Good moning all. 46F this morning and clear, light breeze. Forecast for 64F. Wind picked up at about 9:30 last night till after I went to bed. Taking wife Christmas shopping today.

home safe and sound, left three hours early when I saw the front was slow, made it seven hours of driving dry, last two hours wet. Better than I expected.
Toppop, sorry, I was on cruise and not stopping for anything, needed to get home by dark, did not want to drive in dark and rain.
Time for a very cold beer and a nap.

Well wife's dentist visit didn't go well. Tooth ache and she went by her self this morning. Well you need a root canal and the specialist can't do it till tomorrow morning. So she come back home with pain meds. Tylenol 3 didn't touch it so she calls back. Um we can start the root canal this afternoon to relieve the pain. I take her this time. After an hour and half she still wouldn't numb. Called it a hot tooth. Now stronger pain meds and antibiotics. No root canal tomorrow. The nerve block last less than an hour. But they did get it drilled and some antibiotics down into the tooth along with an oral. Dentist said he couldn't remember ever having to give someone that many shots and them still not numb. They will try root canal once infection is gone. Said it was bad enough that he couldn't even pull it. Maybe she can sleep tonight. Hasn't slept in two nights for more than a couple of hours each.

Thats the main thing, hopefully the pain will reside and she can get it finished in a week. Oh, if they break off the drill bit in the root it's ok, no need to try to get it out.

Today started wrong, ended wrong, and I hope tomorrow is a better day. Leaving the house at 6AM, discovered my trash can upset and one bag in the road, having been ran over a few times, and trash spread out along the road. I got what I could grab in a big bunch off the road, and left the rest. Fortunately my son picked up the rest after he got home from school. Worked a long day and coming home in the rain with accidents everywhere didn't help. Had a package delivered by UPS, package was not sealed. It had been stapled, but all the staples were pulled. I took a peak inside, and the inner box was also not sealed, nor was it labeled with what I ordered. Called UPS and told them I refuse to accept an unsealed package. They are picking up tomorrow.
Got a letter from my healthcare company that they are refusing to cover a Dr's visit. It was a followup visit for a procedure had a few months ago, (which I just had to have repeated a couple weeks ago.) Have another followup tomorrow with the same Dr. wonder if they will cover this visit. I tried calling them, but hung up after being on hold for half an hour.

Farmer, sorry about them "torturing" your wife, which is what it must feel like. Really hope she got some sleep last night.
gives me the shivers thinking about it; dentist drills are bad news for me, ever since a surgeon put four inches of titanium in my neck. Things start vibrating...

Buckeye, geez I bet you were grumbling yesterday. Feel like you were surrounded by idiots? And then you got dumped on...a classic one two, but the fighter did not go down...yeah.

silly warm here, woke up to a totally quiet house, no hvac noises, seemed warm, and well, yes it is, 67 degrees out on Dec 15 at 4am is pretty darned warm. And will be for two more days. Then a big rain event, and clear and cold for the weekend. I bet some of that "rain event" is going to make some Northern state children delighted at getting out of school. Supposed to be a big snow system coming across the Rockies and the High Plains now. Bar the door Mattie, it's cold out there...
But not here.

I wasn't back an hour yesterday when I got invited out to another christmas cocktail party. These two ladies/blind dates/friends are quite delighted to have someone to take them to these parties. That makes four so far. And the last...except for mine. then I'm going into detox and hiding.
