We have Costco here and are members. But we only go there every few months. Sams club chickens are just as good and you do not have to worry about getting run over by disgruntled Costco shoppers. Our Sams club is closer than both Costco’s.
Best day to shop at Costco here is Wednesday 10:30 am.

I would use Costco a lot more if they had early opening for Business Members like Sam’s Club does. Sam’s opens at 7 a.m. for business members. You’re right about disgruntled customers at Costco. Seems like every time I’m in a Costco I run into at least one or more rude pi$$ed off people. I’m probably not renewing Costco.

Rick- Thanks for your reply.

I was surprised that you reported no snow, so I checked on a couple of surface weather maps and saw a map symbol that I have never seen before (or can not remember seeing) down your way:
Dry Line - a boundary separating moist and dry air masses. It typically lies north-south across the central and southern high Plains states during the spring and early summer, where it separates moist air from the Gulf of Mexico (to the east) and dry desert air from the southwestern states (to the west). Moist air mixing with cold can = fog.

Moist air mixing with cold can = fog. Yep, that’s the definition. We have dry lines here year round.

It almost seems like too much oil when I take off the cover and look at the clutch, clutch may be slipping because of the oil.

Could be the bar id plugged with sawdust and the oil has to go somewhere. Ed

Well, no tractor, I stopped to have lunch so naturally I started posting! I got there and a guy was there with a trailer loading the scoop, back blade and finish mower. The owner wasn稚 there, I said did you buy the tractor, he says, No, just this stuff. So finally the owner ambles out there and says well she痴 all ready to go! I said it looks like most of it already went! Then he says, well, you just wanted the tractor. I said no, we had a deal on everything. Then the generous SOB says it痴 OK I知 going to take $500 off. I didn稚 even answer him, I got in my truck and headed to KENT Narrows to the Cracker Barrel for some catfish before my BP got out of hand. I guess I知 never going to get a tractor.

Was this a Craig's List deal? Seems like I used to meet the nicest people off Craig's list, but now they're as bad as eBay. Sorry it went sideways, Randy, but you'll find a better deal. At least that's the way it always seems to work for me, right after I buy something!

Looking on the bright side, if the seller was such a flake, it's a good thing you didn't end up with his tractor. It was probably under maintained and who knows what was wrong with it that he didn't tell you about.

Wow, that sucks.
Didnt know they had cracker barrel on kent. I used to go to fishermans.

Quality at Fishermans’ fell way off over the last 10-12 years in my opinion, but a flounder sandwich at lunch was $14 last time I stopped there about 2008.

Just got back from Costco and $250 poorer and that's no meat or drugs or paper goods or drinks. Come to think of it what did I buy? Oh wait I did buy can tuna for Graytwo he gets a third of a can every morning.
65˚ need to get out and enjoy this cloudy day now that the fog has lifted.

My chainsaw chain starts to slow down during cutting and it starts to smoke. The engine revs stay the same. Has the clutch gone out? Repair or replace?

What?! Your cat isn’t vegan? LOL

Kent Island & narrows got too commercialized, i remember it from 30 yrs ago....
Havent been there in probably 12 years, if not more. Friend of mine had a big boat, kept it on the island. Went out with him around 2004 timeframe. Went up to Rock Hall.

Have you been to watermans in Rock Hall?

I haven’t, I went up there to look at a GTO about 20 years ago and it was worse than my tractor experience today.
Also we went up there and over to Solomon’s and all over the bay in my Donzi, back in the 80’s. Never was at the Waterman’s at Rock Hall that I recall though.

Cats are carnivores. They would die on an all plant based diet, just like we would die on an all animal based diet. So the question is do you just eat herbivores or do you also eat carnivores?

Got the smoker cranked up tonight and made some appetizers.

Bacon wrapped around a piece of smoked sausage and cream cheese, cheese, spices and diced jalapeno's. Yummy to the power of ten.

With it being so warm this weekend, I might start working on wiring in the lights for under the canopy tomorrow. Take advantage of the warmth while it is here.

I think I was scanned today at Costco in Austin and tonight someone is trying to use my Credit card # in Austin, but my CC company detected fraud because of the chip and declined the purchases. Time to get a RFID shielding wallet. Does anyone else use a shielding wallet?

Should be some oil flicking off the end of the bar when you rev the engine, Don, but not a steady stream. Maybe if you took the bar and clutch off and cleaned them both on a good solvent, you'd be able to spot the problem.

Could it also be that the fins on the inside of the chain (sorry, I'm not enough of a lumberjack to know the correct name for them) be bottoming out in the groove of the bar because the bar is worn too much? That could cause some big time friction, maybe enough to smoke the chain...
