46 now, 60s later, rain moving in later as well.
Did too much yesterday, mowed two lawns, one with a little Sears tractor mower. those Superman pills (steroids) had me thinking I was better than I was. Miserable night lying in semi fetal position on my left side, suffocation feeling on the right so no changing position. No work today period.

Prayers guys, have a good day.

Randy, REST !!!

Also Drew, the V means V8, could be 265 or 283.

gotcha, had a 265 in a 1956 Chevy wagon, my oldest brother's car, man that thing was tough,
Powerglide and 265, not much power but sure sounded better than the six, and 283 was a late option in 1957 from poor memory.
I think they bored the 283's out to 301 (long time ago...) and my next older brother's best friend had a gorgeous 57 Belair coupe, red and white,
4 speed on floor, and I'm guessing about 325hp from a bored motor. And zero sound insulation. What a noise and when he powershifted the whole front of the car jumped up.

And who can forget those rubber cone shaped bumper extensions, that had a wonderful name back then one can't use any more, but part of a lady's anatomy comes to mind.
No more cone shaped extensions...:D

A trip to the hardware store is the only thing on my 'to do' list for today.

Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 4:45AM. Partly cloudy. High near 80F. ENE winds shifting to SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Showers due in over the weekend, but hardly any accumulation.

Hope the steak was to her liking, Jay. All things in moderation, just don't miss any of 'em!

Hope you feel better soon, Randy.

Still sorting through the refrigerator and freezer, tossing out stuff brought in over the weekend, repackaging and freezing some leftovers, and eating some junk food I should have also thrown out.

Scheduled an ebay auction for the old k-bike, with a higher starting bid and shorter deposit and full payment deadlines. Put up a video of it starting and running on Youtube, and linked it into the ad copy. Also put in more buyer restrictions, hopefully enough to weed out the deadbeats. :confused2:

Will start in replacing tires on neighbors flatbed trailer today. Sure hope the beads seat without using starting fluid. Got away with it once without mishap, having to do it four more times is just asking for trouble. Now where did I put those new tires?:confused2: Oh yeah, out in the big box trailer...

1957...might be a '56, but if I was a betting man, I'd go with '57

Triple 5 Chevys.

Good morning all. Haven't been here in a while. Been busier than a bee. Lots of home remodeling projects going on at the moment.
Here are some of them:
1) House exterior painting: Paint cost $1500. Contractor quote: $14K. Told him to take a hike.
2) Vinyl siding repair: Material cost $400. Contractors' quotes: $17K/16K. Told them to hit the road.
3) Front door relocation: Material cost $1200. Contractors' quotes: $10K/11K. Told them to get off my land.

For some reasons, I'm getting outlandish quotes where labor costs far far exceed material costs. My rule of thumb for home construction projects used to be 400% mark up from material e.g. $200 material cost will be $800 labor for a total of $1000. Am I out of touch?

Weather is nice down in Cajun land this week. Too bad I don't have time to go fishing.

Well, I’m going to add a caveat, it has some Bel Air trim which can be added but I believe it’s a 210 with gold inserts added in the fenders in place of chrome on 210.

Also Drew, the V means V8, could be 265 or 283.

If I recall the chrome V, on the hood, was the 265 c.i. V8 and gold V designated the 283 c.i. V8. No V was the inline 6.

The 210 had stamped indentations, on the front fenders, while the Bellaire had gold inserts.

Not mine but, same model and color I owned in early 1960’s.
