Yes I see them[ Good work by the way] But the video asks me to sign on. People are touchy tonight. I will stay off the kioti forum.

Video works fine on my iPad, no muss, no fuss, no sign in.

Great work on your bucket grapple!

I think it should work now. Try it again and let me know, if you will.

Works for me. How does the grapple line up with the front of the bucket?

Here it is murphy, You are kind of tied to the geometry of the clamp as to what you get at full stroke and closed and this is where it ended up.

You won't even have to take it off to use your bucket... Just leave her wide open.. cool I like it!

Your right, I raised it up today and filled the bucket with CA6 to fill some pot holes in the lane and it does not interfere with normal bucket functions. But if I want it off I have two choices. pull three pins, two QC and remove the clamp or pull four bolts, two QC and remove it all.

Kev, once you see all the benefits you will soon want to build or buy a root grapple. I really like how wide yours opens, great engineering!

Good morning. Had several attention seeking showers waking us by rattling on the windows last night.

Larro reminded me the other day that it's soon time to start planting up in the garden. It has been so wet this winter that I haven't been able to get on with constructing our raised beds on the ground I levelled back in the autumn (well that's my excuse and there is some truth in there somewhere). I'm hoping that will dry out soon, but in the meantime thought I could make a start on where my wife wants to grow herbs, just outside the back door.

The herb patch turned into a mini project, thanks to the ground being partially occupied by a slab of concrete that was previously the entrance to a cattle building. Slicing through the mid sections was easy. Edge sections were much thicker than my disc, it took me all afternoon to persuade them to come out without cracking the rest of the concrete.

Kev from the North, looks very neat in the video. Does it remind anyone else of the Jim Carrey film Liar Liar with "Nothing can stop THE CLAW" ? :)

Kev, That looks GREAT!!! And you are right, I wish I had one with all my downed trees. Just not in the budget right now. I do have a problem though, next time you take pictures in front of your shop can you make it a little messier? Wow, everything is so clean and organized. You are a better man than I. Mine looks like a tornado set down in it and lived there for a week.

I finished the wife's round pen yesterday and then raked out the roots and sticks from the tree removal from Saturday. Got dizzy from driving around and around in a 50 foot circle. :D

Eric, I planted our garden a week ago and keep looking for something coming up, all I have so far is still rows of dirt ( well mostly sand here) I am so impatient when it comes to growing anything. All the pastures are coming back in well though so I guess spring is coming quickly. Wife and I are going to start her herb garden this weekend. We grow hers in clay pots on a stand I built on the back deck. She likes to cut it and cook with it without having to go up and down the stairs.

It is 64 now with a nice rain, going to 81... it is still February isn't it?

Buppies, what is your forecast for middle of Ohio (Walnut Creek / Mt. Hope) area the second week of March? I have to keep wife down to one suitcase. LOL

39 and raining going to 46 and rain.

Spring is near...we had our first daffodil bloom yesterday, and the Carolina wrens have started building two nests...unfortunately one was under the hood of my riding mower, which I had to remove before using it yesterday.

KevFTN - nice job on the grapple...great feeling of accomplishment, I bet...video worked fine...now we need some action shots lifting some logs or brush.

KevT - one suitcase...got a good laugh out of that! My garden has about a one inch layer of rain water sitting on it...so no planting for a long while here...plus I hope we get some more snow before that.

Sharpened the chain saw and took off after the little stumps sitting 1" high on my new woods trail yesterday...cut 51 flat to the ground, and of course have a very dull chain now after slicing into some dirt. The biggest was about 10 or 12 inches in diameter, and used it as a wooden Frisbee for Coco, who loved it.

Good morning all. Wet here, lot more rain coming in for next two days. Worse, tornado alert for all tomorrow; that's not good.
Must be some nasty weather in the MidWest right now, be careful out there.

What fun to fill up my tractor from the new tank. Automatic nozzle worked fine, didn't trust it first time...
And then I looked back at the tank and saw diesel dripping out of the bottom of the fuel filter.
Looks like I have to take it apart and reseal it, though with all the white goop the slob who built this splashed all over the place, one
would think leaks would have been the last problem. Seems the first guy who put this unit together had to redo it when the boss found him using plastic pipe
instead of steel. Uh oh. I wonder if he was the B team. But it sure pumped right up. $1.339 oh happy days

Before I pumped fuel into the tractor I pumped about a gallon into an empty tank. No idea what manufacturing/assembly crap was in there but sure didn't want it in my machinery. That gallon goes on the burn pile.
They put a sediment filter in; I would have rather had a water removal filter. Actually, I wanted both and they only gave me one. I also would have paid for a final paint job and a fuel gauge, but they never offered it. Though I try to do things I can do well myself, and pay others for things I can't physically do any longer or just know someone else can do a better job. This I can do myself, just pipe plumbing.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 58° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with some clouds. Little cooler for a few days. Back to waxing another section of motorhome.
Good Morning All.
