54 this morning and headed to 57 today. Suppose to drop after lunch when the rain moves back in. Been a fairly dry winter here so far. Pond still isn't running out spill way. Wife has doctors appointment so maybe I can get her shopping done. Her not having school this week really hurts.
Roy glad your ok.
Dave my enthusiasm for chicken comes from growing up not raising them. Roll eyes. We eat chicken every night for supper and twice on the weekends for over a year once. Mom finally walked into living room and asked dad me and sister what we wanted for supper she was offering three different kinds of chicken. I answered anything but chicken. There was a freezer full of beef. Dad was rolling mom was mad. From then on I would call and see what was for dinner. If it was chicken I would eat something in town before going home.
I guess your Mom liked chicken, I'm sure she had her reasoning. When I was around 5-8 years old my parents were very strict about meals. Whatever they put on the plate for supper, my sister and I didn't leave the table until it was gone. Well, my sister and I spent some dreary and extended times at the table. She is two years older than me and a bit more devious, like sneaking her food to the dog or artfully rolled it up in her paper napkin.
One time my Mom made deep fried chicken and gave some to my sister and I before she and Dad sat down to eat. That chicken was the original rubber chicken, you may as well have tried chewing on a wad of rubber bands. Of course when we told Mom and Dad we couldn't eat the chicken they figured we were making excuses, shut up and eat, ya know. It was priceless watching my Dad try to eat a piece of that chicken before giving up.
