Prayers for your friend, Ron

Interesting stuff, Don. I just might have to look at getting one.

   / Good morning!!!! #62,423
What sort of working time do you get per battery charge with the EGO trimmer?

   / Good morning!!!! #62,424
Expected it to be dry today, then sneaky showers came along and damped those expectations, so it's likely to be a day better suited to playing inside.

Sorry to hear about your friend Ron, it must have been hard for him to make that call to you too, your friendship must mean a lot to him.

Haven't even pulled the PC out of the box (except to check for damage). I'll take your comments under advisement

I must have been mostly asleep when I posted. You need to right click on windows Icon then click on desktop. My Windows 10 computer does not have a touch screen.

good morning all, good evening Eric.

thought it was going to be a dry day but now showers in forecast for this afternoon.
So far weather forecast shows no impact of offshore hurricane on Tuesday. That might change.
And more trains coming into the hurricane station it seems.

Ed many more birthdays to come.

Turns out the special ordered gloss cherry red paint I ordered from Rustoleum to do my Gravely deck is the wrong color. I got cherry red and not gloss cherry, seems to be quite a difference. Way too dark with brown in it instead of orange. Need to double check the paint codes.
It's funny looking out at all my machinery, all those different shades of red and orange. The greens and blues are easy, no blues here, but geez the Kubotas and Kiotis and even the old Gravely reds all have different amounts of orange. I don't have a Kioti but Kubota salesmen said Kubota had sued Kioti multiple times due to paint color, too close to theirs.

I'm either going to buy a couple cases of rattle can Gravely red for over a hundred bucks or I'm going to get paint made, likely PPG, to match the color better. But that latter entails buying spray painting equipment and I'm still shying away from that. Wish I had RNG's experience. I'm pretty good with a rattle can but the paint is the issue, often seems thin.
If it rains this afternoon I may be down in the barn hand sanding all this primered equipment getting it ready for paint. A bit exciting to get this far, after starting seven years ago on this mower.

wild grape vines yielding beautiful fruit right now.
Rear annual flowers at their peak, planted them too close to each other, next year not so many,
but it did add some color to my "machinery" area of the house.

   / Good morning!!!! #62,427
Drinking first cup of coffee. 55° with fog this morning. Heading to 83° with showers in the evening. Trip to son's home to celebrate granddaughter's 13th birthday. They sure grow up fast. Her birth was the first event we attended after I retired.
Thanks all for the comments and wishes for my friend. We meant him and his wife during our travels. They are from MI and return here every year. They stay in my back yard a week or 2 each summer while they visit family. Since they moved to NM we visit them during our travels.
Happy belated Birthday ED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning All.

64 going to 84.

Ed, happy birthday! Sounds like you did a nice thing for your mom on your birthday, and probably made your day even more special.

I spent most of the day in my recliner after going for a walk with Coco...my cold turned out to have a fever packed with it. Feeling better today.

Drew, I've never done spray painting of equipment, so don't know much, only spraying the house with an electric professional Graco, but you have an air compressor, I think...so maybe you could pick up the Harbor Freight spray gun for $27, or their electric one for $20.

Farmer, that's a great bean harvest! Enjoy. I bought an Echo battery string trimmer this summer so I wouldn't have to take the blade off my Stihl every time...I love it, but it is probably too heavy for your mom. The Ego units look good.

Billie shake that cold and feel better. it's that time of year to wash our hands even more, particularly after a trip involving lots of public door knobs and push carts.
I'm not a germ-a-phobe but it's remarkable how much washing your hands can help. I got trained on that thirty years ago by my closest friend who was a health inspector and
wound up head of the Teaneck NJ health dept. Also about how to disinfect your kitchen counter top and not just move the germs around.
I get sick about once every ten years, always from kids. Worth it...

that really is an amazing amount of beans Farmer. I hear the rumble of the Green Giant reefer semi coming in for a load...
my green beans this year were tough. I was hoping to grow several crops, a Fall crop, but somehow they are all tough now.
Old beans?...Even the small ones are tough. Steaming helps but the organic ones in the store are better.
We've had plenty of rain, a puzzle.

