Today is the anniversary of the first moon landing. I still remember where I was and watching intently on TV. Hard to believe it was 49 years ago.

We have up to 70% rain predicted for the next 8 days. Must be because im camping this weekend..

70°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 95° today. Supposed to settle back into the 80s for the weekend.
St. Louis has long had a nice zoo, and it's always been free. There's always talk of charging an entry fee, but it always gets shot down. They claim there's never enough money to remain free, yet they always seem to find what they need. Fundraising propaganda, I guess.

And I had just recently (the previous October) bought our first color TV; a 19" Penncrest from J.C. Penney. And we were in the first house we ever bought. Yes, I do still remember.

The low this morning was 49*, yesterday high was 91*. Today is going to be in the high 80's with 30% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Going to try and replace two roof vents on the camper this morning. Still have a lot to get done to it before it's ready to go. It's been setting for about ten years.
I need to get bigger hummingbird feeder's.

4am for me too last two mornings
Forecast just doubled to an inch and a half of rain tonight, wondering how it doubles again before it gets to Toppop's, could be a big storm and a who knows.
I really dislike nighttime storms, like to be able to connect audio with visual.
Just back from errands, headed out to pick tomatoes and okra. Sure won't have to water...
There are areas I need to rototill and this coming rain will sure soften things up.
forecast says an hour til rain but radar says longer. Looks like an inside day. Or better, a clean up the barn woodshop day, that's long overdue.
Might even qualify for a pic when I'm done.
My cheap old Craftsman band saw needs to get replaced.
any suggestions for woodworking? I used to get all the woodworking catalogs in PA, they never followed me here.
Will ask this in Shop Time too. Maybe a Grizzly or ?
And now regarding the likely unobtainable, anything still made in the US? Other than industrial...

Just over 50 years ago my aunt took me to a zoo in California.
I'm ashamed to say I don't remember any of the animals, only the burger with a really tasty sauce and pickles. That made San Diego one of the highlights of my entire holiday in America :laughing:
