The low this morning was 43* with a 10 mph wind off the mountains makes it kind of cool on the deck this morning. Yesterday high was 86*. Today is going be in the mid 80's and becoming cloudy in the afternoon with a chance of showers. The forecast for first part of the week is for cooler temperatures and better chance of rain.

Not much happening today.

Hope everyone has a nice day

I had to smile at the no politics line. Back in the day Ozarker was a conservative on another more political forum. He was a gun nut ultra conservative I am a two tour Nam vet socialist. We were today before today was kewel. One day in the middle of a left right brawl he mentioned TBN and said I would like it and they would like me.

We had some great times back in the day, and has been mentioned a lot of the guys we had so much fun with have died. I have to believe that part of the reason for the camaraderie was because politics wasn't allowed and we got to enjoy common passions. You just have to go back to the threads we did back then to see it was about friendships and tractoring.

I don't have a tractor, motorhome instead. So instead of talking about tractoring I talk about doing motorhome stuff on another group of forums. But TBN will always hold a special place in my heart.

Get to follow Harvey on that other forum (RV). While it is interesting and friendly it is not like TBN was in the early days. I came from the Original Kubota forum. So much good honest info came from members. I am one of the few people that have met Muhammad and his family. Great visit with them in Tuscan. Then on to meet the TX group at Jim Inman's place.
While I still read many post on TBN. I very seldom post. To many experts? What goes on on Good Morning is more to my liking. Much more like the original TBN.
Forgot to mention that most of us were on Dialup. Smaller post and pictures.

Thank Roy. I spent some tome looking at the Caroni flail mowers but looks like widest is 73" and I never could determine how far they can be offset.

I'm looking at the Land Pride as they have a model FM2584 with 10" offset and CAT 1 / CAT 2 hitch.

FM25 Series Flail Mowers | Land Pride

They also have their Model FM3188 with 8" offset and CAT 1 / CAT 2 hitch.

FM31 Series Flail Mowers | Land Pride

Roy, using the dimension your were kind enough to PM me this morning, the Caroni 73" would extend only about 13" outside my tires.

That's maybe an inch or so farther than my 84" rear finish mower.

71°F and no rain.

Should go into HD and pickup my ceramic tile for my project.

Got an email from a friend inviting us to come get some Macadamia nuts. Will have to see how many 5 gallon buckets I have that are suitable and schedule.

Be safe
Have a great day

71.8F and mostly cloudy @ 12:15, high today of 77F ... I'm lovin' it ...

A little slow/late getting moving today, stayed up kinda late last night.

Managed to uncover around 70' or 80' of that surface drain line on the north and east sides of the polebarn yesterday.

Most amazing thing about it was I managed to not break the pipe anywhere - it's a very light PVC drain pipe, not even Schedule 40. The pipe was buried anywhere from 4" to 8" deep.

I used the shrub/stump bucket to skim off most of the dirt on top and then cleaned it up with a square-nose shovel and a hoe. Might do a little more on the sides of the pipe with a pick to ensure it pops loose easily.

Might do another 10' on either end, just to make sure it has good slope out of that northeast corner.

Thought about taking some sand and washing it in with water to get it under the pipe, since sand tends to self-compact. Will definitely make sure it has more than enough slope to account for settling this time around.

Bonfire tonight at nephew's cancelled, as his wife's father passed on last night ... :(

I have a couple of places where we have found nests too big for my usual knock-them-down-with-a-stick approach. One is inside the older gas grill...same one where the wrens fledged a nest earlier this summer.

Why not just light the gas grill? :fiery::laughing:

If you don't have enough buckets, around here we have a sandwich chain called Togos. Most of their toppings come in 5 gallon plastic buckets, and they'll either give them away or charge something like a buck a piece. Similar restaurants probably have similar problems getting rid of all those buckets...

Good Morning!!!! 77F @ 10:15AM. A mix of clouds and sun. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High near 95F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Getting a bit of a late start myself, or at least late posting to TBN & GM. Heard a loud pop late yesterday afternoon coming from the back porch, and went out to find the top of the pressure regulator for the bead blaster missing. I found it a few feet away, and the plastic had cracked right at the top where the adjustment screw goes through. Found some PVC glue and put it back together, hoping it would be working for today. But when I went to bleed pressure into this morning it the screw just turned without anything happening. Right about then I saw the dimpled plate that should have been installed over the spring inside the regulator. Ugh. With nothing to lose, I grabbed the top of the regulator above the glue joint and it came off in my hand. Turns out I didn't use the right glue. So I dug up a can of ABS cement, installed the dimpled plate, and glued the top back on again. The side of the can said it'd take 2 hours to reach full strength, so I'll get some sanding done and shoot a coat of primer until then.

Enjoyed the cool morning hours yesterday, finishing up the black on a dozen or so parts, and taking off the lumpy black finish on the handlebar levers. Once the paint was off, I replaced the ground glass blast media with a medium glass ball and refined the finish. Then I remembered I had some micro sized glass beads and tried those. An even nicer finish, so hopefully the paint will flow out and not lump up as bad the next time. Which will probably be tomorrow.

Nice siesta yesterday afternoon, followed by a little Bourbon on the back porch while a porkchop sizzled on the BBQ. These clouds are doing a pretty nice job of keeping the temperatures in the mid to low 90s, a real relief after the past few weeks of 100F+.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

75° right now. Woken this morning by a crash. Thought something fell in the house, looked all over, couldnt find anything. Getting out of the shower, i heard sirens, they stopped almost in front of the house. Got dressed and went outside, had a nice collecton of stopped vehicles. Turns out a car had taken out a telephone pole across the road, went off the road, up a bank and was up in the neighbors yard, behind some trees so i couldnt see it. They took a lady out on a stretcher, but looked to be ok. Got a new pole installed already, but electric must be out to the house, power company just arrived.
