67°F and .12 inches rain since midnight.
Only about 10 more pages of TBN to scan thru.

Thanks for thoughts guys. Pele is our youngest boxer, will be 7 this July. She was born with a heart murmur and always a tendency to allergies or ailments not shared by her parents. Will be interesting to get vet's opinion, she has 4 more days of meds. We lost our very first Boxer to cardio myopathy when he was only 7 and a half, our second male at 8 and a half. Pele's parents were health tested before breeding so this is not the genetic heart issues. Aside from appearing very skinny, she is active and playful as ever, appetite as good as always. She has had a great life and our hope is that is how she lives out her days however many or few they may be. Her parents are 8 and 9, our girl Ruby made it to 12, so realistically our boxer days are numbered.

Be safe

Have a great day

Good Afternoon! 77F @ 5:30 PM. Clear. Lows overnight in the low 50s.

Enjoy your retirement while it lasts, BF!

Best of luck to Pele, David. Hope the vets can figure out what's going wrong and get her back on the road to good health.

Been mowing with the new flail the last couple of days. It's working great, but I wish I'd taken the time to do a little tree pruning before I started. Besides having branches smack me in the head, I could have just left them on the ground to get mulched up by the mower. Next time for sure. Now if I could just figure out how to stop sneezing.

Don't freak out about the puke paint on the VW gang. It's a parts car, and will one day soon go rolling off to that big junkyard in the sky. I started that process yesterday by pulling out the bed and kitchen cabinet; boy were there a lot of wires and piping under there! Also got the propane tank and plumbing off, all of which will transfer to the Synchro (4WD) van. Still have another cabinet or two to go, then out comes the glass and off comes the pop top roof. Fun days ahead! Also starting to shop for RV heaters, microwaves, and friges. Any recommendations? Oh, and big battery packs.

Got an appointment to have the tank and sidecovers pin striped on the big dirt bike by a fellow down in Sacramento tomorrow. I'll drop them off on my way to a weekend campout, then pick them up Monday on the way home. Hope the work is as nice as the man I spoke with. It should be; I saw some of his work on another bike at Boxer Metal and it was unbelievable.

Hang in there, Friday's comin'!

rain has finally arrived and it is pounding down, more than an inch predicted today and wow, look at next week, lot of precip coming.
I was going to move the travel trailer to a local campground today but now I'll just wait until tomorrow when the rain stops.
So it looks like an inside day the way the rain is coming down. Good day to finish fixing up my "new" office. So far I'm being good not to leave
new piles, but a piler not a filer I am.

Drew, is there an RV place somewhere really close to the beach, where you can go spend a night in the seabreeze, hear the gulls yelling for shrimp heads, and have an umbrella drink at a nice seaside seafood restaurant?

Or you could play surfer dude and go to the beach to:
Shoot some tubes
Scope some *****
and
smoke some dubes....:) Just kidding of course. (about the tubes and the dubes only)...

Welcome home Ron. Save some energy for your next trip down to Don's.

Whew! I can now get some sleep tonight knowing that you won't be having to drive that colored thang around.

(Also thanks for not being thin skinned)

Good luck with your restoration. Are the state license tags still cheep for old volkswagens?

You just need RS to make you a scale grapple for it.

Great idea Kyle, RS, that would be in 1:50th scale please.
By the way, I have not been able to find any Kubota diecast model of any kind in 1:50 scale for the layout. Any of you know of any????
Been looking for one to add to the antique tractor and auto show scene I have on the Western Adventure side of the table. I have found lots of other scales but no 1:50th stuff. :irked:

Good morning all. Either we missed frost for once, or I got up a little too late to see it. Have plenty of inside jobs lined up for today as it's set to be a day of sleet and wind.

this is from another thread on a mildly controversial issue, a map of all the members. Voluntary of course, many folks want their privacy.
But if you want to participate, another member set this up. And now I know that Shropshire is South of Liverpool, so our good friend the Earl of Shropshire
must have grown up on the Beatles. Eric, you must have some tales to tell.

Sorry to disappoint you Drew, I grew up in Yorkshire, on the other side of the Pennine hills to Liverpool, so in my youth the Beatles home town felt very far away. The traditional way to approach Liverpool from where I now live in Shropshire would have been to travel up and then take a ferry across the river Mersey. 49 going to 63 in drizzle. Got a couple of gully washers last night - added up to .93 inches.

Gerry and the Pacemakers - brings back memories! Always figured it was an actual river - good to read this interesting history.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 44° with light rain this morning. Heading to 52° with light rain in the morning. Then cloudy skies rest of day. Hope to get lawn cut in afternoon. Not going to be a good day. Comcast is up to their usual operations of not doing what they say is going to be done. Usually takes a couple hours on phone to get things running properly. Good thing I have OTA antenna, AT&T wi-fi hot spot, and cell phone.
Good Morning All.

Good morning all. 53 going to 66 today. Misty rain this am then partly sunny. We have had over an inch of rain in the last few days, calling for rain-showers for most of the next week or so. Broke down yesterday and bought a brolly to keep in the car. Looks like it will come in handy for a while.
Spent the day yesterday on the road back and forth to the new bank, actually is a credit union, getting papers signed and delivered for the new house. No nap at all yesterday so I slept in this am. Did not get up until 6:30, Nice to be lazy every now and again.

Rs glad the grapple held up. Hard to think that after all that work it might not.
Buckeye Hope your retirement job is more enjoyable than your last one.

Eric, I made several visits to Campbell-Laird Shipyard, in Birkenhead, across the River Mersey from Liverpool, back in the 1980's.
