Good morning!!!!

We usually have very few mosquitos, but many gnats...this year we have both in enough volumes to start an export business, if I could find any buyers.

Wng, not the best year to start that business, with the rate at which my windscreen got splattered the other evening, I doubt even the most masochistic of insect lovers will feel the need to import any extra.

Good morning all. Our gravel yard is looking more like a duck pond this morning thanks to heavy overnight rain. Hope it stops soon as my wife is looking forward to visiting a private garden not far away that is letting people in to look around in return for a donation to charity. There are quite a few who do this, all listed in a little yellow book that is published each year.

LS, hope they can get the fire under control before it reaches your son's house.

Good morning all, second of June. 73 degrees going to 90 today, chance of thunderstorms this afternoon per normal.
Welcome Bunyip and G'day.

LS, scary stuff with fire, hope your son is ok.

trying to wake up, need to get moving, headed out for ice, and getting set up for the volunteers/public showing up.
I ordered hoagies for lunch for everyone and was really shocked when told the total by a new Jersey Mikes here. 145 bucks for 11 hoagies.
Really? Am I paying to rehab all of Camden?.....;) No wonder Subway does so well....almost cancelled the order but just groaned. At least the food will get eaten.

Lots to do, you all have a great day, should have some good pictures tonight.

Praying for those sick and those affected by nature.
Drew, good luck on the lady hunt, I want looking at all when mine found me.
Don, you’ll have to go out to Kyles house and play with his tractors now and then.
JB, thanks for your concern for all of us, it’s very comforting.
Ed, hope you’re getting to good place in life and nothing else breaks on you.
BEF, keep the funny stuff coming, and hope this rain isn’t so bad on you. Buppies, keep getting well. Still plan a day visit when I get in the neighborhood.

Lots of rain coming, glad I got the spraying done st Ellen’s place.
Went to dinner with her Don and his GF last night, good kid but near clueless on life, is GF is pretty sharp though and keeps them straight.

Not sure what will be on the agenda today.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 54° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 73° mostly cloudy skies. Got little over .5" rain yesterday evening. Doctor visit went OK. But as usual it got 1 test and another doctor appointment. I feel really good. But test say there is a problem. :confused3:
Cutting lawn is today's project. Also get blower out and try to cleanup some of the Maple Helicopters that seem to be in over abundance this year.

bunyip, 30° F and 57° F would be good winter temperatures here. But for first day of winter? What are the temperatures going to be 45 days from now.

LS, prayers for Son, family and other in way of the fires.

Drew, you are so genorous.

Prayers for those healing and in need.

Good Morning All.

64 right now...high about 80 today and sunny.

First order of business is a dump run in a couple hours. If it's dry enough, I'll mow the back yard. I have a gas grill to assemble, so I'll see what's involved in that. The manual states two people can assemble it in 50 minutes....translated to reality, that means probably most of the weekend for me!

Hopefully, I'll get to mowing the field this weekend and dropping a couple small trees. I'm probably being too optimistic though...

Good morning! 76˚ dark. The heat index will be getting over 100 the next few days. Early start this morning, will be packing and pre-moving till the pros come next week with their young backs and big truck. New owner came by last night to drop off his cargo trailer and take his grandkids fishing. A big 2' bass gave then a big jump before escaping.

Same here...and now many are sprouting everywhere. I had to use the shop vac to get them out of the cowl top vent on my wife's SUV since they fit so tightly.

Oh no, he might go back and read about all the snakes. At least he was here the other night when whipper found a copperhead in the yard.

69 going to 81 and rain starting mid-day...they say we can get up to 4 inches through Sunday. Wish I could share it with New Mexico and Colorado...hope all are safe.

Randy, great photo...those drained swamp soils can grow some great crops...I am an Uncle Bill, too.

Ron, hope not too serious.

Bunyip, after battling the heat, humidity, and bugs yesterday, freezing sounds awful good about now.

I was able to mow almost everywhere yesterday, except a one half acre part of the Coco Frisbee field that still is too wet. Got all trails done, and that ZTR really flies. Even at NASCAR speeds I had 3 deerflies successfully outrun me and take a bite...I'm sure they spit it out at first taste.

We watched the phoebe chicks fledge yesterday...phoebes are such amazing acrobats, but not at first :). Tree swallows are still using their nesting box and took great interest while I was mowing and kicking up insects.
