Here’s the deal, one artery occluded one narrowed and the bad valve.
They want to do both at the same time. Wanted to do it tomorrow but I just had get a bit of business straight, talk to a Ellen and my kids, etc...
So it will be Wednesday or Thursday.
My age and condition combine for an 85% complete success, and a combined morbidity/mortality rate of 15%. Not what I wanted to hear but to have a shot at my best life I think I have to go ahead.

Go for it. Godspeed...

Serious operation Randy, but strong prognosis, and I bet you are going to feel a lot better
with more horsepower after the operation. Let's see, with larger pipes and a good running pump,
you should pick up at least 30hp. ;)
Prayers for complete happy endings here. Prayers to ease Ellen's worries.

Prayers for Randy and his whole team.

Prayers for BEF.

Prayers for Betty and Ron.

Prayers for those who are in need. Hawkeye, how are your daughters?

Randy, I would do it. I've heard from multiple people who've had heart problems, and while the recuperation time is tough, They say they feel much, much better, complete with energy to spare afterwards.

Good evening all. 79F this morning, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Wind became moderate, sky stayed mostly clear and high temp was 101 HI 110. Today should be the last of the 100+F days for a while, 40% chance of rain tomorrow night! Bike ride this morning, followed by mowing part of the front lawn where the septic system laterals are. Then rehydration and nap. Did score some dead standing oak for firewood, while riding one of my fellow bike rider's was having some tree work done and I will get the large limbs in 5 foot lengths :). All I have to do is put down the sand in the back of the pickup so I have room for the wood.
Randy, good luck with your decision and procedure, prayers sent.
RNG, maybe your wood was dryer, it just burns better :drink:
Don usually ride 4 days a week most of the year. I will up it to 6 days when prepping for a week long ride, those are over for the summer in June. I have upped my intake of V8 juice, more nutrients and more sodium.
PJ sorry about the issues with the step kids, that sure can be awkward.
Buckeye, sounds like more progress, prayers sent.
prayers for all.

Mostly, I hope you are trained in the symptoms of heat exhaustion. It is deadly.

I can't remember how many have died trying to bike the "Hotter than He | |" bike race.
