.155 gets the job done, will strip oak bark right off a tree

RNG, got half the value of the old tires as credit against new. Same deal I've had for almost thirty years in various tire shops.
It's easy, at least with my local guy, I just print out the tirerack.com page with the price on and he goes from there.
I doubt Costco would give a trade-in, I'd have to sell tires on CraigsList.
hey amigo, will you take ten dollars a tire?
I admit to taking the very easy way out here, a wonderful path of least resistance.

good luck with concrete David

tired of running errands, going to put some 303 on those new tires

Thanks for sharing that, Drew. Though it's very unlikely I'll ever buy a new vehicle again, it's always nice to learn a trick or two from an experienced horse trader such as yourself!

As far as trimmer line goes, this property is so rocky I have yet to find a line that survives more than a few minutes of use. I ended up buying one of the hedge cutter bars intended for use on the Stil multi-tool gizmos after learning it would also fit on the big handlebar Stihl string trimmer. Works pretty well, even in tall grass, and the blade guards keep the rocks and other debris off the blades. I also don't have to worry about pebbles being shot into my glass sliding doors. At a K-buck a piece to replace, it only took once to stop using string trimmers near the house. The converted DR would work in areas too large for a string trimmer, and with the deck gone it would be light enough to go in areas too steep for the tractor, so that's why I'm interested.

PT went well this morning. I let her believe she was the first to get me out on the porch. I did walk the length of the house 5 times with the walker.

I get re evaluated next week. Think i will lose home PT, doing too good. Right now 6 oct is my last date. Will go to outpatient PT next, which is a pain as wife will have to take me.

Not much done after that. Took an afternoon nap.

Finished watching a netfix series called Rust Valley Restorations, that restore old muscle cars from junk. Interesting show, but the canned drama got old.
The finished cars were awesome.

Good evening all. 73F for the start, calm wind, clear sky. Light wind today, mostly clear sky, high temp 95F HI 100. Choir practice to start, then lawn mow, lunch with stepdaughter and boyfriend (she got to work from home, water main issue at her job site). Afternoon was dog sitting and napping.
Buckeye sorry about potential loss of home PT, doe that mean you are getting better?
Birthday was stepdaughter's, she was on the road when it occurred. One of her friend organised it was nice time.
Billy sorry to hear about your wife's folks.
Ron hope tire fix is successful, does todo list inclure seat time. Seems like your seat time is as elussive as rain in Texas in the summer.
Don haven't the car door trick, but niegbors dogs got out of the back pen, and a few other things. I chickened out and texted instead of calling. :ashamed:
Check, siding  70 is a lot nicer than 95 for doing siding.
PJ nice work getting the Husky back running, and nice score on the walk behind line trimmer.
Drew thanks for the article, have to wonder if the guy was wearing his hemet, I pretty much do. I know my head may not always "work" right but it is the only one I get :D
RNG sounds like a nice weekend. Had something simular happen at the Kerrville ride, 4 bike clubs run it and the one scedules to run it back out at the last minute less than 1 month to go. Another bike club stepped in and got the job done, take a lot of man power to run rest stops.
David hope concrete work went well
prayers for all.

Hope your neighbor didn't buy ice cream, Don.

Ha, well she was not too concerned. My wife called her at 9:00 a.m. an hour after she had seen her in the garage, just in case she did not see her car door open in the driveway and she asked if it was her car, my wife assured her it was. I looked out the window and saw her husband get in his truck that was parked next to the car and he took off without closing the car door or taking in the groceries. The open door was on the other side of his truck. Then we left at 1:00PM - still open door with groceries in the back seat but when we got back at 3:00 pm the car door was finally shut. ????? They are either in their twilight years or the twilight zone.
Lousy night at cards, probably dropped a few in ranking tonight.
Ron, nice prom pic! She will be missed.

Good morning. Got up earlier than expected, thought Max was barking, then when I got downstairs I found only a very sleepy dog. When we got outside I realised the noise was coming from a neighbour's dog doing a pretty good impersonation.

Did you hear about a lady called Sarah Thomas, over here from Colorado to do a bit of swimming ? She has swam from England to France before and enjoyed it so much, she decided to do it again - a year after having surgery and chemo for breast cancer. The English Channel is ONLY 21 miles as the crow flies, but strong tides add to that distance. What is even more remarkable is that once she reached the far shore, she turned round and did it again and again and again, taking 54 hours to become the first person ever to swim the channel FOUR times non stop.

BEF, maybe that will inspire you add another house length to today's achievements ? :)

Mostly, did you ever get any further with a repair for the your cracked bike frame ?
