Good morning to all.
Rain started here about 3:15 a.m. and over before daylight. Lots of lightning and a bit of wind off and on. Very calm now at first light.

Good Morning. 0715, mostly cloudy, 62F with 98% humidity. Forecast high of 74F with 90% chance of thunderstorms today, and a low of 62F tonight.

I'm off to town later this morning to do the week's shopping. Margie's office is my customer at work tonight, so I can't even get a break from the honey do's by going to work. It's poll workers' training, getting the folks ready for the Presidential Preference Primary coming up next month. Most years it is already decided before the circus comes to Florida. This year it might still be in play.

I have sprouts on 6 of my 8 kinds of peppers, as well as tomatoes, sweet corn, acorn squash and cilantro. I have 10 pepper plants ready to go outside, but unlike KevT, I fear there is one more frost coming.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

36 this morning and headed to 60 today before the rain moves in.

Found the elusive waterline yesterday. Just didn't have time to finish digging it up before the boys doctors appointment. The good news is his tonsils aren't infected currently. The bad is if he gets one more round of strep he'll qualify for tonsil surgery. But he has the doctor nervous because he's under 3. They like for him to be older, as 3 is the minimum age for infection reduction. They'll do it younger if it's sleep apnea related.

So today's chore list is to finish replacing my water hydrant. That'll probably be enough for the day as only about half the ditch is dug. And that clay is hard.

Kev and Kev nice projects.

Drew. Did they give you a spin on filter. If so go to TSC and get the filter you want. If not they have the filter head also.

32 going to 46 cloudy. Depending on who you listen to rain or snow tomorrow?
Guess I will put the snow plow back on JIC.
The Frost is rising and the place is a mess of mud and the deer tracks are deep and all over in the grass I had better get some grass seed and let them set it for me.

Drew like Farmer said I think you can get a fitler that does both. Just look for the one with the petcock on the bottom.

Farmer I'll have to check on it remind me Saturday as a good source I use comes out every Saturday evening. Northern tool I think has the additional filter you want Drew.

Something on my mind this morning Safety don't know why but it is. We all work around equipment please be safe and take the necessary precautions to protect yourself

35.7F and clear @ 09:15 ... calling for a high of 48F today.

Probably do some paperwork ... and might see if I can locate the key for the alarm box and tear into that and see if I can figure out what we've got going on there.

Probably should read the manual for the system while I'm at it ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and productive day.

This is what I have on my bulk diesel tank. You can see any water or sediment in bottom of the bowl, open the petcock, drain and viola! I had a tank with spin on filter a long time ago and only way you know you had a problem was declining fuel flow.

Might also gather up the crap the derelicts left, stick it all in a box, and drop it off over at his Mommy's house ...

Rick (is it ?)

That's the same one I have here on my tank ... I use the non-water block filters.

I actually need to change it.

thanks guys.
that's the exact same filter housing I have, with the petcock on the bottom.
Being used to draining Racor housings in a diesel boat, well, I can do this...
Ok, so I need a dual purpose filter, not the sediment one they put in.
I'll look for it.

the guy who put this together apparently didn't understand how to use a paper towel

Drew.
I like that tank set up. How much did you say you have invested in it? Did you have it filled with off road real diesel?

Well the bucket/grapple is off and the snow plow is back on and we shall see what happens tomorrow on the weather.

Good morning all. 46F rain, 1.2 in overnight, and more on radar. Declining temps all day, will start a fire soon. Not much going on outside today, have some more consulting to do, will get after after fire going.

If you treat your diesel with Power Service or similar treatments which contain a water dispersant, a water-block filter is wasted money.

Pick only one from Column A ... or from Column B ... ;)

so the additives disperse the water, i.e. I assume make it fall to the bottom, and I just drain off the clear
until the pink starts. I don't know, sounds complicated...;)

first I have to fix the silly bowl so it won't leak every time I turn the pump on.

Good Morning! 63F @ 10:15 AM. Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. High 68F. Winds light and variable.

Beautiful day yesterday, perfect for sipping a nice red out by the campfire waiting for the BBQ to finish with a nice pork chop. The shoulder seasons are always the best time of year around here.

Farmer, here's a shot of those lopping shears I mentioned the other day:

loppingShears.jpg

And here's another showing the winch mount bracket I put together for the box scraper:

With the mechanical stuff out of the way it's time to get the electrical portion done. I've located a forklift parts supplier in town, and will try to swing by there today to see what they recommend.

My main lopper is a Corona too, very happy with it.
RNG, neat winch setup. Nice and portable.
