Arrrrrg. Anyone know a little about plumbing. Specifically a leaky one handle kitchen faucet. There are youtube instructions but not for my faucet that has no visible scews or alen set screws. I did find something I could turn underneath the sink but I was wondering if anyone here has worked with this kind of faucet and what to expect.
Here is a pic of the underside of the one handled faucet.

I don't have one like that, but have something similar...I believe if you pry off that top inner cover piece, you can get to what you need.

Looks pretty much like the Pizer POS that this place had in it when I bought it. Do yourself a favor and replace it with a Delta, and don't suffer for a few years trying to make the darn thing work before you do. All that rust underneath sez it's been leaking for a while, and good luck finding parts.:shocked:

{As told by Eric's Dad}

Good morning. There has been lots of footage of volcanoes on the news this weekend. Have any of you been near one when they are erupting ? Scary things, you never know just how big the next big eruption will be - although not quite as scary as Anzio Annie.

1944

" We moved to Naples to be ready for the landings at Anzio. We did get a few days off to visit Pompeii and tour around Naples. Naples is a beautiful city, with its magnificent buildings and churches. Pompeii was destroyed in Roman times by Mt Vesuvius erupting, little did I know that I was to see Vesuvius erupt again 3 months later from my hospital window. This was a major eruption, the worst for 60years, and at night I could see the red hot lava flowing down the mountain side. The Isle of Capri was completely blacked out by smoke and dust.

Funny, but in France it was the coldest for 60 years, then in Jerusalem it snowed for the first time in 60 years and then Vesuvius erupted after 60 years."

{As told by Eric's Dad}

"By now preparations for landing at Anzio were almost ready. Cassino was a stumbling block to the Allies advance north to Rome and beyond. Cassino was high up in the mountains and fortified with crack German soldiers, a lot were parachutists who would fight to the death. There was a large monastery on the top and although it was of historic value, we had no alternative but to bomb it to the ground, which we did. As causalities mounted, it was decided to land a force at Anzio, higher up the coast and cut off the Germans.

On the day of the landings no enemy opposition was met. (In fact it is now known that we could have carried on up the coast to Rome as there were no Germans to stop us). Anyway, it was decided to get a good foothold at Anzio and build up a huge bridgehead. This was done but it gave the Germans time to bring in a large concentration of troops as well as two huge guns 20 miles away which caused a lot of shipping losses in Anzio port. We nicknamed the guns the Anzio Express, the shells must have weighed above a ton and as they passed overhead, they sounded just like an express whizzing by. Our Air force tried to bomb them but to no avail, as they fired the guns they went into a tunnel in the mountain side.

Our first trench position was took up alongside an American division, never had as much chewing gum going spare. Sometimes we exchanged our rations with them and although they had more than us, I am sure ours were much better, nearly all their food was sweet.

After a fortnight in the frontline we were brought to the rear for a fortnight and then back to the front again, even in the rear though, you were still within firing range of the heavy artillery... we did exercises to keep fit. It may seem comical having a game of football with thoughts of being shelled but the shelling was only occasional and not all of the time. "

54 going to 69 and rain. Been raining all night.

We're in that club of having rain 24 out of the last 27 days. Don't ever remember such a rainy month here. Our local TV weather lady seems to still be cheery. I've made so many lists of outside to-dos during this rainy period that I guess today I'll stay busy consolidating my lists :).

My son picked up his boxer and headed home last night, along with a pound of frozen bar-b-q, and a bag of fresh roasted coffee. Driving from Buffalo to Beaverdam to Durham in one day would be too much for me, especially in the rain much of the way.

Good morning all. 50 here this morning even though the NWS says it is -18 c. going to 68 here today with 60% chance of showers. Got a lot of errands to run today, and HAVE to get the shop packed. Keep finding something else that needs done and putting it off. Closing on the 8th &10th of June so time is running out.
Buppies I can't see how you could sleep going past such an exciting landmark.:laughing: Thanks for the pic.
Also from what I can see from you weather maps sitting by the pool and sipping iced tea might be about right after we get good and settled.

Eric I think it's stressful getting ready to move, can't even imagine what your dad went through. Thank your dad for me. Ed

Eric really enjoying your dads stories

The weather is about to change hazy hot and humid for several days
