93 degrees in Eastern PA, just took my second shower of the day, wet clothes hanging about...
but I see the weather is supposed to cool off for the next week.

I drove an Intrepid for three years as a company car. Once the guys with the Tauruses rode in it, they were not happy, much larger interior, handled better, and even the little six had some oomph. I couldn't get away with ordering the bigger 3.5 V6 because it had a big emblem tattling on the side...but I did like that car. I think it was Chrysler's first "cab forward" design and it really was spacious. But without a steady diet of Corinthian leather, it soon expired.;)

Good afternoon all, back from Kansas, no major set backs except one afternoon of thunderstorms and no shoulders not a good combo :(. Mileage reduced from 550 to 515. I don't have personal total yet, but bicycle computer indicated about 520.
Almost forgot, 93F high 71F this morning no rain forecast but popup thunderstorms possible, wife reported 4 1/2 inches rain last week :)

82*F here for a high. It was warmer and stickier in town, bank thermometer said 88.

Court recessed at 3 pm; one or two witnesses for the defense didn't show up. I bet tomorrow morning will be their last chance. The judge is a stickler for order and seems to have her head on straight. The jurors have to file in and out of the court room in the same order each time. The only time jurors are free to go anywhere except the jury room, which has its own one-hole unisex restroom, is the one-hour lunch break. I think my jury duty will be done by mid-day Thursday or sooner.

The Mitsubishi split units continue to do well. They work better with the load when there is some heat outside. When the outdoor temps are 75-80, it's more difficult to find the happy spot between not too cold and running enough to pull the humidity down. They work okay then, but my guess is they are a tad over-sized. We are experimenting with running just one unit in that situation. I'm interested in seeing how much power they consume when we get our next electric bill. Anyways, it is pure decadence to walk into a cool, dry house when it is in the sticky 80's outside.

Good Afternoon. 1735, mostly cloudy, 93F {heat index of 103} with 56% humidity. Forecast high of 98F this afternoon and a low of 71F tonight. Our high was 96F about half an hour ago, and with a few thunderstorms in the area, I don't think we will hit 98F today. I can hear thunder right now. We had a serious storm roll through about 1930 last night. I saw the warning on TV before it hit. We have heavy glass doors here in the Civic Center. The back lobby door is hard to close all the way, and often it is not latched. During the height of the storm, the wind pulled that door open and slammed it three times. There was hail north of us, but I didn't see any here.

There was no slicing and dicing at my derm appointment this morning. They just turned me into Icicle Man. I'm sure I will thaw out when I see the bill. Most times it's over a hundred bucks per squirt, with my insurance picking just over half the bill. They froze off five places, so my part will be around $200.

Hope everyone had a good day.

that sounds like a very fine swimming hole and not too deep for kids unless there's a lot of current.
any fish you can catch/eat in there?
or will the fish eat you?...

Recently visited good friends in Wilmington NC, not too much further South than where I'm thinking of moving to, and they
have alligators visiting occasionally. And quickly whisked away by the gator catcher in their clearly not totally gated community.

Now I see water down here and wonder what's in it; not used to serious carnivores in the water with me up North...

Drew, you already share the water with the most dangerous animal the Good Lord created. Man. I can guess what a gator is going to do. {99 out of 100 times, he is going to run} With people, you never know until they do it.

Weird day today, helped my neighbor's family sort out his stuff, he had a lot of wood stored up for projects he never got to finish. I guess that is what is going to happen to me, some folks sorting thru my "treasures", wondering what the heck was he thinking?? :) Hopefully, that will be a long time in the future!! :)

Had to pic up 616 feet of baseboards at Lowes on Monday, 28 - 12 footers and 35 - 8 footers. Son inlaw has a new Chevy truck but only has a 6 foot box. His Chrysler van could only take 10 footers so he tells me, so I use my trusty Chysler Interpid. Friends said I could not do it but I got all the boards in the car and was able to close the trunk.

Ha, that reminds me if the time I was able to just barely put 10' sections of PVC pipe in my Grand Cherokee. When I close the back hatch The PVC went 1" through the front windshield. Nothing to do but drive home through heavy traffic to unload. I did get a few stares.:ashamed:

Don't feel lonely, Don
I once got some long 2x4s and scooted them thru the slider window between the cab and covered bed of my Tacoma and rest on dashboard. Sure enough, had to hit the the brakes and the 2xs tried to exit thru the windshield. :(
