Good morning! 46˚ heading to the 60s. It look like these temperatures will hold this week and next week when Ron gets here it should be a week in the range of 50˚-70˚ each day.
No rain or snow in the forecast.

These are good clearing brush days which means sore nights.

Drinking second cup of coffee. 38° (Nashville, TN) with clear skies this morning. Heading to 61° (Meridian, MS) with lots of sun all day. Made it into Nashville with no problems. Driving down to MS today. Should be a good trip with part of it being on the Natchez Trace Parkway.

I guess with the rain coming in tonight, I'll resist the urge to paint outside today. Plus it's our anniversary

. We rarely have a chance to do something special for our anniversary always coming around Thanksgiving...either getting the house and groceries ready for guests, or getting ready to travel to a relative's house.

Got to start my annual 11 gazillion leaf raking chore today. I have a system, start at back of house, buildings, work to front loading them on me trailer behind me JD2210, dumping in my mulch ditch, repeat, repeat, repeat, then me yard looks great, and me body is older...

Good Morning. 1045, rain, 54F with 100% humidity. Forecast high of 55F with 100% chance of rain today, and a low of 42F tonight. McLawn is right. The south does have a rainy season, and it's here. It has been raining off and on all morning, with a little bit of thunder mixed in. Looks like it's going to last until about daylight in the morning.

I have my cardio and breakfast behind me. Now I have to hit the shower and get on the road for my weekly trip to town. I hope my rain luck holds for going into and coming out of stores. Maybe I can skip the shower now, because I'm sure to be getting little ones all day

We were on the road all yesterday. Upper 60's and strong winds all the way across the NY Thruway. Scores of snow plow trucks were headed home from Buffalo, plus lowboys hauling front-end loaders.

After a flurry of emails back and forth, decided to postpone my drive North for a day, let the storm blow through, and then early on Thanksgiving morning make the drive. And then stay a day later. It all works and sure makes more sense than driving in insane traffic in pouring rain and accumulating snow. Billie, at least you'll be driving away from the snow. Let's all get to Grandma's house in one piece.

If all that nastiness I'm seeing on the radar does clip off this part of the coastline, won't be any doubt our new three inch rain forecast will be met.
Well, won't have to water the sod. Of course I might be chasing it down the street...

I did find a little time today to work on getting my splitter started - yippee! Started on the 8th pull, so of course I had to split wood until dark.

No rain here yet, but expecting over an inch tonight before it turns to snow. Drew, hope you don't get more rain than you need. If 3 inches, don't forget to take a look at how deep water is in your ditch under your bridge before you head to Virginia.

We had had a great anniversary lunch at out favorite Mexican restaurant...not very romantic, but was all the time we could fit in since we're getting things ready for company and then a trip. We've had a very happy 36 years.

33F and cloudy @ 22:50 ...

Just went up to the shop and loaded up the wood stove and then throttled it back ... there was still wood & coals in it (I came down to the house @ 18:00, plus or minus) ... be interesting to see how it does now with a gasket on the door ... hopefully it will make it all night.

Came back down to the house and was bringing in some wood out of the loader bucket to load the furnace here @ the house and Mister (the cat) escaped when I opened the front door to come inside. Loaded it up and then went back out and sat on the steps ... he showed up after a minute or two. That big orange kitty-eating monster with the mouth full of wood sitting in the driveway probably made him nervous ... lol ... so I scooped him up and brought him in.
