Good evening all. 64F this morning, overcast with spotty light showers in the area, calm wind. Got a trace of rain, moderate wind , and a high temp of 85F. Yesterday's ride was 79.7 miles, with excellent weather, and only one flat between the three of us. Today, not much going on beside Chapel and football.

43 and starry going to 74 and sunny.

Wow, RNG, thanks for such a detailed and informed instruction on using craigslist. Sounds like this will greatly reduce wasted time and scams. Printed and will come in handy.

Buppies, the Highlander has grown large enough that it now has a 3rd row seat for 3 (but they better be small people) ...with it folded down there is quite a lot of space behind the seats, and folding down the 2nd row seats provides enough room for me to lie down completely straight.

Finished my firewood log cutting and grappling back to the house...looks like just shy of 2 cords. I've never really measured how much we burn each year, and of course it varies based on the weather. I now have about 4 cords, probably the most I've had stored at one time.

Coffee is done brewing. 40° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 75° with mostly sunny skies. Yesterday was a perfect fall day. Should be another one today. Completed all my projects and a few that were not on the list. Need to repair a couple of windows in animal barn today. Using Lexan instead of glass. Because I have some left over from work. The stuff last forever. But does scratch.
Don, prayers for you and your family.
Good Morning All.

I've bought and sold items through CL for several years...so far, pretty good luck and I've never been ripped off (yet).
I do tend to carry a firearm (concealed) if I'm carrying cash...never a problem, but best to be prepared.
I've always carried cash...split up between my pockets. The reason for this is I put the money I think I'd offer in one pocket, the remainder (for the seller's asking price) in another pocket.

Definitely determine what the item is worth...I've seen more then one "value" implement on CL for the same price (or more) that it could be bought retail.

Just back from town after running out of chainsaw oil. Fortunately it has all been used on wood and not wasted lubricating my clothing this year :)

While there I enquired about pure Argon shielding gas as I have bought a new welding machine that does both stick and HF start Tig. They stock it, but not in an ideal cylinder size. I'm sure I will get through plenty of gas while trying to learn TIG, so think I will take my time and look at a few more places before making a decision as it's expensive to swap suppliers later.

Good morning! Thanks guys. Everyone is coping well. The church was full and he is buried in the same in the same church cemetery, walking distance from the church, as his father, grandfather and great grand father. Mom did really well.

I heard the fish fry had a record year. We usually sell 1200 plates, this year 1450 sold and they would have sold more but ran out of the 1050 pounds of fish. (A good reason to change the date to late September instead of late August.) My cousins came though and took up the slack for my absence.
Yesterday evening I helped take down the picnic grounds by stacking 42 picnic tables 3 high under the shed with my tractor forks. The cows can have the field back now.

I think I have the same kind of welder, a combo unit, has all the TIG accessories including foot pedal but no gas. I needed to learn stick first...
but all the guys on the welder forum seem to think TIG or MIG is better. And neater. My current welding technique could be titled Slagomatic so I'm ready to learn
something easier. Am very interested in your progress here, hope you will share.

this thing in Las Vegas is horrible, largest mass shooting in our history. Prayers and solace to the families.
Just leaves me kind of empty reading this stuff.

Don, I'm glad your Mom is doing ok, glad the fish fry went well, hoping that a lot more gladness comes into your life.
And less burden, you've been through the wringer. Every day we have is a gift, be well and happy.
For many of us (but not me, my parents died long ago) this is the time our parents are passing out of natural old age.
Not easy to watch or go through. So much dementia now due to living longer.
My memories are strong of my Father holding his hand up to give mine a squeeze, the last time
I saw him. He couldn't talk, but he said all he needed to with that squeeze.
I try to remember what he taught me and honor him in that way.

time to go out on the tractor and clear my mind and focus on all that is good.

Buppies, you’ll never regret buying a grapple. There are several very informative threads on grapple selection on TBN. We have two grapples. An 84” dual lid HD Grapple on our 100 HP tractor and a 73” single lid EA grapple on 46 HP tractor. I use big Tractor / grapple to take down large dead oaks and small tractor / grapple for brush and tree limbs.

65 degrees going for 89. I got the backyard mowed before daylight. Love those LED headlights on the EGO mower. Even though it was cool, it was also very humid and no breeze, so I was dripping with sweat by the time I finished even though I wasn't particularly tired; almost no exertion.

The Highlander, like the Chrysler Pacifica my wife drove for years, is really more van like than SUV. A lady brought me two full size chairs in a Highlander.
40’s going to mid 70’s today.
Don, God bless you all.

I’ve used Craigslist for years, the single biggest asset is common sense.
