Good morning! 57˚ dark. The East perimeter trail is complete. I can't say east fence line because it is only an access to the fence line
not a cleared fence line. Sometimes the trail is 30 feet from the fence line as it winds around large trees. I'll finish spreading the gravel before I start on the North perimeter trail

My Mom gave up on ordering her prescription drugs from her new mail order provider. For some reason they were not able to keep the insurance that they had and it has been a nightmare switching over. This switch over started last August and went into effect this year. I finally got to a place to order the medicine over the internet (She could not do it over the phone and she does not have internet) and it said the cost was over $800 with insurance. After many phone calls and hours on the phone I was able to reduce the bill to $18 and was able to order over the internet. This morning they e-mailed me a tracking number so it finally is working. Next week I'll tackle my Dad's medications, I need break. It would help if each person you talk to knew what they were talking about and had the same instructions and would not ask for the policy number and DOB 6 times in a 20 minute phone call . . .ARGGGGGGG

My Mom kept asking Why they had to change insurances and why they make it so hard to do?????

Ok now I have to put the mouse arrow one inch below what I click instead of on the object to click, has TBN been hacked?

Don, I just added and deleted a post, it worked. computers can just drive you nuts

but perhaps not as nuts as medical bureaucrats...

It seems to be working O.K. for me.

I just tried it after the first line of this post and it's O.K. here.

I got TBN to work by putting curser 3/4" below the spot you want to type or click - crazy.

It might be on my side. Got a e-mail from my provider that there has been hacking attempts and they had to shut down intermittently.

Edit: Got out and got back in - working OK.

Poured first cup of coffee. 50° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 72° with some scattered clouds. Going out to the gun range today. Then back to the patio.
Wanted to use the ° with my iPad. Much easier than PC. All I had to do was hold 0 key down and up pops the °.
Weather back in MI is not good. Grand daughters dog did not want to go out in it. Kept looking out window to check it out.

Don, getting somethings to work right with some insurance companies is a problem. My over 3 hours on the phone trying to get a document from BCBS is very upsetting. All these people do is read from a computer screen.
Good Morning All.

32 this morning and headed to 40 today.

Waiting on doctors office to open. Oldest son has a red eye. Hopefully they can get him in today. Then it'll be more brush pile work and hopefully the gravel shows up and I can start on that.

Don. Thought about you yesterday. Mom calls and is stuck on the parkway. Behind an RV fire. Took 2 departments. Both volunteers. Said they ended up cutting the side wall open. Also had to foam it. Water wasn't working.

Good Morning! 48° @ 6:30AM. Occasional rain. High around 50F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch. Thursday Night rain likely. Low 47F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 100%. 1 to 2 inches of rain expected.

Is it weather-speak when the forecast says "rain likely" and then in the same forecast says "Chance of rain 100%"? Perhaps that's because in weather forecasting there is not much certainty?

The degree symbol has been option-shift-8 for as long as I can remember on Macintosh computers. One of the few things that still works the same after all these years.

If I was givin' away firewood, it would be the new stuff, not the seasoned, ready to burn stuff.

First time I've ever seen Home Depot prices undercutting Amazon, Don. Almost a hundred bux cheaper at HD for that thermal imager.

Radiator fan shroud done, though it involved painting in the dark again...

Off to the mechanic's today to see if it fits, and also work on the poptop tent and latch. I'm told getting the cloth stretched without wrinkles can be something of a wrestling match.:confused2:

23°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 46° today. Rain forecast for the weekend has now been pushed off to Monday/Tuesday. This is a good thing.

The back porch was gone when I got home last night. Moving along.

I also noticed yesterday morning why the neighbor has been leveling a large section of ground in front of his old barn; lumber sticking up now indicates he's building a substantially larger new one for his five horses. He was using a rented or borrowed Bobcat SS to do the ground work. Shortly after we got the new LS last fall, he caught me one day clearing along the fence line and stopped to chat. He wanted to talk about the tractor, and was giving it a good eyeballing. All he has since moving in there is a 4-seat utility vehicle and a zero-turn mower. I won't be at all surprised to see him with a tractor soon as well.

Apparently the cats ate the mole, but I saw the cat's shadow, 6 more weeks of winter!
Not as cold this morning, still mostly gray and dreary, been cloudy for 21 0f 25 days now. Reminds me of Desperado, "The sky won't snaow and the sun won't shine..."

62°F and no rain.

Started disassembly of current solar array yesterday. A bit more challenging than anticipated. Likely gonna take a bit longer than I thought. Goal is to finish disassembly of this section today and start rebuild.

Be safe
Have a great day

You're losin all your highs and lows

Great tune. Cold here, 16F. Been about that all day, we did get some sun, but it seems to cloud over again. I put a new shower rod in the downstairs bath. We rarely use it, but I am remodeling the master bath upstairs, so I need to get this done. I used a hammer drill and a masonary bit to get thru the tile. No parts left over, it works, and nobody got hurt!! :)

Be safe guys!

I find HD a little cheaper than Lowes, but Menards beats them both. Incredible stores, they make the others look like hobby shops.

I guess the existing roof would be a good barrier as long as you don't put any nails in it. Is this the same guy that did not want insulation next to the metal because it causes rust - but the existing roof will not? Will the additional weight of the metal roof cause any sagging problems? does he have any references for putting metal over an existing roof that you can view? I really don't have any answers just questions.

The existing roof won't be touching it, it will be on top of a lattice work of 1x4's Even the valleys will have 1x4's in them.. The weight of a 26 gage R panel roof is so little, it is not a factor.

Here is the order of it from top to bottom:

R panel metal
1x4
synthetic underlayment
old roof
