Good evening all. 58F this morning, overcast, .1 inch in rain gauge, calm wind. Light wind day, sky started clearing mid morning, and high temp was 82F. Got the old GPS mounted on 10-speed, bike ride to check out old gps and menus, trip to Sherman to pick up Trek and mail newer gps back to Garmin, they are supposed to send a refurb. that will post phone notifications on gps. And fixed wife voicemail on her phone, can now leave mesg. again
Kyle good to hear you are home.
Pretty pics, all.
RNG, when I had flat spotted tires on trailer, I could hear them, when on the car, they were more of a thump, then a vibration. Using said tires improved noticeably at first, then plateaued.
David hope you get LP fixed w/o becoming a news article on TV
Prayers for all

I'm home.
Feel like I've been 10 rounds with the champ.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Glad your home Kyle!

Now .... put your feet up and let others take care of you.

Milk it ..... as long as you think prudent.

Kyle, feel better.
67 going to 79 today in thunderstorms.
Meeting at Ag Extension building, allegedly headed out to local field to watch big farmer plant, but
not today, not in the rain.

Last night's food pantry dinner was nice, I got a pin and a big thank you for the veggie work, and then because the owner of the place
wasn't there, and no one knew how to use the overly fancy A/V equipment (no PC, no keyboard, no mouse) the power point picture show
never got done. No loss, we all had a good time, well over a hundred people there. Barbershop quarter sung, plus a local minister sang the benediction.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Good morning all. It is mostly dry, yet then when the rain does come, it does it with just a little too much enthusiasm. Yesterday I was sitting in the local hospital, waiting for my wife to have some more physio lessons for her arm, when one of the fleeting thunderclouds took out the electric supply. The standby generators quickly kicked in but things still ground to a halt for a while because computers could no longer access patient records.

I didn't mind the wait as there were plenty of quality magazines to read. In one was a review of the new line of "small" tracked tractors, built in Challenger's factory in Minnesota and modified to use Fendt's super smooth transmission. Anyone have space for another little garden tractor ? Tempted Drew ? :)

RNG; if you want to get rid of the Geese said:
I'm sorely tempted, Bill, but if they caught me, I'd prolly have free room'n'board for life. The lake is state property...

But wait! They caught some guy north of here, still in Kalifornia, that killed hundreds of raptors, eagles and hawks, and just left 'em layin' around his property to find. And find they did, and after all was said and done, all he got was a several thousand dollar fine.

Now where's my 30-06?

I was a player until I saw the $479,768.92 price tag, Eric. Dang, it even had a PTO!

Good Morning!!!!70F @ 2:15AM. Sunny. High 88F. Winds light and variable.

I guess it's technically morning, but I've yet to get any sleep. What I'd hoped would be a brief question-and-answer session with the ex-mechanic turned into a cluster f*** attempt at repairing the air conditioning on the van. I was surprised he even offered to make the effort, but after the first try, which involves at least 45 minutes of waiting while a vacuum pump sucks the plumbing dry, the compressor was making a moan that rivaled what I'll be making in the morning. So we got to start all over, except this time I got to dismount the A/C compressor and empty it out of what little oil it contained. Which was far from the recommended amount. And after putting the proper amount back in and enduring another vacuum purge, it made only a slightly less desperate sound. That's when the pity party started, with the mechanic winging he'd made some super human effort to locate a new, made in Japan by Subaru, compressor for just the right year engine, and how it cost $450 to replace if the lack of oil ended up roaching it. You fellas would have been proud of how I refrained saying anything, because what I was thinking if the idiot had put the right amount of oil in it to begin with, and properly sealed it so the R134 refrigerant remained inside instead of leaking out, we wouldn't have had to go through this near death march repair. Just to top it all off, when I went to leave, the headlights refused to come on, and it took me another hour working in the dark to jumper around them, mostly due to not being able to find simple electrical parts in that Aladdin's cave of junk. So apparently now I've traded a working but moaning A/C for another Easter egg hunt looking for why the lights don't. Not sure that's quite an even trade, but we make the best of what we're dealt, right?

In the good news department, the LEDs headlights on low beam are brighter and better focused than almost any other vehicle I have, so the drive home was safe and even a bit relaxing with the A/C blowing deliciously cold air on my tummy. Just wish I hadn't have had to fumble around under the dash in the dark making and breaking the Jerry rigged headlight connector when I stopped for gas and groceries...

TGIF gang! :drink:
