Good morning all. It's a dull start to the day here. We could have done without the heavy drizzle but just had a call to say the baler is on his way over, so hopefully he can wrap both fields before it gets too soaked.

Wng, you must have a very sophisticated coffee machine if it is designed to accept firmware upgrades !

David, looks like you had a good workout yesterday, even if you were a little stumped without a backhoe

Hawkeye, sounds like you could do with a more restful day too.

70- going to 84.

Roy and Jay, thanks for the Mt Washington links...never get tired of seeing great mountains. Just looked at the Observatory site...39F and gusts to 66 mph, just a normal morning.

Eric, the firmware upgrade was for the roaster, not the coffee machine. I actually brew my coffee without a machine...using a kettle of hot water in a pour-over method, in a glass carafe with filter called a Chemex (gift from my son, makes the best coffee I have tried).

David, great job without the BH.

Thomas, Boo Boo looks right at home.

BEF, any chance you felt that earthquake up north of Hanover? Probably too far away.

Coffee is done brewing. 59° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 76° with cloudy skies and a good chance for rain. Did not get the seat time I want yesterday. Had more visitors yesterday. One of them bought my Chevy Captiva that I towed behind motorhome. Will finish the deal one day this week. I did take a afternoon nap. Will have to see how today goes if I get that much needed seat time. Looks like I have a few weeks to go before be off longer than Buckeye and Randy. No plans to catch up to them.

David, good tree removal. You are going to miss the BH.

Jay, sorry to hear you need to prep for a colonoscopy.

Thomas, Boo Boo may be a full time job when you retire. :D

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning 69 and heading to upper 70's. Not much planned for the day see what plans my wife has for me I guess, maybe I'll see some of the Yankees game this afternoon.
Seems like everyone had a busy Saturday I drank a coffee catching up.
Kyle your daughter is talented enjoy seeing her work.
David I sold my backhoe years back didn't think I would ever need it again all my work was done well I was wrong but lucky enough to have a friend with a construction company who will let me borrow a mini excavator when needed.
BEF I know how tempting it is to climb into the cab of the tractor good therapy but you don't need to add a fall to your recovery. A week after being home after I had my heart attach we had a snow storm with Dr orders not to do any snow shoveling wife was really upset with me when she got home from work expecting to take the kids out to shovel and found not only our driveway clean but the neighborhood, after giving me a good piece of her mind she didn't talk to me for days. I tried to explain that it was emotional therapy. She is a nurse didn't buy it.
Ron hope you get your seat time to relax
Jay the prep was the begining of a weight loss program for me
Have a good Sunday and stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A beautiful clear and sunny 52ºF for today's low; a clear and sunny 68ºF presently; and I expect similar conditions and a high in the low 70ºF's later. Later today Wifey will be helping me with trail cleanup, and I'll probably end up healthily napping in my easy chair listening to football blather later. PennState lucked out yesterday with their win against Pittsburgh, but it was a decent enough game that kept me from napping.

David- Thanks for sharing your newest project. You did a good job with just your ripper and bucket; too bad about the ruts in the lawn.
:( There should be more contractors like George.

Thanks for the + thoughts. I suspect most of the posters here have had at least one colonoscopy experience themselves. Today I start the low residue diet. Today I realized that almost all the food in the house is too healthy (i.e. prohibited) :(; we do not eat processed white bread and snack food products, canned fruits and vegetables, nor sugar and artificial sweeteners?. I did manage to find a sorry looking, plain old bagel buried deep in the recesses of our freezer for breakfast. Tomorrow the "fun" begins:(.

Phil- Sorry to read about your wrists. MA got socked in with fog in a lot of areas this AM. There was a NWS hazardous weather alert for fog this AM. At ~1400 elevation we were above the fog banks today. My arms are still black and blue from my recent water/fuel challenges.

Eric- That book looks to be an interesting read. Thanks for the link. We got some similar wood shaving-paraffin fire starters when we got our new woodstove; they work really well. We save newspaper year round for fire starting purposes.

DABSGT- I highly suspect that most of the posters here have taken a few "risks" during their rehab. Wifey caught me up in our pear tree with an O2 tank strung over my shoulder and pruning limbs with my little Stihl chainsaw. She had a similar presentation as your Wife's. A bigger problem for me; she called my health insurance caseworker:eek: who subsequently gave me a major league RN nursing "Riot Act"; and no I did not wish to have an ex-football player man-child babysitter to keep me in timeout. I still blame my behaviors on the 100mg of Prednisone that I was taking daily.

I hope that everyone is having a decent weekend and those healthy remain healthy and those mending and healing continue to do so.

My + thoughts and prayers.

74°F and .21 inches rain.
Have to dismantle a 9ft section of block wall for my concrete prep. Shouldn’t be too bad as only 2 courses and just dry stacked.
