thanks guys. She is one happy camper tonight. If either one of us is still up by 8pm I'd be surprised, but who knows, now she may have happy nervous energy vs. worried nervous energy. I like the first type much better...:thumbsup:
Her last CT was so bad we knew she either tried something fairly experimental or there was nothing left for her.
She had been turned down for the last four trials she had applied for. I think you can imagine how happy she was today.

and thank goodness for TBN that I could read while sitting interminably in a dreary waiting room today. :dance1:

Good morning. 0800, sunny, 72* with 91% humidity. Forecast high of 92* with no chance of rain. Have a good one everybody.

I had to go back and do a double check on my morning post. The part about no chance of rain. I went out and tilled a couple of food plots back behind the house in the edge of the longleaf pines. Then I went back there in the truck to do some tree trimming. I wanted to open up more shooting lanes in the woods woods {as opposed to the longleafs}. I did some trimming near my shooting house, then remembered a spot by one of the bigger oaks where the trail was really grown up. It scraped the truck pretty good coming in, so I figured I would clear that spot up a bit. There were two or three yaupon bushes, plus some oak limbs that were hanging over the trail, so I started with them. But when I cut them, they fell across the trail, blocking it until I could get them moved. I had to get around on the other side and pull the bushes by the trunk, and to do that, I had to cut a lot of other brush to get to them. About thirty minutes into this job, I had a couple of good sized brush piles made, and was getting close to the trunks of the yaupon. I had worked up a pretty good sweat by then, so when the wind came up all of a sudden and started blowing cool air, I wasn't minding it. The high winds lasted for about four or five minutes, then the thunder and lightning set in. Followed closely behind by a few sprinkles, which quickly became some hard rain. I had cleared enough to get to the three yaupon's so I pulled them out of the trail and hot footed it back to the truck. Of course by then I was as wet as I could get, so there wasn't really any use in hurrying. Here is the spot I was working on. The first one is the bushes across the trail. Then just as the rain was starting. Back in my truck {soaked}. And from the truck window.



Then when I got home, my sister was calling, saying she had locked herself out of Mamma's truck in the TSC parking lot in Marianna. So when Margie got in from work, we got to go to town.

71 this morning with a high of 88 today and numerous storms this afternoon. Started weed eating late this afternoon and promptly got a snake (I do not like snakes), got thru second tank then quick storm and ended up taking second bath of the day. Got most of pond perimeter done and a portion of fence line done. If work ends soon enough today will do some more this afternoon. Working out of town again today so up the dreaded interstate again.
