Morning all, 23/25 going up to 49 and sunny.
Got the router sled built, now to start on the rails.
Will be able to "flatten" some of the planks and rounds when done.
I don't have a large work table, so figuring out how to run this on a smaller table is interesting.
Pictures tomorrow if I remember tonight. Didn't have time last night.

yes, we are going to get walloped with rain, hope all do ok up north with the snow.

Back to the day job,

Be well

The news shows a clip of a group of young men fighting with soldiers to forcibly cross the Mexico border, tearing down fencing and illegally entering the US. This is undeniably an invasion.
A shame :(

We will just have to get more 'creative' in how we discuss things relating to health.
for sure
I think we did that well with the alligators
most importantly, just be nice
hmmmm
makes me want to test the system, must be the devil in me...
let's see if the little yellow light goes on.

balls
terrorist
gun
karen
world is flat
immigration
vaccine
peace
breast
God
Allah

let's see how many times we can make it go ding ding ding....
my apologies to the moderator, please keep your sense of humor

so much is about context
but yes this is getting more complicated, I wonder if there is a list of words that are
immediate triggers. I can guess at a bunch of them.

Good Morning!!!! 49F back here in Orcutt, CA. Sun and clouds mixed. High 66F. E winds shifting to W at 10 to 15 mph.

I worry about burning batteries, too, Drew. I picked up a little inexpensive 18"x18" stainless steel table off Amazon just to get the battery charger up off the ground.

Mess with the bull and you'll get the horns, Drew. :ROFLMAO:

Yesterday's trip got off on the wrong foot when I couldn't get the van all the way up the hill to the street. All those tool boxes meant the trailer was probably heavier than it's ever been, and carrying a relatively light load in the van was enough to unweight the front driving wheels so they spun uselessly in the gravel. Ended up backing down the driveway, very slowly so as not to go off the steep drop off to the side, hoping I had enough brakes to maintain control. My hands were shaking by the time I got back to the short concrete driveway that led back to the house, easily 1/8 mile in reverse, around a bend. Thought about calling a friend to see if he'd pull me up the hill with the tractor, but took several deep breaths and gave it one more try. Stuck to the left side of the drive where the gravel wasn't quite as deep and kept the front wheels spinning, traction control off, all the way up and over the top. Just barely made it, but good enough to get me on my way. Back on pavement, I got another clue that the trailer was way heavier than anything to date on the climb up to the main highway. Locked the transmission down into 1st and kept the revs up to about 4500 RPM and made slow but steady progress, never had to do that before, either. Then it was all down hill to the valley, and between engine braking and trailer brakes had no problem keeping the speed down through the corners so nothing shifted around in the load. Pulled over in Marysville to make sure nothing had come loose in the trailer, and found most of the straps had slack and the big roll away tool boxes were banging into the workbench. Spent the next half hour climbing around in the dark rerouting the straps, hoping the changes held things a little better. I5 seemed a lot rougher, as the thin layer of asphalt they laid down a few years ago was badly cracking at the expansion joints underneath, and the poor patch jobs were coming apart, too. Made me wish for one of those trucker air seats. Good thing I layered moving blankets between the tool chests and workbench, as everything in back was getting friendly, but otherwise seemed unharmed. Geared down again to get over the two small mountain passes along the way and ten hours later rolled in. Neighbor across the street was already home so I couldn't use his driveway to get the trailer aimed right, so I just parallel parked and left the rig out in the street.

Rain starts tonight, but I don't think it'll take near as long to unload as it did to pack. Just have to make sure to jack up the back of the trailer so the front doesn't go flying up into the air as things roll down the ramp.

TGIF gang!

I started a thread a while back.
and that didn't tell us what we wanted, since built in software autoreplaces it with ******

I had to chuckle, have to be careful using the word mostly since we have our own Mostly.

I did see where Ken posted the same kind of thing in his internal email, lighting up the IT desk.
we must have the same sense of humor...
btw, our moderator does have a sense of humor, no yellow lights for me.

sun is out, finally warming up, headed downtown to buy a Powerball ticket which is just my excuse to get out of the house

If your words are not replaced with ****** after you post you should be good to go. Here is my list:
Trump
Biden
covid
Democrat
Republican

Edit: Just looks like the top two presidential candidates names were replaced.

