Buppies; Thomas hope the problems are not as bad as they seem. Messing with wells is like hiring a lawyer expensive [/QUOTE said:

Isn't that the truth. :confused2:
Well had history last 37 years..struck by lighting,2 broken water lines, over flows....oh well could be worse. :confused3:

hawkeye08 I dislike water well problems enough that we proactive replaced pump/wires/pipe in well last year. We also replaced pressure tank and control box. We should be in good shape for awhile now.[/QUOTE said:

Another thing we have in common...dang wells.
Almost 3 years ago we did the same but not supply line from well to house. :(

It's that time of year again . . . . NWS says it's 79 degrees for a low this morning and going for a high of 101 this afternoon. But the forecast also includes a 20-30% chance of some rain showers after 4 p.m. I don't believe it, but guess I can hope.

Plans for today...not real sure yet but I am sure puttering will near the top of the list.

Enjoy the day all.

Drew, jersey mikes are good, but pricey. Walmart has good subs and less expensive.

Mowed yard with massey and 6ft finish mower. Cant get as close with it, but it will do until the rider is fixed. Got email that new axle arrives tuesday. Also mowed field, which was really tall.

Also have funeral to attend tuesday, and get my crown on that afternoon.

Tonight is Church summer pig roast. We invite local senior center, police, and others. All free. We dont hold fund raisers like most, these are to support the community.

LS, hope all is well with son's place.

Big storm last night around 1030. Lots of rain, more called for today.

42 and going to 75. Wind NNE 10 gusting to 17 mph. Sunny.

The wind should keep the bugs at bay until I get the garage floor finished.

Fire is a good thing when it is harnessed, but a bad thing out of control. My thoughts are with the people affected by the fires.
I have been caught in two fires in my lifetime and don't wish that on anybody, friend or foe.

Roy, that looks like my grill/bar-b-q. I have had mine for 5 or 6 years and it works good, but it cost me a lot more than $300.oo. More like about $600.oo, but then what do you expect, I live in Kanuckistan. Pretty much anything you can buy in the 'states will cost me double up here. I live too far from the border to warrant slipping into the 'states to get stuff cheaper.

A dump run is scheduled for this morning, then park the Jeep and trailer on the new floor for the summer. After the dump then load up the Dodge for the trip south tomorrow morning. Motel it tomorrow night and show up at the yard on Monday around 9 A.M. Load the truck up Monday and go to work Tuesday.
The crew I haul to is starting on Wednesday in Timmins, On. All loads will be got out of North Bay, ON until we get up to Beardmore, then the loads will come out of Thunder Bay, ON.
The only opportunities to slip by the house will come when we are hauling out of N.B.
That might be the reason I carry 3 kit bags and 3 coolers with me. 2 coolers are for food storage and 1 for keeping stuff cold.
Then there is my camera kit and laptop.
When you see some of the places I end up parked, you will understand why I carry my own food and entertainment.

Have a good day all

...I am an Uncle Bill, too.

Got all trails done, and that ZTR really flies. Even at NASCAR speeds I had 3 deerflies successfully outrun me and take a bite....

I'm an uncle, and i get lots of bills, does that count?

Ive been pricing ZTs. Bad timing with 2 college kids. I want a diesel, but can't swallow that price right now. So looking at gas, but they are $8-$10k with 60" deck and Suspension seat.

Flies were bad mowing last night, got big welt on my arm.

Good morning to all! A chilly morning, low of 44. Going up to 86, winds should be mild. Still saying 50% chance of showers tomorrow. That would be a good help for the firefighters battling the wildfires.

So far good news for my son, at the last minute, they allowed them to stay home, with "be ready to go" orders. The wind had calmed down and changed direction. Still burning real close, but hopefully will continue to avoid homes.

Drew, good luck with the 'tater digging'. Hope they get a lot of production.

LNF, looks like you got a lot accomplished! Did you tell your travel agent that you now need a break? Be safe out there...I look forward to see some of your "parking locations".

Thomas, hope your well situation is working out and you're able to get by until it's fixed.

Ron, I hope that the 'test result' is just precautionary, and everything is ok.

Roy, Hope your assembly goes well, just remember....patience, patience...

Kyle, hope things are going ok with your daughter.

Ed, are you living in 'cool comfort' yet?

Prayers out for those needing, a few extras also. Everyone have a great weekend!

Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 91F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Things are already off on the wrong foot with the 17” laptop again siezed up. The replacement memory didn’t fix it, and the original memory (smaller) was running OK for the past week or so. So fiddling with it again is back on the agenda for today.

The rain we got last week has produced another crop of weeds, so if the wind holds off another couple hours I’ll be out spraying again. Then I’ll reload with Brush-B-Gone and go after the poison oak sprouts that have come up. Small revenge for the dosing I got last week, which is improving but still hanging on.

Cylinder stud repair seems to have worked and I was able to enjoy a few hours on the bike yesterday afternoon. Lake Alamanor was beautiful as usual, and the cool 75F temperatures felt very nice after 85F+ here. Most of the college kids have gone home and traffic was also light in Chico, especially considering it was the five o’clock rush hour, or what passes for it in little ol’ Chico.

Hope everyone stays safe and enjoys improving health this weekend...

83 with a dew point of 74, it’s a sauna out there now. Big rains later and a cool nor’easter moving in for tomorrow.
