RNG, batten the hatches. People put masking tape on Windows during hurricanes here. Not sure if it helps or not.

I was giving serious thought to taping the door, especially after I felt all that flexing going on. I lost a similar fixed glass panel in another door a couple years ago, just popped with a bang one night for no apparent reason. It's safety glass, so no sharp shards, and double pane, only one of which let go. Apparently there are two more waves due in over the next few days, so we'll get to ride out a couple more...

My brother lost a big picture window from the wind a few years ago, single pane glass, old aluminum frames, rattling like crazy. One of the kids came in the daylight basement and the wind came in with them, then they got the door shut. The changes from outside pressure to inside pressure back to outside exploded that window all over. No one was hurt, but it was a mess (and the wind was still blowing). Cost them a bundle to get it fixed since the insurance was not current..

We sold the farm about a year ago, but still like my tractor by net groups. Living on 1/2 acre now.

I was doing a lot of huffing and puffing, had two helpers; snow was wet so pretty heavy. Another storm coning in Wednesday late afternoon, supposed to start as snow and then turn to heavy rain. We haven't had this much snow for a few years, what the heck happened to global warming?

Got a line on a local guy with a big snowblower who will do it for reasonable $. We have not had much snow here for at least 5 years so no need to shovel, plow or snowblow in that time. Good chance it will be a few years before we get this much snow again. There is a town called Campbell River about an hour's drive north of us got close to 30 inches or so.

For the past few years we have had long drought like summers. Had fir trees die that were over 100 years old. But boy did we end up milling some gorgeous lumber out of the four trees we took down.
Lots of snow on the hills and mountains, so yes great for this coming summer.
