Got soil screen frame moved out of the shop and shop cleaned up enough to work on the 'bota.
Reviewed the maintenance schedule and it looks like I only need to change the oil and fuel filters, along with some other minor stuff ... like the valves ...
Still another 100 hours until the hydraulics/HST.
Had the filters for the HST and the fuel filter. Will run by NAPA and pick up oil filters for the
B2910 and the Simplicity ... then onto Wally World to pick up some Mobil 1 0w40.
Also moved the stump bucket up to the shop and stood it on end before I removed the FEL. Will use it as the welding template for the SSQA repair.
Tractor now sitting out back cooling off so I can wash the engine off before I stick it in the shop for the night so it will be cold in the morning to do the valves.
Talked to the service guy @ the dealer about adjusting the valves (was due at 800 hours) and having the injectors pressure checked (was due at 1500 hours) He felt that 2000 hours on the engine without having the valves checked is probably no biggie, as they tend to stay in spec ... which jives with what I've read. Also recommended not having the injectors pressure checked, due to possible unforeseen complications ... like busting an otherwise good injector trying to get it out.
Tractor basically runs good so I'll leave that be.
Just heard a bit of light rain start ... but it has now stopped. Might be my cue to get out there and get the mowing done down here around the house.
