The low was 40* this morning, yesterday was in the mid 70's and sunny. It looks like it's going to be partly cloudy and in the 70's again today.

I did get done painting the shed yesterday. I have one more painting job to do before I put everything up. I'll get that done some time next week.

I'm working on a few little project I in joy more then painting. Also need to go up and check on a neighbors place this afternoon and make sure her horses are still there.

Lenny ... It looks like a nice place.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
CWB.

It's 4:30 a.m., 77 degrees, and I'm going out right now to get the yard mowed before the sun comes up and it gets miserably hot.

I would never have thought I could last 4 hours, but I got our yard, and the one next door, mowed, edged, trimmed, and the driveways and walks blown off, AND our shrubs pruned and got done by 8:30 a.m. NWS says we're going for a high of 100 today with a 30% chance of some showers.

68 this morning and headed to 82 today. Currently 75. Heat back by mid week.

Walk birds. Then probably put Bush hog on and see about clipping some pastures. While curtain installers are here. Then go help buddy saw some lumber.

Do have to say the guy this company hired to clean up the mess is a lot better than his boss. Guy that created the mess still there but not dealing with customers any more. New guy has kept me informed of changes over last week even the bad news. Like curtains came in yesterday but conduit to hang them with was sent to another state by the supplier. So he sourced new conduit overnight locally. A little bigger but shouldn’t have any effect on performance. Conduit is run through a pocket in curtain and then a slit is cut and string is inserted and tied to conduit to hold up curtain.

Lenny. Nice place.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Another hot SC day shaping up here. We had some decent Tstorm activity here yesterday. Fortunately after our boat tour of Lake Hartnell in BIL's H190 Fourwinn I/Oboard. The winds did make for some chop. It never ceases to amaze me how some boaters seem to ignore the threat of Tstorms while on the water.

Don- It seems that your pets are adjusting to communal living. I have range/signal boosters for the hardline and cell and cordless phones. Everything seems to work, even though I have no clue why.

Ed- Cogratulations of the the new tools. I suspect that they will be well used.

Eric- Thanks for sharing your sober, "Twilight Zone" experience. Interesting contrail.

RNG- What a catastrophe. I wonder how much bourbon ran downhill into the stream below? BIL and GF have toured that distillery. They tell me that is pretty decent bourbon too. :(

Bird- I am glad you got your projects done before the heat builds.

"... when you love to eat, losing weight isn't easy"- Drew. Good luck with the diet. I really do not want to "weigh in" once we return home and see just how much weight I have re-gained. My SPF shirt is well worn. I hate applying sunscreen. I have never used sprayon sunscreen. I plan to give it a try. I survived yesterday's 3 hour boat tour w/o burning .

Randy- It looks like our return home will involve I85  and a ferry ride to a stopover in Cape May, VA .

Buppies- As you posted, we will be returning to NE heat & humidity. Not my favorite weather unless there are associated Tstorms.

Lenny- You and your wife have have a really nce place. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the doors.

Thomas- What a gift from Nature to appreciate. From your posts you seem to be a beneficiary to many similar experiences.

Roy- My fallen leaf management is similar to yours. Fortunately for me we get sufficient winds to blow a lot of leaves into the surrounding woods.

CWB- I hope that your wife's shoulder continues to mend. I suspect your cooking is better than reported.

I hope the knees keep mending.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

94, feels like 124, going to see how under the shade trees feels while I water the garden.
now if I hooked up an inverter to the car battery running my electric fence charger, I could put in a fan...

found Japanese beetles all over the okra this morning. Sprayed them with insecticidal soap and that cleared them off. Heavy rains earlier this week
clearly has washed off all the earlier garden spray. Green beans and okra under attack by bugs, that means the cabbage is too.
Rough world out there...lot of uninvited diners.
