Roy, I don't get to know much about snow blowers, other than from tbn, but to me that looks like it will move a lot of snow quickly. If you have to drive in reverse while using it, that must cut down the amount of time you spend getting a stiff neck.

Like they rate engines in horse power, do snow blowers have a shovel power equivalent ? Guess they are machines that need to be used with great care - I see what look like 9 warning stickers in that first picture.

Good morning, Now, how long can you resist the urge to start polishing that paintwork ?

well, let's see, about four hours from now? :D
A wash, blow dry, oiling and a little wax. Just like a trip to the beauty parlor...

Roy, great piece of equipment. That should eat through a lot of snow and drifts too. Now all your neighbors will have your number on speed dial.

hopefully a fun day today planned in moving equipment around, getting the finish mower put on the MF, and giving that a test, and cleaning up my chain saws after some hard use. I also get my truck back today from the body shop and that will be a blessing. Lot of dog ate my homework excuses for running behind, but they do good work.

68 going to 91...last day of 90s for a while, they promise...76 high for tomorrow.

So nice to get up early, go outside for a spell in cool temps and come in to see cool pix...nice tractor, Drew, and super big snow blower, Roy. I hope that dealer pic was taken last winter...looks like no leaves on the trees...hope autumn isn't that far along in your parts.

Two more hours on the mower yesterday, still not finished...and a good bit of raking is waiting for me today.

Good morning all, 64 this morning going to 90 with a 20% chance of thunderstorms tonight. Got the wire shelf systems put up in two closets yesterday, just a few finishing bits left to do on them. Have to run to lowes and pick up a few things. Hope to start cutting drywall for the pantry door today, we will see.

Roy Looks like it should surely scare away snow for a long time. I have often wondered why they don't make a blower like that for the rear of the bigger lawn tractors. Seems a logical place to put them.

Drew I like it, looks like the simple tractors I used all of my farming life, should last a long time.

David with all of that food you might need to run the walking tours.

Have a great day ED

63 this morning and headed to 90 today.

Well yesterday didn't go as planned. Ended up with the youngest son at the ER. High fever but they did figure out he had the Flu. At his age all they can do is give Tylenol to control fever. He did sleep better last night than he did Monday night. Oldest son is back with mom. Let's keep them separate.

We'll have to see what happens today.

Roy nice snow blower. With all the snow you get you'll give it a good workout.

Drew. Nice tractor, but you're going to sweat on it as it has no cab. :). Remotes?

Good Morning! 56F @ 6:00AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds light and variable.

That Massy looks very simple to operate, Drew. Is it hand throttle only, or is there a foot pedal somewhere out-of-frame?

Looks like your patience was handsomely rewarded, Roy. That blower hasn't prevented snow, just moved it west. Here's a shot taken yesterday on one of the mountain passes east of here. A bit early for this sort of thing, but perhaps it means better snow pack for us this winter.

Yesterday's ride over to Reno took a bit more time than I thought, as I took a batch of coins along to sell, and also had lunch with a friend who had recovered a folding chair I left behind at Laguna Seca last month. Came home with some powder and ammo from Cabela's, but had to order the no-lead hunting bullets I had in mind. They're even on backorder from the manufacturer, so it could be a while. The good news was that the coin sale proceeds more than covered the Cabela's bill, and there are a lot more coins to be sold. Also good news is that there were no unexpected surprises on the road, just one stop for road construction, and the flagger waved us through just as I pulled up.

I'll do penance for my day off this morning by working on the wood pile, then try to get some masking done on the van so I can shoot the door jambs when it warms up later this week. But first thing I need to get a fresh batch of nectar out to the hummers using the 25# bag of sugar I picked up at the Reno Costco. What a zoo that place was yesterday. Makes the one here in Chico look sleepy by comparison. Oh, and get some ointment on a bit of poison oak it looks like I picked up, likely from somewhere on the tractor.

Happy Hump Day everyone!

65F and sunny @ 09:30, high today predicted to be 76F.

Got van unloaded yesterday and vacuumed out the cargo area ... what a mess ... lots of crap down in the slots of the E-track on the floor. Got it pretty well cleaned out though.

Didn't get the refrig moved to the daycare ... my friend was tied up handling other stuff. Supposed to do that today, but there's a big wad of heavy thunderstorms headed this way ... should be here in about an hour. Will have to wait until that goes by, 'cause I ain't had my coffee and ain't really awake yet.

Put together a steel order and sent it to the supplier for a quote a few minutes after they had closed. My salesman got it and emailed me back within 15 minutes or so. Good guy.

Did get a little more splitting done last evening ... mebbe an hour or so.

I've probably got less than 10% of the red oak I have here split ... it's going to need to season for a year at least so I figured I'd try to get that done first. Still have some large red oak logs that need bucked into rounds from the last delivery.

Also worked on modifying the knife edge on the 4-way wedge, grinding off excess weld, so it penetrates easier.

The seal leak on the right front axle has gotten pretty bad, so I think I'm going to need to take a break from other things and tear into that and just get it fixed.

Been real nice this week here at the Outer Banks. Hot today though, but back in the 70's tomorrow. More beach damage north and south of us from Hermine, right here wasn't bad. Lost 40' or so of beach, one northwester this winter will put that back. Have drive home Friday so we can drive to Front Royal for youngest grandson's birthday, and oldest' football game. Middle grandson and daughter/son in law here with us this week. He had to stop and visit Grave Digger (monster truck) on the way down.

Roy. I hope that dealer pic was taken last winter...looks like no leaves on the trees...hope autumn isn't that far along in your parts.

Probably was taken either last Fall or late Winter 2016. The unit had been setting outside...you could see some weathering on the paint.

Good afternoon all. 74F this morning going to 86F , light winds. Yesterday may be the last 90+F for a few days, predicted rain is getting pushed off, so irrigation system is back on after missing today. Yesterday two guys tried to prep my pergola with a very small power washer, which was not touching the paint. Even trying my power washer(11hp, 3Kpsi), they could not get the paint all off, so changing from stain to paint, which will not happen today due to rain chances. No truck, looked like it had been broken into by amateur, bottom of cover had hole like tie iron used to open the cover and water damage in headliner, so decided to pass on that one. Pics when I do get one I promise!!
