got a lot done outside after the showers left, including getting my old water heater in the dumpster where it belonged. And picking up more trash from the road.
Today's roadside trash haul showed a well balanced consumer. Unfortunately a piggish one to throw all this out the window in one spot.

tore the old chicken coop down, what fun with the grapple, loose metal went in the metal recycle pile, loose wood went in the firepit and the stuff stuck together in another pile for a helper to beat it apart. Everything here done in barn red metal siding. Now I have room to cut up a big tree trunk nearby and drag it past where the chicken coop is/was. Otherwise I would have caught the chicken coop on the tree trunk I hopefully will be able to drag and now that would be a real mess.

I've got hope that is the case. So far they have played down to their competition. The biggest thing that has happened in the 2nd half of the season was moving the left tackle to center, and putting the true freshman {Big} Rod Johnson in at left tackle. The run game has got much better since then, and they are protecting the passer better. That and getting a lot of the defensive players healthy. There was one game where 7 linebackers were out due to injury. But no matter how it turns out, I'm proud of the way they have fought throw adversity and keep winning.

Thanks for the Welcome Larro, I wanted to buy a Blue one but just could not swing a deal that I was happy with. Ended up with what I think will be a real nice Orange one.

This is the last week of deer season here, so will plan a little time for that this week with FIL.

Well, the warm spell is over and more wintry temperatures for the next week or so. Most lows predicted to be in the high single digits to low teens.

It's 30 degrees right now...and that's the high for today. As far as plans, I'm supposed to meet a buddy of mine this morning to head to his hunting camp.

27F. Staying below freezing today and through the 10 day forecast, so that will be a bit of a return to normal. The only precip in the forecast is Jan 6th, so I think it will be mostly a dry period.

Nice looking stove TXDon. You built a fire in the stove! What a concept, I mean, whoda thunk it? :laughing: :laughing: It just sounds so strange to have a stove that doesn't get lit until almost January.

Drew, the litter bugs will be the last to go before the cockroaches. What are those pock marks/holes in the dirt on the upturned stump? They don't look natural.
