It is a workhorse chassis with the Chevy 8.1 L engine. Trek痴 were built without a bedroom and they provide you with a magic bed that comes out of the ceiling. This one is a 2005 28 foot with rear bathroom. We looked at them several years ago when we had the Winne Adventurer but they were way too expensive for our budget.

Had a pristine low mileage Airstream 34 footer with the 7.4 L that I lost in the divorce...the ex took a huge loss when she tried to resell it....GOOD !!! The darn thing was a handyman special when I originally purchased it cheap and I never managed to keep up with it. Great chassis, super engine and drivetrain, but the coach body had so many flaws and electrical gremlins I don't miss it.

Good Afternoon. 1335, sunny, 73F with 45% humidity. Forecast high of 75F this afternoon, and a low of 55F tonight. The river is 26.39' and is set to crest at 26.9' at 0200 in the morning. They have it staying there for 18 hours then starting to fall. The highest chance of rain before the weekend is 6%, so maybe it will fall out some before the next round of rain. The fellow who is leasing our hayfield came by this morning. He said about half the hayfield is underwater, as is the road leading down there.

In other storm related news, when I went over to Mamma' yesterday to plant her a few rows of speckled peas, I saw the tree that had blown down a few days ago. I had heard about it, but didn't realize how big it was. It was also too near her trailer for comfort.

We had a Wiinie Adventurer for about five years, but the kids were in college and we were not using it so we sold it, wasn’t an easy sale. It had the 454 engine which was good but the interior had many flaws and low cost items, so getting the Safari Trek is certainly a step up for us. Now that we are at the age where we can take off during the winter and get out of the cold will be our plan next winter.

A little rain this am, and it was very windy today. Got mostly nothing done today, put everything off until tommorrow. No good reason, just couldn't get started....

Good evening all. Bust day today. Mowed with ZTR wife helps we trade off every half hour. Took stepson and grand daughter to airshow with Blue Angels, B17, B25, Corsair, SBD, Skyraider, Patty Wagstaff, Mike Goulian, Skip Stewart, and plenty of static displays. Sneaked a quick 17.5 mile ride in before dinner.

51 going up to 78, but wind gusts of 30mph are included.
Got half my grass cut yesterday when the riding mower belt broke. Fortunately I had a new one on hand, but had a heck of a time getting it to stretch over the drive pulley spindle. This is about the 4th time I've changed it over the years, and never a problem before. I think they are making them a tiny bit smaller to save a few pennies .

Got coffee pot brewing. 44° with overcast skies this morning. Heading to 57° with some sun. Got to clean up garage, shop and barn from all the little projects I have done since last year. Then watch Sprint NASCAR race.
