I thought the eye to eye stare down of the cats to be interesting. Most animals don't seem to like that, maybe a dominance thing. And those two cats were staring at each other and saying "yeah, you blink first buddy"

Absolutely a dominance thing I'd say.

The other thing I thought was kinda cute was how Mister would take very slow deliberate steps towards The Squeak ... kinda like he was telegraphing what was in store if she didn't submit ...

This was my wife's TrailBlazer after being broadsided by a fire truck running 50 mph with no siren on. The truck was shoved sideways about 200' and into a telephone pole My wife and daughter were in the vehicle, wife had a few minor cuts, daughter a very mild concussion. The floor accorddioned and the console popped off, but the seats and harnesses stayed in tact. My wife had just had her pacemaker put in about 6 weeks before. Neither would drive anything but a TrailBlazer/Envoy/Bravada, etc..., for years after that, both swore the vehicle saved their lives.

I still have an old 2000 2 door Blazer with low miles, not sure why, I got in it yesterday and checked the gas gauge, and realized I put gas in 6 weeks ago.
Totally different platform than the later TB and Enviy though.

Ed, sorry you went through that. Not a memory I'm sure you enjoy dredging up.
I was a volunteer fireman for many years, helping the rescue squad with auto extrication.
Watched teenagers die in front of me.
Now I know why Volvo sells so many cars.
Also why we should all kiss our loved ones every day.

Thanks Daugen, Sometimes it is good to remember. Helps you think about how good you have it now instead of seeing the things that are wrong. I was a fireman for a little over 10 years, good and bad memories. Worst one was when a truck driver was asked where is the driver of the vw? His response was you just stepped in him. Ed

Okay, okay I am sorry I over reacted Thanks to wngsprd I thought it over. Guess I will hang. As for TMI when I see something too long to scan I will pass and anyone who sees me has the same right to just look over.
We have most of us had hard times. Ed that sounds like a bad kick you got. We lost our home in a tornado along with everyone else s on our street in 1990 and I lost three people I knew, One was a best friend but to loose a wife,,,,,,,,,WOW.
Enough said,
Today's stuff was finish up the gravel work.

Done,,,,,,,,,,,,, Graded flat and level with a nice crown. Then rolled it out for about an hour in all directions with Jim's (next door neighbor) 60" 600 lb + roller. It is sweet if I do say so for myself.

Here are some pictures of the drive. This is just the part I put in, the other 1/4 mile up to the road,,well that is another day.

Took my JD mower steering assembly apart again yesterday, seemed a little loose, and I bought a $5 bushing...they're plastic now rather than metal. The old metal one had an oval hole worn in it rather than original round. Took 2 hours, but much tighter now, and hopefully won't allow the pinion and sector gears to wear out again so soon. Took a peek at the new heavier duty models while at the dealer...left my checkbook at home .

So did you find a model you like? How much do you mow?

My wife had a 94 Blazer, 350 V8. We called it robo truck! Sold it with 245k miles, last I heard, it was still running with over 300k, and the engine has never been opened up. It got us thru a lot of bad winters here in Michigan.

My garden finally got 1.4" of rain. Is looking fair(what has come up), except the weeds are racing the plants to the sky. I have the worst weeds. Nutsedge, and some others that grow nodules down deep.
