Good morning!!!!

Good morning. Expected ice and possibly a little snow this morning, instead a wayward rain cloud came along just before daylight and erased all evidence of winter.

I spent several hours yesterday splitting firewood. Much of it was elm and even with the tractor hydraulics doing the hardest work, the twists in the grain made it slow progress. Time did pass quickly though, as I had company.

54 going to 72 today. Weather lady says should hit a record high in the city today. We don't keep records out this way. :)

Eric, I split wood for a few hours yesterday. No sheep around here, but Coco often comes up and asks for a small split to carry off. She'll sometimes build her own pile of scraps while I'm working.

Today is ladies yoga morning at my house so I'll be heading out early to the gym, and probably swing by the Kubota dealership while I'm out. My tractor has never been back to the dealer but I'd like to find out what they'd charge to pick it up and fix the leaking seal on the rear wheel. And very important - how long would they have to keep it. I need it back quickly. Plus, the owners manual called for a valve adjustment/inspection at 800 hours. It has over 950 hours. I've done all the other maintenance.

21F now upper 20's for high.
3-5 inches snow mix w/sleet touch of rain arriving today and over night...could be interesting.

Enjoy the day all.

51 out this AM. Yesterday the wife said we hit 67 degrees. I believe it, I was down to a t-Shirt working on the fence lines. And man, I drank some water. I made the mistake of walking the perimeter twice cutting back bushes and doing general repairs. Should have gotten the utility vehicles or tractor out. Well, it was good exercise.

Have a great day all, be safe!

It's 49 and raining in SLC and surrounding valleys. Snowing fairly hard in the mountains. Supposed to keep going into Wednesday night. Me and a co-worker are planning to going sledding Thursday so I hope it keeps snowing as predicted.
I do feel sorry for my cows, they are wading around in mud and poop a foot deep.

a warm 50 going all the way up to 71 today, Roy and Thomas, wish I could send you some heat to make your drives safer

my helper brought 13 trees and shrubs to me yesterday, unannounced. He buys out the remnants of Lowes for about 2/3 off. So I got 13 shrubs and trees normally 25 to 65 apiece for 20 bucks a piece, and he made a little on that. And they didn't look bad, with proper watering, which Lowes has never understood, hopefully they will do well. 4 hollies and the rest large arborvitae. All for sight barriers.
So...my day sure changed yesterday and dig we did, some together, but about 8 left for me to do today on a gorgeous day to be out. The holes were already dug, from last year, so I just need to clean them out and plant. And water. Then I'm building my water barrel cart. With all this new stuff coming in at once, I need a water truck.

Good morning! Good morning! 67˚ heading to a record 90˚ with a healthy west wind makes this a good day to play firefighter. I hope not, I need to feed cattle. Last time I fed cattle I missed a fire because my tractor was too slow.

Finally got though all the paper work and red tape and computer pages - that really did not work well - and coordinated with two doctors to get my Moms medication ordered. I told her next time she will have to go on a plant based diet, it easier. She agreed - She gave up a month ago or ordering her perceptions.

Wish you were closer Drew, the Electric co-op replaced our tank/pump skid on two of our fire trucks so we have two 300 gallon tanks with pumps that we are selling very cheap just to get them out of the station. they slide into the back of a pickup so a 5'X8' or maybe a 4'x6' trailer would be plenty big. If 300 gallon is too heavy just fill them half full. And they are pretty red. We also have a extra light bar we will through in free!!!! (you will have to make your own wooooo wooooo, - no extra sirens)

We are right at 14 and shooting for a high of 25 with more snow.
It's funny, the weatherman calls for 4-6cm and we get 6 inches. He is forecasting 10-15cm for today and it wouldn't surprise me if we got a foot or so.
The tractor block heater is plugged in and turned on, I made sure of it when I shut down yesterday that it was plugged in.
I will go out about 10 and clean up from yesterday.

2 P.M. and I am finally in for the rest of the day. The roof on the Shelter Logic 'garage-in-a-box' went for a dump today. It is going to get replaced with a SL SUV garage in spring. So I had to make a hole in a snow bank for my M101 trailer.
