Irv, I looked at the humidity reading in my bedroom and it had dropped to 10, and boy was my nose dried out.
Humidifier now running in there. Don't know if that would help you.

Good morning all, 5 this morning going to 35, glad no snow forecast for a while. Got the miter box and shooting board made yesterday, need to spend some more time sharpening today, we will see. I am ready for Buppies to start talking about warmer than normal temp's for a change. Got some yard work I want to do.

Drew, keep your head down, snow in areas that don't get much brings out the "best" drivers. Praying things go well for you.

Good morning.

Temp 14 a predicted high of 19 with snow. Wind SE 7 mph.

We got 3" overnight (1" was predicted). It is still snowing and another 2 inches or so to come today. More tonight, another couple inches. After tonight the temps will put us back into the deep freeze until Saturday when it will warm up and start snowing again.

After I get back from town I will definitely be plowing.

Had a bad night sleeping, I have a sinus infection, I think. Gonna see if I can get into the doc today, or go to a clinic.

My doctor yesterday gave me 1 cipro antibiotic before my procedure. This stuff tore me up a month ago when i was on it for a week. Last night i got sick in the stomach, etc.. Stomach hurt. A couple weeks ago just 1 didn't bother me.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 0ｰ with some clouds this morning. Heading to 18ｰ with some light snow in afternoon. Taking wife out shopping to stock up on whatever she has on her list. Furnace intake pipe finally thawed out yesterday. But going to wait until Sunday or later to put furnace back together. Going to be single digits for highs starting tomorrow.
Don, I will trade locations with you for a week or 2.
Eric, Lathe projects where hitch pins that I cut down from 1/2" to 12 mm. Set of 4 for legs of chipper. Made a couple pins to lock chipper down on dolly. Put a nice pilot chamfer on ends of pins. I need to come up nice project. I should have taken some picture of the speed reducer on drill press. But my stuff looks nothing like RNG's.
ED, glad you are getting out in shop. Gives the mind a break from everyday problems.

What is a shooting board?

Back when dad was young, a relative down on the crick, made homemade fiddles. Dad has one of them. Very rough looking in finish, but i bought a bow and have sawed on it a little.

Irv, like Drew i find that humidity is very important in controlling my Sinuses. Last year I purchased a SinusPluse. Helps a lot. Just need to use only distilled water. It really helps with pollen attacks in the spring.
I know how you must feel. Flush it out.

The weather man round here is being kind today. He up'd the forecast high for tomorrow and Friday. We have a high now at -2 and lows around -14!!! Much better than the high of -5 they were saying a day ago. Must still be in the christmas spirit.

Northern Michigan. Other than Maine or Alaska that has to be the coldest place in the States....brrrrrr.

been running the heater in the bathroom for half an hour to warm up the tiles, my it was chilly in there this morning.
Now I can sit down in the shower and not freeze my butt on the tiles. Not a good feeling at all with no clothes on...

I temp gunned the seedling tray with the warmer underneath, a nice 76 degrees. If the power stays on, those will be some happy onions.

Randy, never heard of anyone eating Robin, you must have been hungry - before and after

I read, many years ago, that Robins were the first bird protected by law in this country because they were so easy to kill, and the pioneers moving west were killing so many of them for food, that it was feared they might become extinct. I can't vouch for the authenticity of that.

14 degrees for a low, 15 now, and going for a high of 43. I'm sure ready for some warmer weather.

21 degrees here, forecast for 48 degrees this afternoon. This has been our coldest morning as well. Long term forecast is for low 70’s this Sunday.

Just dropped to 16˚ and two local fire departments are at a barn fire. I hope they can put it out without calling us to help.
