Yeah, they're fast, but the drives I have now run pretty good...don't see a reason to replace them yet. That, plus I haven't seen any SSD drives 1 Terabyte or greater yet. Can't say I've looked for one though.

Most peeps will put a 250 or 500 gig as primary harddrive and put the terrabyte regular drives as extra drives for data.

Happy Belated Birthday Ed. You are about 9-10 months older than me. I like cake too!

62 this morning and headed to 87 today. Currently 82.

Can beans and turn heaters on in chicken coops. Half of birds will be here Tuesday. So litter temperature has to be a comfy 92*. Have to go pull mom's mower out at some point today. That's how she ended up helping with beans yesterday. She called wanting me to come pull her mower out. She never has liked the z-turn and never mowed much with it before this summer now she has to keep up the mowing. She's found a house in town that she's in the process of trying to buy. Lot is much flatter than the farm yard and about 1/3 the size.

She's talking about getting a push mower to mow with. I suggested the cordless electric weedeater and she liked that idea. Now I'm wondering about a cordless push mower. How much will it mow? I suggested a self propelled mower any ways. She's had both hips replaced already and is only 55. (Birth defect).

Thanks guys. Now if I can only get her to spend that on one. She likes to buy cheap and often. I like to buy once a lifetime.

70°F and .2 inches rain. Sure needed it, way behind for the year.

Plan to watch some football today and make a chicken and shrimp alfredo in the crockpot.

Be safe
Have a great day

How much will it mow depends on how fast you can walk in 30 minutes.

EGO does make a self propelled cordless mower. I have the non-self propelled because it pushes so easy. Think of pushing a Tonka toy truck on the floor. I use it where I can't have a lot of dust - like around the pool and other parts of the yard that are too small for the Z. One good think about getting the mower is that with it you get the FAST charger which charges the larger battery in 15 minutes. You can mow for 30 minutes, take a 15 minute hydration break/charger break and then the battery is ready to go again. On the weedeater the battery last about 40 minutes. On the EGO products that are handheld AMP Hour is usually 2.5 and for the mower 5.0 and up to 7.5 Sometimes the AmpHours are more but the batteries cost more also. You also can inter-change the smaller and larger amp hour batteries for continuous use on the mower. The mower height is very easy to adjust all the wheels with one lever.
It can be stored on end also taking little garage floor space. (no I am not a salesman for EGO I just love their products)

20" Push with 5.0 amp hour battery (This is the one I have and it mows for 30 minutes)
EGO 2 in. 56 Volt Lithium ion Cordless Push Mower with 5.Ah Battery and Charger Included-LM22-P - The Home Depot

21" Self Propelled with 7.5 amp hour battery
EGO 21 in. 56-Volt Lithium-ion Cordless Battery Self Propelled Mower with 7.5Ah Battery and Charger Included-LM212SP - The Home Depot

The warranty is 5 years on the machines and 3 years on the batteries and chargers.

Easy. Open photo app. Find the photo and open it. A few things to select will appear. They are at the bottom of the screen on my iPhone. Select the one with 3 lines with dots in them. Up will pop some more options. Select the one that shows ccw arrows and crops. Up will pop more options. Select the one showing ccw arrow. Each tap will rotate photo 90°. When you get photo in correct rotation tap done. You need to do this before trying to post photo to TBN.
.

Got it now, Thanks Ron!

I've got a one terabyte primary and a 1.5 terabyte secondary. I'm using a one terabyte external HD (USB type) to move files from my old PC's primary drive...once I do that, I'll format the old primary drive for more storage space.
The main thing is, IMHO, properly partitioning the drives for greatest efficiency.

I have the 21" self-propelled Ego with the 7.5 amp hour battery that txdon mentioned. It's great for my yard, since I mow regularly. And it can mow fairly tall stuff, too, but if it's tall AND thick, and you're trying to cut it real short . . . well, the battery can run down pretty quickly and/or the mower will shut down from overheating. Of course, you wait a couple of minutes and it'll go again. I just finished working on a neighbor's yard, and it's a mess.

The mower comes with the bagger and the chute plug to make it a mulching mower. If you want the side discharge chute, you can request it from the company and they'll send you one at no charge. I've got it, and it's worth just about as much as I paid for it. It just constantly clogs up and you have to keep stopping to unplug it. It's much easier and faster to bag the clippings and just dump them.

Under normal conditions, I can mow all of our yard, the neighbor's front yard and three-fourths of his back yard before I have to change the 7.5 battery for one of my 2.5 batteries to finish the job. But IF it's heavier mowing, the battery will run down quicker. All I was mowing this afternoon was the neighbor's back yard and I didn't even finish that before that 7.5 battery ran down.

Incidentally, the self-propelled feature is controlled with a separate lever on the handle. You can push it and mow without using the self-propulsion. You can also use the self-propulsion without engaging the blade.

Up way too early!

63 right now...high about 80 today.
Looks like our Indian Summer will be sticking around for at least another week.

Pretty good weekend...new PC is pretty much squared away. My posts over the weekend go into more detail. Also got the mowing mostly done yesterday. I'll hit the back yard this afternoon...

Good morning all. Neither me nor the dog wanted to stand still for too long outside this morning, not while the dew is doing it's magic act of turning invisible air into water, it's condensing out everywhere.

Sometimes I still get a little lost in deciding how cold or hot everyone is on the other side of the pond. It was all Fahrenheit until I got to my teens, then along came Centigrade, which somehow over the years morphed into Celsius, so when I read posts it often helps me if I do an F to C conversion. I thought Ed was a little on the cool side at only 14.45 C and only today did I realise the number I had mistakenly read as a temperature was actually how many trips round the sun he has taken ! :ashamed: A very belated happy birthday ED !

Wife got me some sheep leather to make a wallet from. Have to learn some more about leather work before I try that one.
Have fun with your leather work - sheep often stitch me up and lighten my wallet :)

68 going to 81 with some clouds...no rain expected from Jose according to NOAA, but local weather lady says maybe from outer bands.

We've been feeding a pair of yellow and black garden spiders the last month...catching grasshoppers and horseflies and placing them gently into the web...great fun watching how fast the spider runs to the prey and how fast it wraps it up in web. They have each grown to huge size, and now created their big egg sacks. One is attached to the screen on one of the back sliding doors, so been easy to watch. My son says how strange to see his parents feeding pet spiders.

Someone is going to have to teach me how to turn a pic 180˚ on an iPhone.

After debating back and forth I decided to go with the ancel BA101 battery tester. Got it today and did a test run on my Subaru
It failed the test. I thought I got a bad tester because I have no problems starting the car. I then went to check my truck and tractor battery and they passed. I realized the battery on the Subaru is 5 years old. Looks like it save me from being stranded, already paid for itself and I haven't even tested Dad's tractor battery - the only reason I bought it.

As you can tell the charge is OK but it failed the both load tests - the sitting in vehicle, and the cranking test. It did pass the charging test so the alternate and regulator are ok.

Ron, sorry to hear about your RV friend, and I pray hospice will keep him comfortable his last days.

Don, where did you buy your Ancel? I've found them on Amazon for $54.99 with prime shipping and a EBay for $42.30 and free shipping from Los Angeles area.

Are you getting all the Love Bugs in your area Don? They showed up here last Tuesday. Mowing on Zero turn yesterday was not fun at times.
