Very good company.

We have a nice short-hair Mackerel Tabby that might be available ... I just need to check with the neighbors up the street and make sure it isn't theirs.

Very similar coloration and patterning to The Squeak ... just shorter hair ... and very friendly.

It does shed some ... but then it has been outside in the summer heat.

So far it's an outdoor cat ... The Woman won't let it inside because she's convinced that anything that has been outside must have fleas.

I've let it in a couple of times, but so far it hasn't been in long enough for the local pecking order to get re-established.

This one was in such good condition when it showed up on doorstep it must belong to someone.

Deadly ...

True dat ....

Drew may not want sheep. You don't want to tell them anything!!!!!

These decorations adorn maybe a dozen other places, and will just take time to rub out with 500 wet'n'dry sandpaper.

I think it's time for a bite to eat and a nap!:licking::D

I just painted my generator cabinet. I tried to be careful, but I still had a couple of runs. Me being me, there is no way I am going to try to fix the runs. You really can't see it from 20 ft or so! 😎😜

My daughter and son-in-law went to a wedding in Virginia last weekend (they are living in Maryland). I talked briefly to my daughter and she said they were going to skyline drive while they were in the area... do you have any pictures?

Yea I have a few but just not smart enough to figure out how to put them on here. :confused3: It is a very pretty place, go up there about every 2 weeks. Ed

We call those twenty foot paint jobs. Eric will be happy to know that his purchase of 3M stock will continue to bring him great returns.

Good evening all. 57F this morning, clear and calm. Beat the forecast for today forecast was for 76F, made it to 81F but the humidity stayed low!! Had mtg with contractor and settled up, managed not to go much beyond re-roof and siding repair so no unexpected surprises. 15 mile bike went well so should be able to ride more miles more aggressively. Paperwork for truck caused s trip to town so no weed whacking today :( .Have to start organizing trip to pick up truck, I think RNG will like the color as much as I do :).

Got a late start ... started another split pile and got another 20 or so rounds done today before it got dark:

Might get a little done tomorrow, depending on when the rain arrives.

Good morning all, 60 going to 69 with a 50% chance of rain and a flash flood watch through Friday. Not sure what will get done today but we will see.

RS Lot of work shown in that pic, The old folks used to saw you had to be careful about getting saw dust in your shoes, you will never get it out. Or as we would saw today, cutting wood is addictive. I used a set of log tongs to move the big rounds of wood, just hooked it on the loader. Beats man power to get them on the lift.

Have a great day Ed

61 high of 71 with rain coming in this afternoon

Some areas of Virginia could get up to 6 inches of rain from the latest cold front low pressure area

I used a set of log tongs to move the big rounds of wood
hmmm, I have one of those, the type you pull out small trees with, never thought of using it to lift, which I'm sure
the insurance folks say "no lifting". Like they do on a vertical scale, for example weighing your deer, and it says not for vertical work. Huh?
Can't weigh something horizontally...
I'll have to remember that if the grapple doesn't work. Actually I ought to put those tongs in my ballast box along with my chains, remind me to use it instead of threading the chain underneath the log in some wet ditch with snakes in it...

69 going up to 82 today, showers likely, and now the forecast looking forward is wetter, some precip possible each day.
Tile man coming to repair kitchen floor tile grout; some of it came apart over the last two years since install. I don't think he sealed it properly...doubt that using a little Pinesol in the mop solution would hurt grout.

51F now low 60's for high sunny afternoon.
Between deer and turkeys not one acorn on the lawn. :dance1:

Enjoy the day all.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 50° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 64° with rain. Got a lot done yesterday preparing motorhome for winter storage. Still need to change oil in engine and generator. Will not happen in the next few day. Rain is forecast until next Monday.
Drew, fridge will not work unless you have 12 volts on with LP or electric.
RGN, my first car was a 55 Ford Crown Vic. Needed a paint job. So I bought a electric sprayer and paint. The paint did run run. But the 20' rule worked good. :D
RS, nice pile of wood. My back ache's thinking about stacking all that wood.
Mostly, glad you are feeling better.
Good Morning All.

67 and rain going to 75. I think we are in the 4 to 6 inch range.

Got a new shipment of green coffee beans in yesterday including 2 types that I am pretty excited to sample, so will roast a few batches today...and of course throw Frisbee off and on in the rain for Coco.

Billy, you are making me look at the bottom of my empty coffee cup, and salivating over what you are about to drink.

Ron, I thought the Norcold was inop because it made zero sound. None. But the next day, cold as could be. ? Big vents outside, the usual cooling vents for
rv fridges, and no noise out there either. Can these things now be silent? Just hard to believe, but the cold wasn't. A compressor less model? Wish the roof a/c unit was this quiet...as you know.

Thomas you have your critters well trained. Now if I could teach my squirrels to stay out of my bird feeders...

I wonder if the room is still moving for David/Sodamo. Lots of plane and boat trips can do that.
Bet his bed felt good, the dogs happy, and hopefully not too many things broke while he was away.
My stepsister Lisa Leydon lives on one of the islands, forget which, hard to pry her off, loves the place.

50F @ 07:00 ... high today of 66F, 70% chance of rain today according to the 10 day forecast on WeatherBug. Check hourly forecast and it claims a 40% chance around 15:00 - 16:00 ... so might be able to get a little splitting in. But Accuweather shows rain earlier ... before noon.

Last night before I knocked off I spent about a 1/2 hour moving un-split rounds to higher ground that will drain and get some sun when this period of rain finally ends, probably got half of what was left moved. Think moving the rest of the rounds out of the low, shady area probably should be first order of business today.

Overdue for a haircut, so that might get put on the list for today. Need to hit Summers Rubber and grab a 1" hose barb for the splitter, probably swing by and pay the guy that mows the lawn in town while I'm in the area.

Might spend some time cleaning up the shop.

Good morning! 61˚ heading to 85˚ with lots of sunshine. Light NW wind.

I wonder what they base the millage rating on tires with? My 90K Michelin tires on the Subaru need replacing after 30K.

... RS Lot of work shown in that pic ...
That's what my body is telling me ...

Got done last night, came in and flopped on the couch, and immediately started having muscle spasms and cramps in my hands ... :(

The old folks used to saw you had to be careful about getting saw dust in your shoes, you will never get it out.

I have several pairs of old shoes that I've used when chainsawing ... it's next to impossible to get all the saw dust out ... :D

Or as we would saw today, cutting wood is addictive. I used a set of log tongs to move the big rounds of wood, just hooked it on the loader. Beats man power to get them on the lift.
I have a pair of smaller lifting tongs ... might do a 24" round at most.

No real need for them anymore with the grapple ... a set of skidding tongs sure would be real handy tho' ...

Hope those flash floods pass ya by.

58 this morning and headed to 78 today. Chance of rain after lunch.

Today is concrete pouring day. Wouldn't you know it. No rain in forecast all week. I order concrete for Thursday and rain chances show up Thursday and Friday. So I bust my butt yesterday and get ready to pour today and move my delivery date. Rain chances move with it. Well I have some plastic if it comes down to it.

It's just 4 (3.5 actual but was cheaper to buy 4 than pay short haul) yards going into a 10'x12' pad. Who wants to guess thickness?
