Boo been good bear for the last 3 years, very beginning had couple good hard chats and spray bear mase on the trash can Boo shown no interest of trash can,but he been known to take sweatshirt baseball cap and boot.

Hiked Della all the way to the river for the first time...down the cliff and in for a swim in the rapids...she loved it, of course...already up to 33 lbs.

Della will be looking forward to more hikes often now.

good morning, 65 going to 79 nice and cooler, chance for rain tonight, hoping anyway

Picked up medication at the pharmacy yesterday and did some household chores.
Talked to one of my former coworkers and plan to meet next week. He is retired and lives during summer on Cape Cod. His daughter just graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is starting her new job in Mass

Good morning, the low is 57 and going to a high of 81°F. Wind calm. 30% chance of showers tonight.

Junior will go to town today with the letter that needs to be registered. I will cut the grass while he is gone.
Maybe I can con him into getting another 5'er of high test.

I check my blood sugar twice daily with a Contour Next sugar measuring device and at no time since May 12th has it been over 9.8 (that time was because I ate an orange and then checked my sugars after. Morning before breakfast it is in the 7s and before supper in the 6s. I'm eating 3 of 500mg of Metformin/day.
White Rabbit comes to mind EVERY time I gobble these goobers. "and the ones that Mother gives you don't do anything at all".

So that is my day planned out, grass cutting and smoking.

Have a safe day all

a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
boy do we need more of this capability out there

I minored in psychology at college, first of all, subconsciously I think, trying to figure myself out,
and then fascinated by what motivated others to do what they do.
Turned out to be good sales training, understanding needs and wants. And fears.
and yes it helped to figure myself out.
but for all of us, I think that's a work in progress anyway.

got the trash out, looked at local radar
well hello there
you arrived early
rain is coming in, system going up the coast
c'mon in, rain is sure welcome

now to do some light foodshopping
with so many veggies coming in, have to change my menu and
I guess time to stir fry.
That's why I was thinking of that griddle.
I don't have an air fryer and would prefer my
veggies not cooked in rendered hooves and snouts.

have a yellow squash for this evening, but it will be raining so have
to do it indoors.

nearly all of AT&T's cell customers just had the master database hacked
exposing all your texts and calls.
not good at all

the electronic bad guys are winning their fair share. Look at the recent disaster in the car industry when almost all the dealerships
master software went down for a week. I think they had to pay a huge ransom...I wonder if the story will come out.

you know some bad guy is coming after our power grid. I really, really hope we have our best minds on that.

what's worse on trash cans? ground hogs?
Here is one of two Marmots that were recently on my property. I trapped them in a drainage pipe by sealing off the only exit. Then dropped rat poison in through the drain grate. btw-- that is an 8" pipe and those are 12" pliers in the pix.

Today is our last forecasted day of over 100F. Just in time-- starting tomorrow I will be installing a modification to my RV refrigerator to change "absorption" to a 12V compressor. Never done it before-- hope it works!

Buppies ... hope you can get some sleep and things smooth out!

Everyone have a better day than the Marmots did!!!

Haven't heard much about the AT&T Hack, but the business system software hack affected a few of our competitiors (Heavy truck dealership) I can assure you some big money lawsuits are getting drafted about that...multiples of millions of dollars in lost revenue alone, someone's going to take that loss and it's not going to be the dealerships.

One of the IT security guys I watch on YouTube hacked powerplants for the Federal Government, look up PirateSoftware on the 'Tube if you're curious. Genuinely a great guy, now does Game Dev stuff.

In the spirit of this thread, Happy Friday y'all. Currently, 68 F going to a high of 84. Chance of rain later this afternoon. We need it bad.

Enjoy the day folks!

Good Morning,
Vt, 66 to start going to 81 with some low clouds, but the good news is no rain ! As I understand it, Ct is getting some rain so we are in a good place today !

Plowhog, wow that thing is huge !

Thomas, prayers for you with a quick recovery ! 🙏

Don, that bird probably ate the tree rat ! 😉

I think I already mentioned buying a 15" Powermatic planer
Kyle, I always admired the Powermatic Planer ! I have an old Grizzly Planer 15” that does a good job but would love to own the Powematic ! Does that have the indexable carbide inserts for the cutter head ? I’m guessing that goes for a pretty penny !

Was hoping for more sun for our company but no rain and will make it work !

Buppies, sorry no sleep, hope tonite is better !

