Good Morning, 0925, 72F with 92% humidity. Forecast high of 77F with 20% chance of rain today, and a low of 52F tonight. Looks like tomorrow will be kind of nasty. It will be wet and cool, 100% chance of rain and highs in the mid 50's.

My long nap yesterday when the power was out led to me reading most of the night. I slept in and haven't even started my cardio and lifting yet. I think I could talk myself out of it if I tried very hard. But I have the 4th quarter of last night's football game Q'ed up on the DVR, so I guess I'll go ahead and get started.

Good progress day yesterday, but I did fudge a bit and watched the Patriots win before setting off to work.
Wife has taken my truck in for a service call so I can get an early start on my project.

62 this morning at daylight. 50 now. Dropping rest of day. Very windy. The county Mesonet site is reporting 15 mph winds with 23 mph gust. So they have calmed down. As it recorded a 42 mph gust earlier. Some places around the state recorded over 50 mph gusts.

Another day in chicken coup. Looks like I get to rebuild the auto brake on a winch. Should be interesting. Never had that one before.

Hello David, we only use Propane for our On Demand Hot Water and I have two 100 pound (23 gallon) tanks that I haul to the hardware store in town and they fill one for $69.00 so that is $3.00 a gallon.

Ours is mostly the on demand HW, we have 3 units, the kitchen range, the gas grill, and 4 gas fireplaces that don't run very often. We have a 250 g tank here at the house. I still use bottles at the cottage for On demand HW, range, grill, and I'm installing a small gas heater. Bottle refills are cheaper per gallon than the big tank as long as I don't figure in my labor and the 40 mile round trip.

Good morning all. 36F this morning, wife reported snow at 4AM to finish off the rain 3.3 in total since Sat morning. Windy here, 15 gusts to 25 feels like more forecast high is 42 continued cloudy. Trying to get straps back so I can haul trailer to recycle.

Don, will fences keep out the feral hog? My in-laws in SO MO Ozarks have had little luck with fences preventing crop damage from hogs.

Hard to see, but there is a gate just out of focus and I do have hopes to relocate that section of hog wire to include that piece. Right now we have the inner portion (about 6 acres) around the house fenced with hog wire and a string of barbed along bottom. Works pretty good keeping the dogs in and the pigs out. This family live in the little gulch just outside the fence from my cottage. I would have to fence both sides of gulch and install 2 gates to keep them restricted. Probably not gonna happen

A big blow just came thru about 1/2 hour ago ... temp dropped significantly and it had a driving rain coming down about horizontal. We knocked off ... which is fine as I need some rest.

Got about 3/4 cord gathered up and stacked.

Top blew out of a maple tree and just missed the magnolia ... looks like it got the bird feeders though. Had another whole tree blow down just beyond the edge of the lawn ... appears to be a big ash ... probably 16" to 18" at the base, maybe 50' or 60' tall ...

Sun is back out now ... but it's nap time.

Sorry to see you guys are having such rough weather and power outages.

Been very windy here, but hit 74 about 3 hours ago.

No progress on getting my splitter engine started today. Removed and cleaned bowl, nut, float and needle, and replaced spark plug. But weather was too nice and had other outdoor chores, so didn't have time to troubleshoot any other steps.

A mennonite family is building a house down the street from me, from my back window I can see about have the singles have blown off the house. Did not get enough days with heat to seal the singles, that is really to bad.

That's some rough weather guys for so many to be loosing power. What's your causes? Just wind?