The security person I did the 50 flagged words list in email, was famous for shooting his Mac when it crashed.
The good old days of wall street, when shooting your Desktop wasn't considered a problem
Luckily him and I were friends and he had a sense of humor.

Surprised no censorship of oil types, weights and brands after some of the fights on here :) See I can type 5w30 without **** appearing

I still say synthetic is the best.

64°F and 1.35 inches rain.
Happy Birthday to my dear sweet wife and partner, Sophie.

A very different day ahead.

My 24 sheet shredder was delivered late yesterday. Will be putting it through its paces shredding cardboard. Will use as soil amendment.

Afternoon will be spent at Memorial for our Friend Joyce who passed just after Thanksgiving. About 150 expected between 1-6. Potluck. While it will be a joyous celebration, it will be emotional at some point. Then we are on tear down duty.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

RE: the southern border being invaded. Border patrol has guns, why don't they use them. You guys pay them through your taxes to protect your borders don't you? You are being invaded.

As for freedom of speech, sticks and stones will break my bones BUT names will never hurt me.
That is what I was brought up believing and I still believe it. People are getting way too thin skinned.

44.8F and mostly cloudy @ 14:00, heading up to around 46F for the high. Low this morning was 22.8F ...

Some warming improvement in the Ten Day - now calling for a high of 63F this coming Monday.

Heard a big crack/snap on the west side of the house the other day when the winds were blowing pretty hard followed shortly thereafter by a loud crash. Went and looked out the kitchen window and the area out by the feeders was littered with ash sticks and branches.

Went over and looked out the kitchen door and saw that the large, dead ash had snapped off at around 4' above the ground. Probably at least 14" DBH and around 30' tall.

Noticed it was dead last year, probably should have cut it down then but there was some question as to who's property it was actually on.

Now it's hung up in the southernmost maple in the west planting bed ... 🤬

There are probably 4 dead ones total out there in that same general area, with at least another 2 similarly broke off and hung up in a different tree. Tried to pull one down last year with the tractor and no joy.

Makes it a real hazard to be anywhere over in that area ... :(

Got hopper and one suet feeder refilled the other day, tube feeders were empty as well, need to refill those today.

More work done out in the garage.

Relocated the new outlet box on the west (back) wall to come off the side of the switch box for the furnace so that it isn't so close to the top of the workbench.

That allowed me to move the mechanics hand toolbox over to the workbench up against the wall and it fit perfectly there. Frees up some space on the low workbench on the north wall.

Then relocated the combination wrenches hanging on the pegboard on that back wall over by the toolbox.

That frees up more space on the pegboard for woodworking tools.

Got some of the back bench top cleared off.

More dirt swept up off the floor and some other vacuuming done.

Located the YouTube of the guy replacing the seals on the front axle bevel gear cases on a B7500 and watched that again in preparation to do that on the B2910. Really glad I did - he had an updated video as one side was still leaking after he did it, later discovered he had a cracked knuckle housing ... so now know to check those before calling it done.

Of course The Woman wanted to know what all was involved in doing that job so I made Her watch the video as well.

She always wants to know what all is involved in doing a project like that ... until you give Her the answer .... and then decides She really doesn't want to know all the details ...

Contacted CPA to set up an appointment and of course he's totally jammed up at this point so had him file extension. Will set up an appointment once his schedule frees up after the 15th.

Likely head back out into the garage for the rest of the day.

Hope LS is doing ok.

Hope everyone has a decent Friday ... (y)

Ron, turkeys and buzzards are some of the ugliest birds out there, they definitely got the short end on looks.

Good Morning this afternoon! Beautiful Day! Sunny and 74f rght now in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Going to refill the non-ethanol gas cans this afternoon. All that mowing depleted my stockpile.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon and evening! Take a nap if you need it, eat well and be happy! Prayers for our Nation.
