Good morning! Lot's of sun 78 to 100.
The "Drop Zone" has been dropped in place but two doors needed to be repainted, they looked OK to me, but the builder is very particular so he took them back to his paint booth to re-sand and paint. They should be back this morning to finish. I'll put the stone counter top on and get the cushion for the built in bench.
Pictures. Cushion?

I always feel better after drinking a no-cal sports drink.
I sweat so much I have to replace the salt, which I normally don't use in food.
So three flavors of something in the little fridge in barn. Need to turn a/c on in woodshop and cool that room down.
Gets stinky moldy smell in there if I don't. And there's a seat in there with a fan aimed at it, my cooldown seat. Ahhhh.

I need to start drinking some kind of drink for sweating. Should try my wife's Propel.

Kyle, i had to google the term, had never heard it. I think FP should be removed from TBN.

I have spare caps for my geo units, bought them a few weeks ago when one went down, and it was a pump instead. Now i need to fix the old pump, so it will be a spare.

Decided to have my annual labor day party.will get done what i can.

Pics soon. The cushion is for the bench where you sit on to put on or take off shoes and put them in the underneath storage space. The hooks behind the bench are for coats in the short winter and hats all year long, with my thinning hair.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 5:30AM. A good deal of sunshine. High near 80F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

I'll never understand what motivates people to behave badly toward one another. I just know that life is too short to tolerate that kind of behavior and do my best to keep those types at arm's length. Sorry you had to deal with that, Kyle. Just remember there's a reason the "Ignore" feature was put here on TBN.:grumpy:

You'er a very lucky man to have such a fine boy, Eric. Very generous of you to share with him the joys of spud bars and shovels, too!

Count me in on the sugar free sports drink fan club. I started drinking Power Aide Zero when I found out they fit the cup holders in the truck better than the "G" brand. But I wish they'd bring back the larger mouths on the bottle; the smaller holes are harder to hit in the middle of the night when I'm out camping!

Pulled the wiring harness for the old BMW out of a box yesterday and felt like I was dealing with a wad of snakes. It was all tangled and filthy, but fortunately only a bit of it was greasy/oily. Once I got it straightened out it was actually in pretty good shape, except for the front where it had been altered somewhat clumsily to work with a "rally computer" that replaced the traditional cable driven speedometer. It was state-of-the-art in its day, and horrendously expensive, but that was thirty years ago and it probably belongs in a museum. Unfortunately the original parts weren't included in the deal, and they're no longer available from BMW. So I'll patch up the bad wiring and go with what's there for now, but there is a new generation of instruments available at very reasonable cost that provide a lot of additional functionality. Some even use GPS technology for the speedo/odometer, but I'm not convinced that's very reliable based on the signal dropouts I experience with the XM radio. Anyway, got a good start on installing the harness yesterday, and will get a lot farther today.

Hope everyone enjoys yet another Hump Day. To me they seem to be coming along faster than ever before...

I believe RS should still be welcomed here, I just hope that he can somehow realize that there is a huge world outside and that politics should not be, the be all end all, go for the jugular game he makes of it.
I am no saint myself. I have been drug into the mud. But I don't fire the first volley.

Thanks for your support. I enjoy reading all of your endeavors.

Eric, when your son is done, send him my way.

A tad warmer this morning 38°, yesterday was in the low 70's and sunny. Today is going to be in the high 70's and clear. It looks like it's going to be a nice day.

Going up to help a neighbor clean out a garage this morning. I helped work on the sheep wagon yesterday. It's definitely a work in progress. I'm just doing it the way he wants it done. We only got the canvas ends on it yesterday. We had to stop and fix a electric fence for his horses.

Hope everyone has a nice day

74° here this morning and was very foggy here until almost 8 a.m. Our forecast is for a high of only 93° which is a big improvement over past several weeks.

Believe it or not we actually got 3/8”of rain yesterday afternoon which more than doubled our total rainfall for a July / August. The chance it won’t rain today has been lowered to 50% so fingers crossed?

I got majority of my trimmimg / cleanup completed around both tanks yesterday and a few more areas to spray with Glyphosate mix.

Our buddy RS, and a small band of like minded folks, are what’s wrong with FP. A thread can start out on friendly terms and good debate, then “they” show up and it all goes to crap. Lots of crude responses and personal attacks. Most of them Post nowhere else but FP. Hmmm ......... go to a Tractor Forum to argue politics? I suspect they’d all be way out of their league if they actually participated in political debate on a political forum?

It’s still fun to go over there and get them all stirred up though. It’s so easy and very predictable.

Time to get busy, hoping all have a great day!

Prayers to all needing them.

Bird
I haven't looked at one in several years now, but before we moved back to town, I bought one every year and used its recommendations for planting my garden.

We seem to currently just have perpetually the same weather; hot and dry; upper 70s to upper 90s each day. I started working on the yards at 7:30 a.m. yesterday and didn't finish until 11:30 a.m. This old age is tough. By the time I came in and got a shower, I could barely get around and am still sore this morning.
................................
Just about the same pattern up here Bird...11:30am ish lay low about 6pm ish start making little dust until dark.
Cooler weather soreness not as noticeable. ;)

88, heat index is 104, headed to mid 90s again. After tomorrow it’s supposed to cool off some. I saw the Almanac prediction of a cold snowy winter, I checked and saw that they predict this about 75% of the years.

RS came off as a very unhappy person to me, but he’s not alone, it’s why I got out of the political forums. I still comment on a couple of climate change topics, but if they keep going down hill, I’m leaving them as well.

70°F and rain this morning, going up to 79° with rain expected through most of the afternoon. Nice break from the recent days in the mid- and upper-90s.

And speaking of rain ... it's arrival this morning caused all manner of chaos on the area's highways. There were accidents everywhere, including my preferred route to work. Took me 2-1/2 hours to get here this morning (normally about a 1 hour drive). Not sure what these people will do when the weather gets really bad this winter. Am I getting old and cantankerous, or does the general population's driving really get worse and worse every year?

In the face of such obviously deliberate inconsideration, Kyle, your attitude towards it and it's source is commendable.

I had no idea all of that was going on here. I've still never been in the FP section, and still have no desire to go there. We all have a political view, and I admit that some of mine are strong in one direction. When asked, I gladly engage in discussions, so long as they remain civil. Once that line is breached, though, I'm done. From what I've been lead to believe from others here, that line simply doesn't exist in that part of the forum. And, that's too bad.

71°F and another 1.11 inches rain last 24 hours. Seems the Lane wetness is just clinging.
So, no mowing, bushhogging.

Interesting Sears visit. Tech determined dryer needs a new UI, the push button thingy. After he left dryer started twice on it’s own. Had to pull the plug.

Trip to town later as wife has bone density scan.

Too many of you here are working too hard.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Got the lawn mowed, early this time but the rain % goes up after today and I have been behind lately so this should help it to look better. Glad I am not working as hard as most of you. :) Ed

Got lawn cut. Plus a couple house items. Checked latest weather. Chance of rain dropped from 65% to 20%. It might as well rain. Humidity is very high. Drinking a bottle of Propel.

What is the purpose of the sheep wagon?
