Good morning! 69˚ cloudy heading to 84˚. With a few showers yesterday the tractor work was put off again.

Tomorrow my Mom makes her last Turkey - or so she says. Today I start by making some of the sides and use my new stand mixer to make the dough for the dinner rolls and the cinnamon rolls. The appetizer kale chips are made and the corn chips are in the dehydrator now. Later we will make the chocolate pumpkin pie, cranberry relish, stuffing, gravy, etc. . .

Rlgustafson keep us informed of how you end of attaching the boards on your trailer. I also need to re-bed my 20 year old 5X10 trailer.

The boy had bronchitis and the Doc said it could have manifested to pneumonia if not treated. Antibiotics and a breathing treatment. He was getting stir crazy so I sent him to school after being out 2 days. His fever is gone. Thanks for the well wishes.

I have an old Deere CS40 chainsaw that wouldn't oil the chain. I tore into it and did some google research and just found that the pump was fouled up with wood grit. I also learned to try and keep the grit out of the bar oil tank when filling it. It has a small orifice breather hole, maybe .020" and after cleaning everything, the thing runs like new with plenty of oil going on the bar and chain.

It is 69F going to 83F today. Really damp and cloudy.

Rick, consider square drive screws. Our Canadian neighbors call them Robertson drive screws. Other than time consuming. I would pre-drill and tap all the holes. Then put anti-seize on all the screws when installed. You will need good quality galvanized screws for treated wood.

I installed "tilt in" anderson windows on all the upper windows to make them easy to clean from the inside. Just had to teach the wife how to tilt them in.

32°F and some freezing light fog this morning, going up to 57° today.

I've been muttering to myself this week about gasoline here jumping recently to $2.50/gallon. After reading some of the other posts and doing a little math, my £0.50/liter doesn't seem quite so bad after all. Perspectives.

Out of curiosity, though, our prices here in the US seem to fluctuate wildly over the past few years. Our prices jumped almost $0.40/gal about a week ago, in one day. Do you guys in England or Australia or Canada see the same wild jumps?

I think I've read threads on "best" garden hoses, but does anyone have a favorite?

I don't have a favorite, but can tell you that the NeverKink brand should have been named NeverBuy. Of all the hoses I've had, the one NeverKink always seems to do exactly that, and kinks if you just look at it crooked.

Thanks Kyle. Pre-drilling and crawling around under trailer, is the step I壇 like to avoid. McCoys has some ceramic coated self drilling trailer deck screws but ...they are Phillips head screws. I consider them fair to install, terrible to remove in 10 years. I know there has to be similar coated screws with Torx heads?

The original screws, on this trailer were rusted but, a few (maybe 1/2) could be removed with impact driver and Torx bit. Some just broke off. On others the head was badly rusted and bit just spun.
Will be grinding off the screws I couldn稚 remove or broke, manana.

Instead of grinding off screws can you maneuver to use a sawzall and just cut them off between the board and the frame? That's how I redid my deck that had annular ring nails. Got one board off, reached through with the Milwaukee Sawzall, slipped the blade between the joist and the deck, cut away. Seemed a lot faster than grinding heads.
And similar with putting bolts in, get all but the last board done by working above.
