I read with fascination Eric's descriptions of working outside in England.
Always thought that would be interesting, cool fog blowing over your head,
sheep in the meadow, rolling hills to look at, seems idyllic.
though it seems like he lives under a lot more rules than some of us do.
Zoning can be wonderful and it also can be a nightmare, particularly really old zoning.
I grew up in a 1720 house and the old deeds are wonderful reading. If you can figure out the jargon.
And where did all of the ancient old rules come from? Mostly England.
The Royals have been making rules for the Commoners for a long time.
And where did bureaucrats come from? Well, the name is French actually...
Of course some of the greatest wisdom our American ancestors could have been given
they not only ignored but tried to destroy. Wisdom of the Land from the American Indians.
The ends will never justify the means. So many countries have looked back in shame to what they
have done in the past. Politicians and Generals and Religious Crazies.
Maybe we could put them all in a big room...
