professional.
