22WMR ....... Even better! I have a Remington 22 rifle with a cheap scope that I've had for ever and a Ruger 10/22 Charger. I wish Ruger would build the Charger in 22WMR.

Ruger(R) 22 Charger™ * Rimfire Pistol Models

I've just started looking at the Ruger American that's available in 22WMR.

Ruger(R) Ruger American(R) Rimfire Standard Bolt-Action Rifle Model 8352

I like those Ruger American rifles. Good stuff at a fair price. The Charger looks like a pistol version of the 10/22 ... probably can't go wrong with that.

Mine is the Savage 93G, the slightly bigger brother to my Mk-IIG .22LR.

You sure 20' is long enough? I've run into some pretty smart, and accurate, skunks, one that hosed down a couple of mid-air dirt bikers (not me) at a distance well over 20'...

That must have been one seriously powerful skunk. Most only spray out to about 15 feet or so, at least as I understand it. 20' has worked well in the past. But, like I said, it's sure to be an adventure one way or another.

The Charger is a 10/22 and nice size to carry in tractor cab too. I added a red dot to mine.

It would be really handy in 22 WMR.

Here are some better photos, Kyle:

These are the jack shafts. The stubborn CV joints are on the right ends, I was able to get the CVs off the left ends with only a minor wrestling match involving a big hammer and a drift.:confused2:

These CVs are all one piece that includes the splines that drive the front wheels.

This circlip drops into a groove in the shaft when the tabs on the circlip are as shown. Supposedly, moving the tabs apart expands the circlip, forcing it into a groove in the ID of the CV and releasing the shaft from the CV. Seems to me, even with the circlip in the position shown, I should be able to drift the CV along the jack shaft enough to cause the circlip to bind, but I've been unable to move the CV even that far. Just received a 10 ton porta-power, so I'll maybe give that a try tomorrow.

I'm wondering if there is a 2nd circlip, on the backside keeping it on? Is there a trick to possibly getting the balls to come out?

Prayers for BEF and Randy, and for the rest of the team.

Buckeye, sorry you are being poked and prodded but sounds like you are where you need to be.
Yes, lower back pain can be all kinds of things, hopefully MRI's have ruled out a lot. Hope the food is edible.

Been a hot day and I've stayed inside after working this morning. Might venture out after dinner to pick tomatoes.
Did find some little melons this morning. The golden striped one was from seeds left over from last year, an Armenian melon named Tigger.
Cut open the smallest melon, just to make sure something worthwhile inside, and yes, about two bites, nice and sweet.

Neurologist think they know, will run another test tomorrow to confirm, have to stop my blood thinner first. If positive, a 5 day iv treatment. One of symptoms, besides loosing ability to walk, is lower back pain....
If not that, maybe a tick bite.

Ill be in awhile.

Cat scan came back as nothing. That was good news.

Good luck, no fun being in the hospital that long.

Good evening all. 74F for the start, mostly clear sky, light north wind. Wind was moderate, sky mostly sunny, and a high temp of 93F. Cleaning lady came today so some house prep, mounted rear light from the Volagi on the 10-speed along with the spedo, the wireless does not like having sending unit on one side of bike and the display on the other, so changed it after the ride(lost about 5 miles of the 20 and speed read out varied a lot). Enjoyed the drop in temp and humidity, but other than a nap not much else this afternoon got done.
Buckeye, prayers for healing.
prayers for all.

Our weather is hard to guess at the moment and the forecasts have not been much help. Instead of the rain prediction coming as a percentage, it would be about as helpful if they just showed :confused3:

My wife likes wild flowers, but unfortunately sheep like them even more. There are plenty in the hay meadows and hedges, but other places tend to be just grass and weeds. Last year she collected seed heads and spread them on the banking of this track. I have been under orders not to allow grazing here until autumn.

Sure isnt fun.
Good. We don't won't you enjoying hospital, or you will only keep going back for more. :)

Drew, your fruit and veg pics keep on coming like the glossy front covers of gardening magazines

Im too young to have been in the hospital as much as i have. Usually they are shorter stays. This is like my 5th time in around 5 yrs, not counting outpatient stuff.

Flowers are pretty.
