Are you still happy with your flail mower Roy?

I'm going to visit local Land Pride Dealer next week.

Yes I am...does a great job on the field grass and pretty good on that bamboo I'd written about.
About the only thing I don't like about it is it's not really QH compatible. It'll fit a QH, but as the 3PH bleeds down (over a couple days), the QH frame contacts the PTO drive shaft. But that might just be in my circumstances...
I expect you won't have that problem with a Land Pride though...but I also expect you'll pay more money (I'm figuring a grand or more) for the Land Pride). Now, I mow 3-4 acres once every week or two. A Land Pride may well be the better choice if you mow a lot.

Thank Roy. I spent some tome looking at the Caroni flail mowers but looks like widest is 73" and I never could determine how far they can be offset.

I'm looking at the Land Pride as they have a model FM2584 with 10" offset and CAT 1 / CAT 2 hitch.

Don, sad thing when your parent need to give up what they have done for years. The big thing with my mother was giving up driving at 91. Good luck with the round up.

Got the fallen tree cleaned up. Still need to run branches through chipper.

That's set at full offset. Even the other position is offset to the right...about 7"-8" less then what you see in the picture. If you look close, the bracket for the other mounting position can be seen. It's almost in line with the inside of the right rear tire.

Regular mowing pretty well caught up for a few days, then start again.

Got a full week coming up getting Kekoa ready for his CGC test next Saturday. Went over the test today and I think he's pretty good except the STAY portion. His teacher gave me a couple things to try. Was kinda funny that after her attempts she went back and hunted for the 5 treats he just spit out. Fooled her LOL

Good evening all. Last several days have been the same weather wise. Lows in the upper 70's highs in the mid 90's, partly to mostly cloudy in the morning, clearing in the afternoon. Tomorrow is the last day to be like that with several weather systems to com through here. Will try to get some mowing in before the rain starts. Bike rides yesterday and today, nap both days.
