He doesn't have everything him needs to finish up the trailer. He is taking some goats to auction in Utah tomorrow and picking up the stuff he needs there. I might go down with him.

CWB, that may be fun if the trailer isn't ready - goats can be really stubborn about wearing their seat belt .

Good morning all. Cooler here this morning and rain soon set to arrive for an all all-day soaking. Looks like I'm back to firing up the woodburner.

Getting a replacement mirror was easier than I had expected. The approvals numbers moulded into the housing helped me track down who had made it, then from the manufacturers website I found a stockist in a town just over into Wales. Hadn't been there before and discovered it was one of those pre-internet era places, with exactly what I needed and great service to go with it. With wonderful scenery on the journey and lots of twisting roads to enjoy in the new Subaru, it won't be long before I find an excuse to go back there.

LS, will that fencing be round posts and half-round rails, or do you prefer the look of rectangular posts and rails ? Unless you are in stone free ground, 500' is going to keep you busy for quite a while.

Good morning all, 51 this morning going up to 52 with 100% chance of rain. Calling for up to 2 3/4 in, we will see. Moved a cabinet out of the tractor (lawn mower) shed and put the snow blower in it's place and took the load of brush to the dump. Also ordered a new chuck for my old metal lathe. Now all I need to do is find the box that has the tool holder from the lathe in it. SP 5, where are you? Plan to lay low today and let it rain.

JB tell your wife happy birthday.

Prayers sent and have a great day. Ed

Ed, don't wash away in all that rain. Raining lightly here, so far a nice pitter patter but I think that will change as a gale warning starts in a few hours. .11 so far, another inch to come forecasted. All good. My corn is thirsty!

1957 Chevy, Rick knows the models best and that V on the front of the hood says it originally had a 283 V8, though I bet there is something bigger in there now.

I started out on a stripper light green 1955 Chevy four door, whatever the cheapest model was (my grandfather and father were not into cars at all) with a blue flame six and three on the tree. Gosh they were durable cars but drove like trucks compared to today.

Happy Birthday to Mrs Brumberg.

Headed to Food Pantry for distribution morning, taking them a couple boxes of Entemann's chocolate donuts for the help/volunteers.
Nothing fresh this week, maybe snow peas next week? Maybe...

Looking forward to getting caught up inside. Huge roll of landscape fabric delivered on front porch yesterday, 250 feet of very heavy duty stuff, most of the junk I bought at Lowes has shredded already. GREAT VALUE! said the Lowes label. No, hardly value at all when the product decomposes in one month. Major Fail.
Bought the good pro stuff but gosh is it heavy. That is on my to do list for tomorrow. And I got another 500 ground staples. Going to be fun some day getting all that metal out of the ground...though the staples rust pretty quickly, not likely good on implement tires...however I have no intentions of dismantling the fenced garden any time soon.

Hope you all have a nice day.

54 and the rain is just getting here. Only get up to 61.

Happy Birthday to Mrs Jay. Hope the dinner out was nice.

Rick, thanks for the good info on gly and RM43. I stopped by Agri-Supply on my back from turkey hunting yesterday where they have better prices on 41% gly and took a look at the RM43. I am not familiar with the safety data on Imazapyr, and we use well water, so just opted for the 41% GlyStar Plus...$42.99...have good results with it...and definitely follow all label directions and only spray in no wind conditions.

BEF, can't get over how a high end product would be shipped with such a easy to QC hitch problem.

LS, I bet it is exciting to start your planning with your wife.

Tilled the garden again before today's big rain saturates it...will probably till one more time and plant after it dries out. Dug a couple more FELs of wet sand from the upstream pond beaver dam bustout that caused a flood to accumulate sand at my bridge...been filling in a low area on my path...only problem is that to get the sand into the FEL, I have to hand shovel it, and just use the tractor as an expensive wheel barrow...no way to get the tractor into this spot of the creek...a backhoe would work, but don't have one. I counted yesterday...stopped at 50 heaping shovels full to reasonably fill the FEL before it started falling out. I guess I was born to be a ditch digger. I just chalk it up to be the replacement for my gym workout for the day.

Hope this fabric does better for you...I'm interested in how it turns out. I spent over 4 hours recently pulling shredded landscape fabric up, piece by little piece, and hunting for the associated staples. Granted, I should not have left it down all winter, but it had already shredded and begun tearing last summer before the harvest was even over. It was the "premium brand" but I also used a cheaper brand, which lasted all winter just fine, and pulled up in long sections without tearing...I just can't remember the brand name, but believe I can tell if I find it in the store.

Last year was the first year trying out this fabric, which did help with weed control.

Not only 57, but fairly rare 210 2 door hardtop, most were Bel Air.

Well, I’m going to add a caveat, it has some Bel Air trim which can be added but I believe it’s a 210 with gold inserts added in the fenders in place of chrome on 210.

Also Drew, the V means V8, could be 265 or 283.

46 now, 60s later, rain moving in later as well.
Did too much yesterday, mowed two lawns, one with a little Sears tractor mower. those Superman pills (steroids) had me thinking I was better than I was. Miserable night lying in semi fetal position on my left side, suffocation feeling on the right so no changing position. No work today period.

Prayers guys, have a good day.
