Good morning! 37 ˚F and a yesterday's evening pic of our clubs green house which is starting to get busy. First time I noticed the red light which made it interesting enough to be picture worthy.

The cement blocks around my raised bed need straightening and I see an opportunity to do some modifications so there will be no more out of line blocks. I'll have to use 2" PVC horizontally with T to the bottom row . . . I 'll just take a pic during construction.

Mom did remember using the old farm machine for cutting corn stalks. But, always a but, There was a sick relative that moved to Houston and he stored his equipment in the barn and then he died and my grand parents died and my uncles pull the equipment out of the barn so Mom does not know if that particular machine was grandpa's or the sick relative's. Both uncles have since died also so the mystery will remain forever.

Just came in from feeding the birds...they were so thankful they just about jumped in my hands.

Ice in the birdbath is slanted uphill onto the rim by 3inches by the strong winds last night as it froze.

A big beautiful moon dipped into the western horizon, painted lavender by the soon to rise sun.

Wife’s birthday is tomorrow have to see what we can get for her. She is a little over a year younger than I am but looks 20 years younger. I’ll have to dig deep in my bag of tricks to find that something special. She is a golfer and likes to work outside but has very little time for either one too cold now anyway so now must go down a different path. When I come up with something and I’m running out of time I’ll share

My picture did not do it justice. It was amazing to see, i had never seen one, and they are not that uncommon.

0° CLOUDY, feels like -19°. Forecast High of 4F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

I started cleanup about 3 pm yesterday, it was still sleeting but I felt the need to get out in it and get it done. No cab here, so I donned my flip up motorcycle helmet over a thin balaclava, snowmobiling bibs, hi-viz yellow-green motorcycle jacket, insulated muck boots, rubber gloves and went at it. The 6" of granular snow on top of the ice (which is everywhere here) was light and mixed with sleet ice pellets. The chains worked well though it was dicey on the steep driveway at Mom's. I used low 1st gear for all the tight places.

The road plow guy stopped for a quick hello, he has a Kioti too! I wrapped it up not long after dark. Backing up with the pulsating signal light for illumination was a bit disconcerting. I'll have to get some additional lighting, thinking LED's,and maybe a strobe, on the ROP's. I'll finish it all up later today, after work.

The moon was partially eclipsed as I walked home from a neighbors house where we watched the game. It was cold, single digits, but my wife ventured out for a quick minute to check it out. Wow, what a game! That was one of the best games I've seen!

No more washing cars and trucks for me anymore. Car wash is on the way to PT.

Me, too. And we have a car wash place close that does a good job for $6. However, the new Buc-ee's costs a little more but is without a doubt the longest and best. most thorough drive through car wash I've ever seen.

I will not use a brush wash. New sheetz put in a nice brushless wash, took the pilot thru fri night.

Down to 7°, but sun is shining, so should start to warm up. Optional holiday, im staying home.