   / Good morning!!!! #62,431
Glad your shoulder is better. I paid .64 /lb for organic bananas day before. The regular ones were .48 at HEB.

I thought all bananas were organic, somebody building them now? :D

Zenni glasses?

I don't even know what that is!:confused::eek:

Went to back dr. Said a little bulging, but not bad for my age. Says its inflammation, just needs time. Limited in what he can give me due to being on blood thinner. Stopped one of my pain meds that i shouldn't have been given due to blood thinner. Gotta start prednisone in couple days, need to get off my antibiotic first.

Back is feeling a lot better, as long as i keep up with pain meds.

Just chilling listening to George Strait. now.

I ruptured a disc in 1982 and have been dealing with varying degrees of pain and stiffness since, including sciatica which started about 4 years ago. It comes and goes without rhyme or reason. I hate pain meds, at least the opioids, they make me sick and too out of it, feel like I'm in a fog. I just use prednisone, Tylenol exercise. I think you'll find that time and adjusting to it are going to be your answers.

a lite dusting of snow overnight.

oh my, here we go again.
But if you live in God's Country looking up at Rocky Mountain National Park, what's a little snow?

Geez, are we still allowed to say God's Country? It was of course the ultimate compliment.
Ok, Allah's Country too. And Buddha's. For sure some Reformed Protestants,
I guess let's include some unreformed ones too.
Of course, Unreformed Protestant Country doesn't have quite the same ring...

I'm one of those unreformed Southern Baptist, God's Country is just st fine!:D
Another pretty day with highs in the low 80's.
We were over in Front Royal yesterday for the youngest grandson's birthday party, leaves are changing a bit more than here. Here it's mostly black cherry, red maple and dogwoods so far.

68 right now, and pretty foggy. High, again, in the low 80's.

The new PC is up and running. Pretty nice! Windows 10 is OK...a few too many bells and whistles for my taste, but that's what sells. I have one more hard drive to install, but since it was the master drive in the old PC, I'll want to format it first to get rid of the old XP OS. That should give me a total of 3.5 Tb is storage.

Chores today...get gas and diesel, mow the lawn this afternoon.

Wngsprd, glad you feel better, been a lot of people sick early this year. I need a new trimmer, my old Black and Decker 20v burned in the building fire. I don't trim much, 10-15 minutes every couple of weeks, not sure I can justify the EGO.

   / Good morning!!!! #62,436
62 high of 82 today mostly sunny. Take the day as it goes

Wngsprd rest should help a lot Coco will understand

Good morning all. 61 going to 80 with a 20% chance of showers. Thanks for all of the birthday wishes, I am blessed. Yes it was a good day, got mom's chair and got to pray with the lady I bought it from. Watched the boy eat cake, his diet is very restricted and he does not get things like that very often. Wife got me some sheep leather to make a wallet from. Have to learn some more about leather work before I try that one. Got a milwalkee multi tool wit mony mom gave me. Have no idea what I am going to do today, time will tell.

Don, thanks for the chair tip, Was about to order one for $699.99 from a local store.

Daugen, I got a rattle can of "chrome" paint mixed and put in the rattle can about 10 years ago and they can match paint pretty well. Painted the dress rings on my kid's truck. Hope this helps. At the time it was less than $10 a can.

Have a great, wonderful, day full of smiles and joy. Ed

The low was 28*, yesterday high was 58*. Today is going to be back into the 60's with some wind and partly cloudy.

Happy belated birthday Ed.

Going to help the neighbor again today and try to get some little things done here.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Someone is going to have to teach me how to turn a pic 180˚ on an iPhone.
Easy. Open photo app. Find the photo and open it. A few things to select will appear. They are at the bottom of the screen on my iPhone. Select the one with 3 lines with dots in them. Up will pop some more options. Select the one that shows ccw arrows and crops. Up will pop more options. Select the one showing ccw arrow. Each tap will rotate photo 90°. When you get photo in correct rotation tap done. You need to do this before trying to post photo to TBN.
