Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. I have been out a little earlier than normal to slip into a hide before squirrel breakfast time. Max was at the door to greet me when I returned, licking his lips and wondering if there will be enough to share come tea time.

Ed, that early delivery must have been a great surprise . - almost as big as the surprise we got when we heard you are at last going to start sharing a few pictures  :D

Last night I was admiring the sunset when a distant plane suddenly seemed to ricochet off a sliver of cloud. Nope, I hadn't been raising a glass or two with RNG - here is the non alcoholic proof (and I promise pic has not been photo shopped !)

Good morning all, 64 going to 83 with a 40% chance of heavy rain. Brought a toll box base cabinet around from the shop to the garage to set the mill on and am seeing that it is to wide for the mill. The power feed hangs down so the mill needs a narrow base unless i offset it a lot. Still thinking.

Eric, was that the twilight zone???

Don, am planning to make sanity. I don't know about you but it is hard on my mind to just do laundry, help change diapers, Listen to the same videos every day and sing the same songs over and over every day. Not complaining, just need something to get my mind going.

Thanks for all the encouragement, Prayers for good things for you all. Have a great day. Ed

53 right now...going to be a nice mid-60's today and maybe some rain late in the day.

Chores: Haircut at 0830 or so...then a dump run. After that, I'm going to visit a sick friend....
I think I'd written about my sick friend in Good Morning a couple weeks ago.. He has a lung disease which severely impedes his breathing, and is on oxygen most of the time. I cannot recall the name of the disease...not cancer, but it causes the lungs to lose their flexibility. Anyway, a couple weeks back, one of his doctors told him he had 3-6 months left...
He and his wife went to their regular doctor who informed them the guy who said 3-6 months didn't have all the information...and that 3-6 month prediction was totally bogus. My buddy should have years left....
Now, how's that for medical incompetence? I cannot imagine being told I have a limited time left on earth...then "Oops!...wrong prediction!"

I'd mowed most the lawn yesterday...hope to finish it up before it rains today. Any luck, I'll hit the field too...

Yea it’s working, I have 5 bars now on m-cell 4g. But it sure sucked a lot of energy from the neighborhood and I’m probably going to get a letter from the HOA.

It contains alien technology!

It's 4:30 a.m., 77 degrees, and I'm going out right now to get the yard mowed before the sun comes up and it gets miserably hot.

   / Good morning!!!! #77,866
Good morning! Don, glad the M-cell did the trick! I loved it.
Eric, Dons new booster is summoning the Klingons.
A hot and rainy day on the way here.

Ended up going to Cape Charles, VA instead of Carlisle due to weather. Ellen and I and the doggie had s great day!

very warm morning, never got below 78 last night, into mid 90's again today.
I got most of the mowing done yesterday and got a little sunburned in the process.

Ed that sounds really exciting. I never got far enough in Shop to learn how to use a lathe, but am really impressed with those of you
who do. Do you have a favorite micrometer?

My older lady friend is coming over for coffee at 9am, begged off garden tours, it's just miserable out. sun is coming up so I'm headed out to pick okra.
I held off picking it for her but if I don't pick almost daily, it gets too big. And woody apparently. Very interesting vegetable, very fibrous, full grown plants have such woody stalks
you either have to use a chain saw or big loppers on them when the season is done. Gorgeous yellow flowers where the okra is growing, on a deep maroon and green plant. Vegetable art.

picked one pail of miserable stunted corn, going to shuck it this morning. Actually felt good to run the disc for an hour and get rid of that huge weed pile, but gosh it was hot out yesterday.
I don't know how you guys do it with open tractors haying in this heat. If I hadn't drank a sports drink before starting, I think I would have keeled over off the tractor. Thankfully we got a surprise inch of rain the night before so at least I wasn't kicking up a lot of dust. By the end of yesterday I was tired and sunburned. Going to cool it today. More thunderstorms this afternoon in high heat, yuk.

Scale said 204 this morning, sweated off another pound. 4 more to go.
when you love to eat, losing weight isn't easy, though in this high heat not much of appetite.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.
Good health and contentment for all.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 65° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with 80% chance of rain. Yesterday ended up being a do nothing day. Did not get my shopping done. Top of my plans for today is do yesterdays shopping.

Don, Whipper, Gray2 and no power. Then 5 bars on M-cell. Life is an adventure. Hope the lock change goes well.

Ed, maybe you need the extra space to put your tools.

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

Worked in the yard loading the piles of grass cuttings that wife left with the sweeper. The kubota bucket and the the AgriFab trailer holds about 4 and 5 piles respectively. Long way to go though. Loading by armful after armful is the best way I've figured out so far. Kubota bucket with tooth bar tore up the yard when I tryed it.

Some weed eating got done. Mostly around the trees and rock walls.
Place is looking "presentable" now but long way to go. IMG_2700.JPGIMG_2701.JPGIMG_2702.JPGIMG_2705.JPG
Carpet guys showed up for cottage and promptly told wife that the doors had to come off the two rooms because the carpet she ordered wouldn't fit under them. No problem she thought for me. But between the doors, closets, and cubbies built into the attic bedroom I had 10 doors to remove! All well and good until I realized at the first hinge they were all old paint encrusted slotted straight screws and the pins couldn't be removed. I barely out run the installers as they worked on the other room.
Guys did an excellent job though.
Now I have to refit the doors and see what needs cut off each one.

Off to dump before forecasted rain to get rid of carpet, Home Depot for Phillips screws for those hinges and then the farmers market.
Best wishes to all.

68 and misty foggy cool, going to 88...probably more rain. Rained all day yesterday, but at least it never got above the 70s.

We are having about the most creek and field flooding and ground saturation we have ever had living here for 33 years. Local kayaking/whitewater river is flooding due to floodgate release at the upstream dam. Forecast looks good after today.

Ed, congrats on the new tool...I bet you would have liked to stay and talk with your old friend a bit longer, though.

Eric, thanks for sharing that neat photo.

CWB, I bet your cooking isn't really that bad.

LS, hope things cooled off for you and you get some rain.

Two sons that were visiting have both gone, so need to make a Costco run and restock.

That sun burn is not good Drew you and I both know better

yeah, I put sunscreen on and then come in and wash up and forget to reapply. I now put spf70 on my legs when I'm mowing.
Legs get baked after three or four hours out there.
I may look like I have a GQ tan right now but it's not a healthy goal. I'm fair skinned and tan/burn easily. Thank goodness for spray
sun screen and spf rated shirts

Nice place, Lenny!

Gosh it sure it. Like the before picture on the Scott's fertilizer bag...the layout is great with gentle slope rises. Lots of shade too.
I'm seeing chairs and a table out there with a big umbrella and a dripping pitcher of iced cold lemonade.

   / Good morning!!!! #77,878
Good morning! 74˚ heading to the high 90s cloudless sky.
Ed, excellent project and you have already named your first piece of art - sanity!
Lenny, you have a good setting with the white house, large trees and rolling yard. We all know how much it takes to maintain it to the park like setting and it really looks great!
Eric with the time difference I think that that deflection of the aircraft probably coincides with the plug in of the microcell. You really have to watch out what people on the internet send you.:D
