Good morning!!!!

40 here heading to low 50's. Spent 5 hours yesterday enjoying the foliage again. Still a few trees with leaves on so will have to do again. Going to take it easy today.

Good morning. I'm sat watching rain run down the window and the sky get darker. Had expected to finish off the muck pile onto a second field today, now not so sure.

Buckeye, I think Rick & Drew are right about the tree pruning of the first tree, however, the little boy inside my head can't help but see a potential catapult tree. A strip of inner tube to tied to each trunk and see how far a double handed pull can launch acorns. :) Also made me wonder if it is flexible enough for a game of twister ? Put a stick in horizontal between each trunk, but not too far, twist it around and let go. Best played with two people, winner can either be the one who launches the stick the furthest, or the one who goes home with fewest grazes and bruises :ashamed:

An extra early morning to you all, clocks go back this morning. I wonder if they bother with this around the world?

Eric, great idea for acorn launcher. Isn't that what they call an oak tree? With all the talk about replacing expensive plate glass recently, perhaps make sure you are aiming it out in the fields, and for sure don't hit the sheep!

I think the father/son President Bush book due out soon should be a must for Christmas.

Combines finishing up soybeans now, big rigs in the fields all over, I guess the cotton comes next. They always seem to wait too long to pick the cotton here and it gets messed up by heavy rains. Rain which btw seems to finally be in the forecast in the coming week. We have been way too dry, and I am sick of dragging water hoses to daily water a lot of new grass seed put down.

Never got to supermarket yesterday, on tap for this morning. Then I start disassembling the three point hitch on the little Massey and try to free up the sway adjusters, both of which were frozen solid. Most disappointing to get out into the field yesterday, ready to practice with the cultivator and the stupid hitch was never freed up like I asked the dealer. Can't have the cultivator wagging back and forth chewing up the collards... I bet those adjusters were never touched in 20 years. They looked unused, just perfect. But frozen solid as could be. At least TSC has a complete set of new sway adjusters for about 90 bucks. The prior owner did nothing but mow with a rear mower for twenty years and likely never did anything with his three point hitch. So this will be a good test of PB Blaster and a big hammer.

Let's all say a prayer for Randy's Lynn this morning as he goes to her service. Toppop will do ok.

50 going to 70 with drizzle this morning after a night of light rain. Rain came in too early yesterday for me to get planned chores done after hunting and taking wife to town...at least I got my priorities right.

I think the autumn colors here may have been at peak yesterday...just beautiful.

Coco seemed to take an interest in some noise outside last night, and made sure we knew about it several times.

Randy, you'll be on my mind today.

Praying for you today Randy.

Good morning all, 47 going to 63 and mostly cloudy. Will likely just take it easy today, been achy and stomach not just right for most of two days. Not bad but will likely just take it easy. Had a huge shopping list yesterday, wife wanted things to put in the new pantry. Had to bring it in during the hardest rain we had yesterday and decided it was time to get the car in the garage, but not today. Will take some figuring where to put things that ended up there during the move.

Eric, You think to small. :D I have some cousins that used a bicycle tube and would launch a half a brick a good ways. Wonder what that would do to a wall if you missed the window.

Drew. Hope all goes well with your sway chains.

Have a great day. Ed

Poured second cup of coffee. 50° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 60° with rain and thunderstorms moving in late morning. What is left of the leaves has great color. But most of the leaves from them have fallen. Going to youngest Sons place to celebrate his and DIL's birthday. Does not seem right that he is 44. Nothing else planned except some NASCAR when we get back from Son's place.

Randy, Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Don, snake eye's are a good thing. :D
Eric, giant slinging shot.

Good Morning All.

39 right now...high about the mid-50's.

Just as I wrote yesterday, there are things I should be doing outside...but the cold is bad enough I don't want to aggravate it further. I surely don't need bronchitis or worse

No idea about the shot. And, I don't think I have walking pneumonia....yet.
If this thing doesn't ease up by next weekend, I reckon a doctor's visit will be justified...

Yes, they do. My wife and I have both had them. The first one, which apparently you need every 5 years was called PPSV23 (don't ask me what that means:laughing:). We got that one in 2008, 2013, and this year. The other, newer one, was called Prevnar 13 and we both got that one in February of this year.

71 degrees early this morning, going for a high of 91. I'm ready for the cooler weather to arrive and stay.

I like the slingshot idea. With all the oak trees uphill beside it, i could fasten up some tarps to catch the acorns, and let them roll down, like an autofeeder.

Prayers for Randy and family. Found the obit online, left a TBN condolences.

50° and light rain as I sit on the front porch waiting to leave for church worship.

The low this morning was 29*, yesterday's high was 51*. We got about 3 inch of snow overnight. Snow showers off and on tell this afternoon then partly cloudy. The high is going be in the mid 40's with some wind.

Toppop.. My thoughts are with you and your family today.

I'll see what it's like this afternoon, if it clear's up I might going out hunting

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Well, finally bought that speed queen washing machine.

At least i paid them, they don't actually stock any in the store, will get it in next week, and i pick it up next weekend. They wanted $50 to deliver.

Was sunny most of the day, but rain came in tonight.

Spent way too long trying to get an older IP security camera to work on my new dvr. Newer cams working great, just the old one.

Whats the easiest way to remove glued down linoleum from a concrete floor? Going to start to tear out basement bathroom. Bought a tile chisel for my sds max.

Extra prayers for Randy tomorrow.

Saw this thread about removing tile and thought of your query. Several good ideas.

Removing floor tiles is HARD WORK!