Randy, sometimes it’s good to do nothing ! I don’t seem to have that problem ! 😉

Hope all have a Good Friday ! 🙏

BEF don't forget to figure in the return air. In my old house each room had a return air grill in this older house there is one in the master bedroom and three others in various hallways. This helps maintain a constant temp through out without hot and cold areas.

Mostly, all the roads in the hood are city roads and the golf carts are legal. No license plates (or fees) required.

Good morning! 71˚ clouds this afternoon will keep us out of the hundreds with a S wind.

Various project today but mowing the yard and trimming some of the 99 hedges is on top of the list.

Ring seems to be working after Ring support changed a setting on the iPhone, but will try a few test today. Still can't figure out why google maps has my house blurred out.

I'm thinking of leasing the area behind my house for $1, from the Community Assoc. as there is a special provision for this. but first I have to come up with a plan on the landscaping. There is a small piece that I can see the road and I want to plant a visual barrier. July and August are too hot anyway to play outside so I have a few months to contemplate.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 5:15AM. Cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 77F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

This new place is in the 'burbs, Drew, but so far I've seen opossums and raccoons in the back yard. Knock on wood none of them have found the trash can yet.🤞🏻

Glad to read that you and Jr. are getting along OK without you being able to drive, Bill. Any such thing as Uber or Lyft up there in case you wear out his legs?

More rearranging in the garage yesterday, but still not happy with the result. The mill was in a corner up north and that was a very efficient and out of the way place for it. Three of the corners here have doors on one side, the last corner has the water heater. Couldn't block any of them with the mill, so it ended up next to the door into the laundry room, about four feet from the wall out in the middle of everything. Had a bit of a scare when I saw that the head was still tipped over at a 45° angle and that it was sitting under one of the hanging shelves. Had to remove one of the 2x4 supports from the shelf to let the head go completely vertical, but there's not much weight on the shelf and the head ended up with a few sheets of typing paper worth of clearance above it. Had to use the rope winch to move the mill into position, and had to install a screw eye into the wall to provide an anchor. For some reason it wasn't rolling easily on the lengths of 1/2" pipe I used up north, so maybe the floor down here isn't as level?

The giant Big Boy locomotive came down the Feather River Canyon up north yesterday. Kinda wish I'd been up there to see it, but from all accounts the traffic was a mess with all the train spotters chasing it. I wondered at the wisdom of running a coal fired engine on those tracks at the peak of wildfire season, and a new wildfire broke out near Railbridge Road, but thank goodness it's no where near the tracks Big Boy ran on.

More rearranging today, then BBQ pizza with friends tonight. And a trip to the grocery store and Costco some time in between.

TGIF gang!

Still can't figure out why google maps has my house blurred out.
Here's some info on how people are blurring images of their house in Google Maps, Don. Unfortunately, once blurred, there doesn't appear to be any way to UN-blur the photo, as is the case here at the new house.

Don, yes, need to size returns properly also. I have 3 returns upstairs and I ran numbers on them also.
Bigboy burns oil, it was converted.

Next week will get hot again. Looks like rain will miss us again today, think I’ll buy a trash pump, and start pumping water from the creek for the garden. Better save my well.

I have various leak detection tools, the sniffer is the least helpful, my go to is the ultrasonic listener-

And the next most used is the simplest and cheapest-

Yep, I have a quart bottle of hand spray leak detector sitting on the shelf. I had to get a new bottle when I had some new gas lines run last summer and couldn't find small bottles easily.

I wonder if there is someone in witness protection under the blur, and I don't mean Don...

got the storm door cut up and it fit into can just fine. Bosch jig saw with metal blade had just enough
reach to cut all the way through.

then put new water filters in the rv, good thing because the one coming out had a punky smell to it, from sitting
in all this hot weather.

not happy to find the cheesy dining room table in rv has split its top, just vinyl over mdf it looks like.
So I need to either put another layer of wood on top, as thin as I can buy it, or perhaps even fake wood vinyl.
would be nice to have real wood there
hmmmm, who do I know that knows how to build a table?

would need a serious planer to get conventional wood thin enough.
I have no experience with veneer. Wondering whether wood look vinyl, but better than what's on there now,
would be useful alternative.

Shot Spotter?
What is a shot spotter, is that the device that is used in the cities to try and triangulate were a shot is fired from? If so I would have to say not likely here and this is the first one I have seen around.
