51F and cloudy @ 11:30, rain has moved off to the east.
Forgot to flip up the seat on the tractor yesterday after I finished (vinyl is cracked) ... so I'll have to be putting towel down today for any seat time.
Temp should start dropping any time now, so I'm going to be hustling for the next couple of hours to get the rest of the stuff put away in the barn.
He had the rake all done before I had even finished my coffee this morning. Says it works great ... and he should have done it a long time ago. It angles about 45 degrees with no interference on the cylinder ... so a lucky guess on my part as to the cylinder mounting. I do need to run over and drop him off a restriction orifice to slow it down some.
Anybody know which side of the cylinder - rod or base end - that the restriction orifice should go on ?
Seems I recall there being a potential issue/problem if was placed on one side versus the other ...

Horrible news out of Ventura and the Thomas fire. 31,000 acres burned last night, and fire is entering eastern Ventura city. Santa Anna winds...
Made it to Santa Cruze with no problems yesterday, but a bit of trouble finding the shop as they had no sign on the store front. Tiny place with lots of depth in back, funky, cluttered, looks like a fun place to work. Awning was stored across town, so after paying it was another treasure hunt to find that. After the pickup, headed north on Highway 1 along the coast, the inland to Palo Alto. Beautiful sunny day, sun low in the sky, beautiful!
Dined at a really nice Italian restaurant, had a delicious smoked chicken/pesto sauce dish. Best meal I’ve had in a LONG time!

Dentist appointment came out ok, then Menards for some lumber to finish off the deck job, then lunch at Panera’s, then back home, my sister came to visit, and now cruising tbn. Life is good, going out to check on the chickens, and dinner is soon.

Got MMM, dump cart, and auger bit rack put into the barn, a pallet of wood. Also snatched the chipper out of the shop and stuck it down there as well.
Still to go: backhoe, post hole digger, landscape rake, shrub bucket, grapple, rototiller, boom pole, and TracVac.
Might pull the wood splitter out to make some room, it's probably going to get used at some point in the not too distant future and just tarp it.

How many bruises did she lay on ??? I go to bed at 9pm, up at 5 to 6 am. Wifey goes to bed at midnight and gets up by 9... I'm always tiptoeing around the house...

Good evening all. 43F this morning, overcast, moderate wind. No rain in the rain gauge from last night, still less than 1/2 inch rainfall since Sept 1. "high" temp of 48F, forecast winds did not appear, and overcast all day. This morning started with cleaning lady prep, followed by working hooking up dvd/vcr machine, cd player and stereo receiver. Also got the Amazon prime app working. Christmas decorations and leaf eradication still on the list.

Temp got cooler overnight, 26 F with a forecast high of 28. Wind 24 gusting to 32 mph. There is a snow squall watch in effect for this area. Now there is my excuse to do nothing today. I am watching a snow squall. lol We got about an inch overnight. Not worth the fuel I will wast starting the tractor.
Yesterday morning we lost the electricity for a few hours, seems there was a live wire down about 5 miles west of me. That was causing the lights to brown out and flicker. I put up with about 5 minutes of that crap and shut the juice off at eh main breaker and called hydro. It was sorted out by 11 A.M.
What caused the lights to go out? Well let me tell you a short story; A few years ago it rained hard, the rain pounded down for about 3-4 hours....The lights stayed on all through that rain storm. The rain stopped, the sun came out and the lights went out. So in conclusion I have to say that around here the hydro is THE most unreliable utility I have ever run across.
So what made the lights go out yesterday? Who knows, the powers that be 'claim' the live wire story.
That is it for today, have a good day all. I'm gonna go watch snow squalls.

51 outside this AM. System moving through. Light showers. Took a couple of day jobs so I am off to the city this AM. Then need to move some more stuff around and winterize my lawn equipment. Grass around the farm house looks like it could use one more cut. Have a great day all. Be safe.

Cut firewood and stacked on pallets for about 4 hours yesterday to beat the rain, which turned out to be just a small shower. Still have about 60% of my small log stack left to cut.
Wife is coming home today. Coco is excited. Me, too.

Good morning all, 44 this morning headed way up to 46 and partly sunny. 20% chance of snow fri-fri night, wife will be happy about that. Boy got a hair cut and a tub bath yesterday and then I took a nap, correction, long nap. Feel awake this morning for the first time in a while. . Don't know what I will do today but time will tell.
