One pound prints?
before "quarter pounders" came in, butter was sold in one pound blocks aka prints.
My grandfather sold the business when he was forced by Borden to compete, they had the new quarter pound
production machinery. He sold out to Borden instead. Made a lot of money for back then and within a year lost 90 percent of it
in stock market crash. Went back to work selling Fords.

Drinking frist cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with sunny skies. It rained and misted all day yesterday. Only thing I got done was give Sassy a bath. Visiting my uncle today.
Dancing in the rain.

good morning all. Another night getting woken up by driving rain on the windows.
A little more rain this morning, then clearing and a little cooler, maybe 83 today.
off to PT early this morning, then day is clear.

My grandfather, who came through Ellis Island in 1901, was a super hard working guy.
And he always dressed up. Have a wonderful pic of him on some NJ beach in the 20's wearing his
suit. This was what first gen immigrants did I guess when they wanted some respect and to show
they were successful. What was very cool was he was into photography too. So we have some ancient pics floating around,
most I've had to scan. And lots of pics of my gen as babies. I have one of me in a kitchen sink getting a bath that is pretty cute, at
age 1 or so. 1951.

nice hat Grandmom!
I never knew her, she died when I was five or six. Grandfather lasted into my early teens.

Happy Birthday PJ, and hopefully many many more

66 going to 89, lower humidity!

Thomas, sorry about the CDL physical. You seem to be getting along very well.

Happy Birthday, PJ!

Arranged for an exterminator to come out today...hope that will work. I'll tell the hornets "goodbye" when I walk past them feeding birds after it gets light in a few minutes. I have to pass their tree within 5 feet for one feeder I have to re-hang.

Got most everything needing it mowed, but the little 1/4 inch rain dried out faster than I thought. Then did prep work for some interior painting.

Electronics in cars are very handy, but have really driven prices up. I still remember the first vehicle I bought with just simple cruise control...thought I was on top of the world on long trips. The worst electronics in cars are...cell phones...can't believe the number of folks I still see staring down at their phone or texting while driving...and making dangerous driving mistakes because of it.

65 outside this AM, heading into the mid 80's. 90% humidity this AM. Fog bank over the pastures.

Day job called, need to head into the city this AM. Stress factor is on, big boss needs lots of information, of course turn around time is tighter than tight. Got lots of little projects going on that all come down to the next few days. No more auto-pilot for the rest of the week, time to produce.

Plumber got back to us for Milk House water and waste tie in and hook-ups. Not super expensive. Still waiting on roofer to come by. Need to do something with the chimney first.

ZTR should be returning tomorrow. Wife commented how much she loves me for taking care of the "yard". LOL. Two weeks of no mow....yeah, not a good look. LOL. Too lazy to get tractor out. Eyeballed prices of bushhogs and rakes, since mine are slightly used, wow, I think I can get what I paid for them, back.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good morning! Glad to report Texas is not hot (actually jacket cold) for a few hours today, currently 66˚F before the cloudless sky lets the sun heat us back to 100˚ this afternoon and 107˚ tomorrow.

Buppies the middle of September does not sound too far away.
