Managed to get the Simplicity running again yesterday. Has a periodic problem where starter drive does not want to kick out and engage the flywheel. Shot some PB Blaster on the shaft and let it sit a couple of days and that freed it up. Good to have that back in the fleet.

That's easy RS, you just have to mow your lawn more often than once every six months and the supply of PB Blaster will be safe. :dance1:

wow, how did I miss these guys. What an amazing collection of talent
Particularly liked them recording in the kitchen playing drum sticks on the SubZero outside and inside shelves.
this is long, 24 minutes, but I couldn't turn it off. Cranked up the speakers and really enjoyed the music.
Music you can, mostly, understand the words to. Dylan and Roy Orbison together. Amazing.

Just back from town after running out of chainsaw oil. Fortunately it has all been used on wood and not wasted lubricating my clothing this year

While there I enquired about pure Argon shielding gas as I have bought a new welding machine that does both stick and HF start Tig. They stock it, but not in an ideal cylinder size. I'm sure I will get through plenty of gas while trying to learn TIG, so think I will take my time and look at a few more places before making a decision as it's expensive to swap suppliers later.

You're starting to get serious about that welding. Have fun. Remember, cleanliness is next to Godliness when it comes to Tig welding.

Winds are howling outside this morning; lots of crashing and banging going on with stuff on the back porch. Red Flag fire warnings up until this evening.

First Vegas, now Tom Petty. Another Wilbury crosses over. When it rains, it pours...:frown:

Got the right side pushrod tube seals replaced yesterday, and the left side apart and cleaned. Found a through hole in one head for the valve cover stud cracked. Smoothed it up and applied epoxy to seal it, hopefully it won't require a weld repair to stop the leak.

Love me some Wilburys. I can't find it, but there was a skit on SNL that all the actors did slurry speech versions of them. It was hilarious with Dylan's fill in talking with Petty's fill in.

Went to watch my oldest daughter's volleyball game yesterday. They were out matched. The other team's school has a long history of championship volleyball.

I left my vuvuzela at home.

I just got back from Florida. It was hotter in Michigan than Florida. We had a real nice trip, went all over Fla and Georgia. I had the trip planned, then the hurricane came in, but we missed any problems. My folks are ok, they didn't have power for a couple of days, but no real damage.

Don, sorry about your dad. Sounds like a great guy.
